Have you tried a silver buddy for Perch yet? They are the killer lure down here. I vertical jig them from a boat and they get the big ones from below the herd. Nice batch of fish for sure. Art

. I had a great time at St. Lucia. The fishing was good after I found the pattern of what they wanted. The lure of choice was 1/2 oz silver/blue Rattletrap. The place was between the 2nd and third reef was good but the action spots were next to the Spa after dark in the light that cast over the water. The morning and evening spot as it darkened was up the beach 50 ft past the blue shack for kite surfers. The fish caught were amberjack, schnook, and the blue reef fish. I got spooled once using 40lb braid and a medium heavy rod and shimano calcutta 300 reel. I had to clamp down on one and pulled the hook and a busted line on a third one. I wish I could have seen those fish. I also did the charter and while we got skunked we did raise a Marlin but could not talk it into striking. Thanks for taking the time to fill me in it made it easier to chose my tackle and have a successful trip. Art

Virginia and Pennsylvania are about 8 hours from the peace bridge. The Susqahanna and the Potomac river are good for Bass, Catfish both Flatties and Blues are available. You are also in line to see our nations capitol with some really great museums too. Art

The Home Depot contractors have a very poor reputation here in the States. Best bet is to have a cabinet maker remove the cabinet and install facing to make it fit correctly. Then an electrician to pull a line from the panel to the dishwasher. The Plumber will then tap into the hot water line and run the drain to the Garbage disposal tap in or a drain T in the line. He should be able to mount the dishwasher in the top and level it. All told it will get you the best job without any juryrigging. Art

Richen up the mid range will help with the cooling of the engine. Do not add oil as said oil is a lubricant not a coolant. The fuel going into as it flashes has the cooling effect you want. Find all of the pieces before you rebuild there is nothing worse than lunching a new rebuild because you got impatient. Art -
I will take you fishing and fish my most productive spots with no issues. I will also go fishing with you and you will take me to your best spots. I will ask your permission before I go fish a spot that you brought me too. I would hope you will return the courtesy. If not then you will find my fishing calendar is full when you ask to go again with me. Art

I also will add that the vapors from the lead are toxic and it is a poison that accumulates in your system. If you are heating lead clean or dirty make sure you have adequate ventilation. Remember if you can smell the lead then you are breathing toxic fumes. I almost always use old wheel weights the garages are happy to give them to you or charge a small price if they scap them. Once I get them I sort thru them and any that are rubber coated or shiny(aluminum) I set them aside for recycling. Then melt them down till they are liquid. The metal clamps and the impurities float to the top and I use an old spoon that is marked not for food use to skim off the impurities then the shiny lead I either let cool off as a ingot or pour the heads. Don't forget to not smoke while pouring and wash your hands before eating or drinking. Gloves and eye protection is a must if you mix any water or saliva with the lead while melted it will violently splatter from the steam. Be safe I have the scars to prove what carelessness will do to you. Art

Thanks Lorne the roots to Carp fishing tournaments are in Europe I believe and the area you have to fish are quite different than the waterways we are blessed with here. The sport over there are very formal in dress and actions and that blends in to the rules of yesteryear and flavor the rules we follow over here. Art

Welcome to the club I am not even tempted by my buddies Gloomis rods any more. I think he is finding that my rods are very nice also he seems to get "confused" and picking up my rods when we are fishing in the same boat. Art -
That is a nice system t.j. it looks like it is a place to check back every few days to see what nugget of goodness pops up. Art
