There’s definitely some very flawed logic with people that are over the age of 40 saying “I’d rather chance it with catching covid than take a potential life saving vaccine” the numbers of people with deadly complications from the vaccine will be openly shared, much like covids lethality rates and I can assure you, the vaccine danger will be far far far astronomically less dangerous than covid. think about that for a second.3 points

I can't agree more. Firstly, there is simply no evidence that you cannot get this virus twice, so anyone who thinks they have already had it, should think twice about not getting the shot. If there is going to any path to normalcy in our lives, folks are going to have to get the shot, otherwise, we will be living in this purgatory for years to come. I also can't wrap my head around the ant- vaxers. Is it your goal to infect and potentially kill off those folks in your life that may have brought you into this world? Or do you simply not believe that there is any risk with this virus? What the heck are you afraid of? I would much rather deal with any potential side-affects for the vax, then I would with the multitude of side effects from the virus... but I get that some folks just don't see it that way. They would be wrong! HH2 points

I would like some time to see what exactly is happening to those that get the vaccine outside of a clinical trial. https://www.cnn.com/2020/11/17/opinions/covid-polio-vaccine-parallels-oshinsky/index.html2 points

I have saved hundreds if not 1000's of dollars because of this lockdown. As I no longer drive by PA like I did before I don't stop each and everytime no matter what town I'm in and buy stuff I don't need or even know what it's for at times. I think I have about 75 ratchet straps, most still in the package. I have never driven by a Princess Auto, ever, including Nova Scotia a few times.2 points

More people see boating , camping , snowmobiling as a way to do something away from the covid crowds Same with homes away from the city. And as for finding more money to buys stuff people priorities changed and so they are willing to put their money into recreation rather then their trips to Florida or Europe which they can’t do anyways2 points

I have been thinking about picking up a small generator to use here as a backup and to use at my property up North. I was surfing on line this morning and saw that PA had a 2000W inverter generator for $499.00. I decided to drive over to Newmarket to have a look. When I couldn't find it I asked one of the staff but they didn't have any on the shelf. That young man did everything he could think of to help me, checked to see if they had any on hold that hadn't been picked up, offered to phone other stores... when he couldn't find one he even checked to see if he could discount a similar but more expensive unit but it was beyond what he could do. Along came the department manager, when he heard what was going on he intervened and was able to do a price override and gave me the more expensive unit at the same price as the one I came for. I have to tell you, I am so impressed with Princess Auto and their customer service, oh and the new generator is everything i hade hoped for and then some. 😊1 point

I am kinda antisocial I do stay to myself. I go shopping as needed maybe every 2-3 weeks. I am only close to family members. I will do what is necessary for my family. Do what is necessary for your comfort level. Stay Safe1 point

That's recovery from the initial symptoms. Of the people I know that have had it (all healthy, relatively young people prior), all speak of a very long-haul to getting back to feeling 'normal', some things change forever (lung capacity), and another guy I know that had it in March just died a fatal heart attack...out of nowhere...dropped on the spot. There is growing evidence the virus has after-effects on the brain, heart, lungs, liver...etc. I'll get the vaccine. As stated, better to risk that than getting the virus...or living with the after-effects. Also...more evidence showing antibodies only last about 6-months in those that get it...so if you've had the virus it certainly doesn't mean you can't get it again.1 point

First Muskie Capital Cup. 35 Anglers. 13 teams. 9 day tournament. Some solid guys fishing, a number of guides and one fella in the tourney even hired a guide. We did GREAT! Two guys I fished with are bigger muskie nuts than I am with many more years and skis under their belts but, I think I was brought on board because the tourney is in the fall and that's only when I muskie fish, and do well at nettin' tanks during that time. Luckily my choices and rod while casting and trolling brought our three biggest fish in the boat, and 3 of the 5 biggest in the tourney. So yeah, we won the tournament and will have to do it again next year.1 point

Market forces have always determined pricing for almost anything, whether it be real estate, vehicles, boats, rv's or simply most consumer goods. Buying a boat in this market is probably not the smartest financial decision you can make, but, supply and demand is what drives a market. Contrary to my better judgement I bought a boat in this market! However, it seems as though aluminum "fishing" boats are the ones are demanding crazy prices, less so glass boats. I sold an aluminum boat a few years ago for what I thought was a "fair" price. Today that boat will command thousands more, (market demand). Covid has essentially put a stop to peoples recreational travel plans causing them to rethink their type of vacation, I know it has ours in retirement. In our first full year of retirement we had lots of travel booked that didn't happen. Instead, we decided to make the best of it and pulled the trailer to many different campgrounds. We figured that maybe we would try a year of seasonal camping in 2021 where we could also dock the boat, good luck! Nothing now available anywhere! I guess that things will re-adjust, maybe, in the next 12-24 months. It may be a scary time if and when it does.1 point

I'm not sure, we think I had it (covid) last year while we were in Myrtle Beach, (had all the symptoms and many of the reported after affects) so I may already have some immunity which is what the vaccine is supposed to do. Would taking a chance on a vaccine that doesn't have any history be a good gamble? I will have to think on that one.1 point

Sitting home, not going to restaurants every other day, not going out the bars, not spending $$ here or there. Not surprised all the toy prices are going up. What type of boat are you looking for? Anything specific?1 point

If I had to do it all over again, I'd seriously look at a Stanley 16 tiller wide model.1 point

I am not as fast as the others, I burn more gas but I have never got stuck. I plow my driveway when not ice fishing. If I went fishing more I would love to have a sled but get the best bang for the buck with my machine1 point

Sinker...If you paint the boat yourself that's one thing. If you paint it for a paying customer and not done properly that's a whole different ball game. I have seen some very unfortunate people asking me to re-do paint jobs that they initially paid big bucks for. Like I said, I try to stay away from painting if I can and source them out to my contacts. I'm not saying not to paint. I'm trying to say be careful do your homework, ensure the shop is reputable and will warranty their work. We have done paint on boats where we have had to repair damage, which meant painting after the repair was done and then replace the decals such as Legend Boats. Yamaha PWC's which have that new light weight NanoexCell body is painted. When we repair the damage to the hull or sides, and we have done a lot lately( because no one else wants to touch them) we have to repaint them. Again, a very expensive job as we use a three part Yamaha OEM paint made by colorite out of the U.S. very durable and specific to ensure adherence to the plastic body and the abuse these wave runners get. We use the same vinyl flooring that Lund Boats use. Can be purchased from any Lund dealer. I'm sure there are others, however we have found it to be durable and nice to work with. A high premium outdoor floor adhesive should suffice however you mentioned aluminum plate flooring. I have never worked with aluminum floors, only wood and fiberglass. So that may be something you want to look into as far as vinyl to aluminum adhesion goes. I do not know anything about that. Wood would be much easier to work with, easier on the feet. Coated properly with fiberglass resin would give you those 20 years again and much cheaper? Also, if the transom is wood, coated and sealed properly, will give you years of no problems. few of pics of different floor and transom repairs may give DIY's some ideas.1 point

Hey Sinker. I got my vinyl flooring at Basspro across the border in Niagara Falls area as I didn’t see it listed on the Canadian site but maybe they have it now or Cabelas. I used adhesive from Home Depot. Spray on for compartment lids and trowel on for the floor. I did it a couple years ago and it seems to be standing up well.1 point

Snowmobiling is on the way out, last I heard from a couple of dealers, ATV's are outselling sleds by a wide margin simply due to almost year round use. Can't put a snowplow on a sled, well maybe Terry can, lol.1 point
