Hmm.. I had heard a rumor of fuel shortages but this is the first confirmation of it.. maybe I need to get all of my cans filled??....

never park at the bottom of the hill.. even though it's public land you want a vehicle waiting for you when you get back.. check with the camp and he will tell you where to park.. lol.. give respect and you get it back..
-
The provincial Park is not accessible from the road and besides the Onaman River resort there is no access at that area.. the ramp is public but you best check with the owner of the resort where to park as he will have you towed if he doesn't like where you park..

Maybe I'd finally take my wife on a real vacation.. then I would fish... -
Years ago my wife and I were fishing Quinte and there were storms in the distance. I figured I had a bit of time before they arrived but when her hair stood on up and her rod tip buzzed I figured we better high tail it to shore...

The bean crops around my place were showing signs of stress.. this will turn the grass back to green.. everything grows better with rainwater..

It's a shame that the system is so corrupt for tickets.. I really wish there was an alternative way to buy them other than the monopoly we have now.. tickets were unavailable at 10:01 but I could get a pair of the worst seats for $400 US from ticketmasters sister company Stubhub..

Hot Dogs - hey put a camera in a factory! NF

I look out my front window at the largest hot dog factory in the country.. I'd love to tour it but I wouldn't want to be an employee there... seems to be a tough place to work judging by the large turnover rate. -

it helps to flare the bottom of the hole a bit to stop the frost heave... I have heavy clay at my place and everything heaves that isn't 4 feet down.. -
A trailer is kind of like a car, you buy it for your needs and enjoyment... not as an investment. I've thought of buying one myself but I really don't like people nearby when I camp...lol ..having to deal with the sometimes silly rules and restrictions at a park REALLY turned me off of one.. If you are an extrovert I guess its an ok proposition.. I'd rather have a cabin with no one else close...

consumers should always have the right to know what they are eating and drinking.. any time a big corporation is lobbying the government we should ask why and what harm can be done to us when they get what they want.. The rights of the common citizen should take priority over profit, be it big pharma or food additives, GMOs etc..

What about the never wet product that Home Depot sells?? Has anyone tried using it?? -
Yikes!! That's close to where I moose hunt... let's hope it rains soon..

I worked with a guy who was famous for canceling at the last minute.. I would make plans a week or so in advance and he would let me down.. I have a family and he was single so it was tough for me to find time to go fishing.... I vowed the last time it happened that I would never fall for it again so I won't ever fish with him again..

Since Hamilton has become a go to place for Toronto people to buy homes the drivers have become increasingly bad.. always in a hurry.. I have to turn left into my driveway and at least once a week I have some dummy passing me or trying to pass me.. one day I will get hit.. it's a solid yellow line.. just driving the speed limit gets people worked up.. I've driven in Toronto quite a bit and it would seem the same driving attitudes are coming here..

Sounds like a successful trip to me.. thanks for the report.. one day maybe I will get to write an actual fishing report... I just need some time...

temp agencies are offering $14-17 an hour to help with clean up.. 12 hour days for 14 days on.. . Obviously the overtime is where the money will be made.. the agency is the real winner $$$$

Man, I could only imagine what would happen if my HR department did the same thing.. They are downright hostile to deal with at the best of times...
-
In any case you have to keep a level head.. I would consult a lawyer first before confronting HR.. as for your bad luck, I can't help you because I've had more than my share..

Ontario to spend $7-billion on sweeping climate change plan

I'm thinking that this whole idea was a test balloon to Gauge reaction . She and her government are idiots but they want to be elected again.. I would worry more about wood burning being banned than about natural gas.... -
The has to be some kind of connection between crap food and health.. with all of the propaganda out there who do you believe??.. big food companies are after profits and tend to be in the back pocket of government... choose your poison..

Lyme disease is bad but there is also the Powassan virus to worry about..

Poachers are everywhere but until there is a real effort to stop them it will only get worse... weeks before the season starts guys line the dam in Caledonia targeting and catching out of season fish but no one stops them.. Good luck calling the authorities.. no one responds..

I used to fish Erie quite a bit and hated when I had a fish on only to find out it was a sheephead. If you only want to feel a fish tug on the line then just throw a worm out and leave it on the bottom... something will bite

GM, like the other manufacturers make most of their money on service and parts.. a little too rich for my budget so I do my own oil changes. With the new standard of oil required it costs us $80+ for an oil change.. $43 to do it myself and I can afford to let the old oil drain for 15 minutes instead of putting the plug back in as soon as the flow slows down.. I don't have a concern about the warranty as long as I use the right oil and filter..
