  1. Well if you hadn't been drinking and trying to show me how fast the boat could go we would have never run OVER that island. It was not the little rash on the prop that was bad it was removing the pine trees from the rub rails that made it a pain in the butt. Art
  2. MMMMM fish and potatos. Thanks for the pictures and post. Art
  3. You got my support Capt. I think it makes sense for the change of one day to make the kick off of a season better. I would only think it would be to late only if they have printed all of the rules and reg's by now. I am very happy to see that the Lak Air Lodge will be up and running this year. Art
  4. For Bass: A good amount of the time that I use the A rig it is on calm evenings as the sunsets and I float along quietly waiting for the baitfish to be chased to the surface. I then overcast the area and drag off to the side of the baitfish with excellent results. I will also after covering the sides send it deep below the school and pick up a few more. Art
  5. I see a 20 % loss with a 3000 lb boat behind the F150. I see the same with my 1500 lb boat. The drag factor is as important as the weight. I also can burn 15 % more if I go from 55 mph to 70 mph. A boat cover that fits well and does not flap will get you back 5 %. Art
  6. I have found a tool that is part of this new board if you hover over the item if it has a use it will name itself. Art
  7. Just a side note here: The reason a thread gets locked is when things are not discussed with facts, becomes a mud slinging contest or becomes heavily trolled. As a rule all of the Mod's want to hear what you have to say and I personally have learned a great deal from everyone here. Sorry to interrupt this thread with this I just wanted to let the people know that we are human too. Art
  8. About the only good thing about not going metric is F* numbers give the perception it is warmer than it is. Art
  9. I am sure Spiel can build you a rod that fits the bill. You can also if you are looking for roller guided rods look at Saltwater rigs available more easily in USA stores. Art
  10. Cap. thanks for chiming in. I as you know have been fishing with you all for 6 years plus. I fish for pike most of the time and rarely go for Walleye but there are some big Walleye in the weeds. I do think that it should be billed as a multi species place because of the strong catches of Bass,Muskie,Perch and Pike. The Walleye I can't speak for since to me it is a by catch species in my style of fishing. Art
  11. Clear packing tape over the outside of the door lip will stop the wind and tell you what area to look at. Art
  12. Good example with the water pipe issue. Art
  13. Do what I did I sent him pictures of all of my nice fish and he said he would stock the lures that are in the picture. Says it will save him money..... Art
  14. an asian carp eats 5 to 10 percent of it's body weight per day. A cormorant eats 400-500 grams (1 lb) per day. A bag of styrofoam peanuts would be pretty dramatic per pound. Art
  15. On the Cormarand thing bring a bag with X amount of stuff equal to a days/week worth of fish they eat. Art
  16. ARRRR i'm taking a pirates stand...I'll not be fishn with any of them there T.J. shiny thing a ma bobs. Black Beard Art Arrr
  17. My Android based tablet (google) just updated and added a voice controlled Google search. The plot thickens. Art
  18. I remember the first 4 Rod's Chris built for me all noble tools at a great price. The 5th one I offered to help and the price doubled. go figure. lol Art
  19. No your confused it is the end without the eyeballs. If this tip saves just one finger I will feel my public service has been done for the day. Art
  20. Chris and Chris good job I think you got an understudy. Art
  21. check pinned section for mobile/skins update

  22. We're getting stuff done by professionals, I would do the skin install, but I'd rather have someone do it that does this type of thing every day rather than me or Roy would could easily make a mistake. So everyone is just gonna have to be patient. a note from T.J.

  23. Thanks guys... were working on new skins and perhaps were gonna add another mobile version as well, so lots to choose from EVENTUALLY. The person we have hired to do the skins for us .. has just come off a bout with the flu, a bad one I may ad, and they are behind in work, so things will get done, just not as fast as I would like them to. but rest assured we are doing everything we can to get things back to whatever we consider "normal" around here. We're getting stuff done...

  24. rod soxs are a great way to protect your investments they are cheap insurance and they also keep the rods from getting tangled if you carry a few together already rigged. With sox on I can carry 8 rods in the rod locker and pull then out one at a time. Art
  25. Very nice photo and the subject is pretty cool too. Art
