chris.brock Posted April 7, 2017 Report Posted April 7, 2017 Bounces and the first goal are huge. We were strong in the 1st and it could have been easily 2 nothing Leafs after 1 and things would have been different, and we would be singing a different tune.
mikeh Posted April 7, 2017 Report Posted April 7, 2017 would have been nice if they gave the defence man a kneeing penalty on Matthews, also think it should warrant a suspension.
glen Posted April 7, 2017 Report Posted April 7, 2017 Your right. Looks like that's how teams will play the leafs.
Raf Posted April 7, 2017 Report Posted April 7, 2017 only positive for the last two games is that both pitt and columbus have nothing to play for. neither team can move up or down in the standings and change their seed in the playoffs. hopefully they will be resting guys. last two games should be a big wake-up call as to what playoffs will be all about!
AKRISONER Posted April 7, 2017 Report Posted April 7, 2017 i would still rather be in toronto's position than either the islanders or tampa think about the game against columbus sunday....you are on the road in a meaningless game against a team that has absolutely everything on the line... Its not even my own season ticket holders that I am worrying about. I would bench my entire starting roster, there is no way in hell im throwing my guys out against a team that is clawing at you with every last bit of gas that they have.
muskymatt Posted April 7, 2017 Report Posted April 7, 2017 I always love the arrogance and over confidence of Sens fans. LOL Have they ever won a play off series??? Yes we went to the cup finals in 2007. So yes we have won many series.
muskymatt Posted April 7, 2017 Report Posted April 7, 2017 Wow what a limp effort. They don't deserve to be in the playoffs. Worse D in the history of the game. I've being saying that all along!
muskymatt Posted April 7, 2017 Report Posted April 7, 2017 Bummer And Matt clinched Booyah Go Sens Go
muskymatt Posted April 7, 2017 Report Posted April 7, 2017 Look at the bright side laffites. You only have to beat Pittsburgh or Columbus to get a spot
Mike Pike Posted April 7, 2017 Report Posted April 7, 2017 When this season started, I had only HOPED my Leafs would progress to this level and challenge for a playoff spot! What a ride. Go Leafs!!!!!!!!!
grimsbylander Posted April 7, 2017 Report Posted April 7, 2017 Wow what a limp effort. They don't deserve to be in the playoffs. Worse D in the history of the game.
DRIFTER_016 Posted April 7, 2017 Author Report Posted April 7, 2017 I was hoping they would make it to the top of the bottom third of the league!!! This is way better than expected whatever happens between now and the end of the regular season.
manitoubass2 Posted April 7, 2017 Report Posted April 7, 2017 Wow what a limp effort. They don't deserve to be in the playoffs. Worse D in the history of the game. Jeebus. Did you ever watch the nordiques? Leafs aren't even close to the worst d ever

grimsbylander Posted April 7, 2017 Report Posted April 7, 2017 Jeebus. Did you ever watch the nordiques? Leafs aren't even close to the worst d ever Oh not just in the current NHL, noooooo....in the history of the game! This includes my son's 1993 peewee house league team too! LOL
Acountdeleted Posted April 7, 2017 Report Posted April 7, 2017 http://editorinleaf.com/2017/02/07/maple-leafs-crumbling-defense/ http://www.torontosun.com/2017/02/05/defence-continues-to-be-maple-leafs-weak-spot Pretty sure we have been saying this all year. Course when both games are 4-1 it's a team effort. Can expect even the best D and goalie to pitch a shutout every night. Need that high powered offense to kick it up one more time.
jimmer Posted April 7, 2017 Report Posted April 7, 2017 Here I was hoping for a battle of Ontario. :-(
Oggie Posted April 7, 2017 Report Posted April 7, 2017 Hey they're kids guys! they've never seen playoff hockey at this level. I'm OK with making or not making the playoffs as long as they realize it's time to listen to the strength and nutrition coaches this summer. I just hope Marner or Matthews don't get hurt in the final games. This is whole new level of physical these guys have never seen before. Yeah time to address the D on this team. Not sure what they see in Zitsev. I bet Rielly was glad to get away from him so his stats could improve. Very skilled player but too small and too light.
jimmer Posted April 7, 2017 Report Posted April 7, 2017 Really, who expected them to compete for a play off spot this year. It would be nice for them to make it, but definitely not the end of the world if they don't. Like I said, I was hoping for the Battle of Ontario. It would make for good bantering with Matt. LOL
Acountdeleted Posted April 8, 2017 Report Posted April 8, 2017 Lightning are up 3-1 on the Canadians. This is not looking good.
DRIFTER_016 Posted April 8, 2017 Author Report Posted April 8, 2017 (edited) Lightning are up 3-1 on the Canadians. This is not looking good. 3-2 now. DOH!!!! 4-2 now. Edited April 8, 2017 by DRIFTER_016
DRIFTER_016 Posted April 8, 2017 Author Report Posted April 8, 2017 That JVR goal was insane!!!! Knocking it out of mid air and staying onside was
