  1. They passed the test with my mom... not quite like Grandma's, but in reality...nothing will be the same as hers were
  2. I love that stuff, I think theres some in the freezer still. I did some baking the other day as well, tried my hand at making Luumutortut...the prune tarts. They turned out pretty decent for my first attempt here's a pic of what's left of the 4 dozen we made ryan
  3. It started to finally feel like Christmas for me today. We spent the day doing a bit of baking, i dug up a few of my grandmas recipes (too bad only one was written in english....gotta get my mom to translate the rest for me) My grandmother used to do a ton of baking around this time of year. Finnish gingerbread cookies and prune tarts are 2 of my favourites that she'd make. Today I tried making the prune tarts for the first time.... they turned out pretty decent actually, but they'll never be the same. Gonna try and tackle a few more traditional Finnish dishes to bring over to my mom as a surprise on Christmast eve, she hasnt really had much of that stuff in years.

  7. im pretty sure the plasmas are starting to be phased out. they get real hot, and they consume much more power than an lcd or led tv (apparently alot dont get an energy star rating). that being said...the picture tends to be a bit nicer on them (i find) also the plasmas come with a glass front which is bad for glare if you have any lights/windows that can be reflected in the screen.
  8. i want to do something like that with my older (but not as old as that one) johnson that i have, its a 9.5hp from the mid 60s iirc i just have no idea where to start looking for parts for it. it runs, but it probably needs a water pump. and the lower unit needs to be resealed...needs some paint too any idea where to find parts for something like that???
  9. "no...komisarek is not on the ice...those boos are for the hometeam"
  10. I don't remember the last time I had a telemarketer call me at the house. Seems to work for me.
  11. The first thing i would try is clearing the code and seeing if it drive fine or comes back on. I do a ton of e-tests and occasionally we run into silly problems like this. It happens because the drive wheels spin on the dyno and the other 2 wheels stay stationary on the ground. It makes the ECM think that 2 of the wheel speed sensors are not functioning properly. Usually a drive around the block will fix it (constantly monitored by the ecm) but sometimes it gets stored as a hard fault and has to be cleared. As for shifting funny, with certain codes the ecm will put the vehicle into "limp home mode" operating off of a base set of parameters instead of actual sensor data when one fails. Hopefully this is all it is. We haven't had an e-test cause any damage SOLELY because of the test itself. Ryan
