  1. Bahahaha. I suppose we could have raw egg races too if the bite is off..
  2. Anyone want to hedge any bets on how many boats can be crowded into the narrows? At only 4 weeks away, someones going to have to do a lot of dancing to get the sunshine to melt off all that ice. I can remember a number of years back, the second week still had ice on the main part of the bay out by Grape Is and just past the island on the Cooch side. You could only launch at the Narrows by the campground at the bridge. With the weather forecast for the next seven days, doesn't appear a whole lot of melting will take place.
  3. Unless you're a gorilla, (don't know your age), EPS is the cats meow. Although not recommended you can easily steer the ATV with one hand with virtually no shoulder wrenching feedback. We did a 200+ km trek 2 years ago in the fall around Temiscamingue one weekend and another last summer, about 120km in Grey Bruce. No aches and pains for me.
  4. Nice find, there's a couple of nice deals there.
  5. I'll bet there's something brown and stinky in his pants. Lucky he didn't get clipped. This brings me back back to flashing lights which we were all opinionated about, be they 4 way hazards or other emergency vehicles. Studies have found that people drive towards things that attract their attention, like flashing lights. They are annoying as ____, they can blind you and get you going in the wrong direction. I'd much favour the "sequential direction arrow" or "move left" than the nuclear red and blue bubble gum machine. And, for anymore that ever gets into the scenario, for christ sake, don't be standing between vehicles, get off the shoulder and on the other side of the guardrail if there is one.
  6. Yamaha Kodiak without thinking. We have two at work that are bush and trail ridden in the warmer months, all winter they are used for parking lot plowing. The winter plowing is not nice on them, there's a bunch of numpties at work that could break cement eggs given enough time, but they are still running, one has close to 10,000, the other around 7000 with minimal maintenance, twice a year oil changes and check the brakes. You get what you pay for, and you don't get much when you cheap out, it tends to add up at the other end in the maintenance shop
  7. Hahahaha, never mind a snowblower, you'd be better off with a tunneling machine.
  8. Hahahaha, a GM maxipad. There undoubtedly more Cummins on the road doing the long haul than GM can ever dream of.
  9. you're right, most light them on fire and leave them there..
  10. Apparantely it was airborn for over 200 feet, gives you an idea of the speed involved.
  11. Fun for the kids is the main part of the game, definitely better than getting sofa bum.
  12. Bahahaha. Doug, that's called lack of maintenance. I know you.
  13. Sometimes the names that tires get don't do them any justice..Rovello.. sounds like a jello icecream bar. I've got some b*tard brand winter tire called Champiro, they go round, they stick like pike snot and don't loose air.
  14. Nice catching, you still had some snow cover up there, IBP had nothing.
  15. For those that are going tomorrow it's going to be interesting. Slippery for sure. There's virtually no snow cover left and with tonights temps it's going to be something between a skating and curling rink out there. No cooling for liquid cooled sled and track sliders. Walkers would be smart to bring cleats or golf shoes. That's if anyone is going to brave the retarded cold temps tomorrow.
  16. You must have a decent track of every attempt you made to have the vehicle fixed and the outcome, time/date is excellent, who you spoke to, any paper trail such as the work orders, etc. When he submitted his case, he had all his "ducks in a row", the arbitrator was amazed and the Nissan rep just sat there dumbfounded. He only lost a small amount for the 5 month period.
  17. Thanks for your contribution Art
  18. GM trucks had quite the CL3/4 hitch failure a few years ago. As for Nissan, a family member had a brand new Frontier that was bought back after arbitration last fall. Quality disaster and dealer incompetance for repairs.
  19. Lets put it this way, if you have a 20 inch transom and put on a short shaft, you'll be doing nothing more that blowing around a bunch of foamy water.
  20. Yes, Simcoe has them by the unbelievable sized flocks, Nippissing, G Bay, everywhere. A veritable eating machine and wherever they nest, the ground and trees are completely destroyed by their fecal matter. I would hate to see the annual mass in fish they consume every year.
  21. For me it would be a day off work that I would gladly loose to make the point. If it wasn't for zippers, some of them wouldn't know which side is front or back.
  22. If you keep ignoring the facts, the situation will never be resolved to the point where the lake and its fish mass becomes profitable for everyone.
  23. By the water fuzz. So you can tell them where to go...with accuracy
