I'mHooked Posted August 16, 2011 Report Posted August 16, 2011 Circle of life! Poor ducky...at least momma has a few others to keep her occupied. She won't even miss it by the end of the day!
Live2fish85 Posted August 16, 2011 Report Posted August 16, 2011 That was cool. Talk about having the camera in the right place at the right time.
mercman Posted August 16, 2011 Report Posted August 16, 2011 Thats Cool . I wont show it to the wife though. She even gets emotional when i put a worm on her hook

Musky or Specks Posted August 16, 2011 Report Posted August 16, 2011 baby ducks work well for muskie and pike but I have been having so much luck with these guys that I made a holding spot for them on my boat Reminds me of that old joke... A musky fisherman is casting along a shoreline when a women runs yelling and screaming out onto her dock. " My Dog!!! My Dog!!! A giant musky just attacked and ate my little dog!!!" The musky guy looks at her ,pauses, looks at his tackle box, "What colour was your dog?"
Terry Posted August 16, 2011 Report Posted August 16, 2011 small dogs are ok but I find I have to put a stinger hook on their tails to get a good hook set often they would swallow the hook, so I quit using dog just too hard on muskie and we don't want P3TA jumping all over us for hurting fish

Besides, cats come with thier own hooks built in
GBW Posted August 16, 2011 Report Posted August 16, 2011 hummm, I'm going to have to try fishing with a few rubber duckies this weekend then...
spincast Posted August 16, 2011 Report Posted August 16, 2011 watched snapping turtle do that once to a larger duck - took a lot longer.
ccmtcanada Posted August 17, 2011 Report Posted August 17, 2011 WOW! I've heard of this happening, but never saw it before. I second NOT showing this to my daughter!!!
limeyangler Posted August 17, 2011 Report Posted August 17, 2011 awesome...better not let my wife see that though.
mistaredone Posted August 17, 2011 Report Posted August 17, 2011 Man!! I have always wanted to see that.
hammercarp Posted August 18, 2011 Report Posted August 18, 2011 I guess that's why mallards have so many young. Like McDonalds ( over 1 billion served ) everything eats them.
express168 Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 That was interesting, I once saw a seagull get hit by something on the surface while fishing Nippissing. Never saw the fish but assumed it was a musky, good sized bite off the side of the bird.
Billy Bob Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 live ones do have more action but in a pinch the frozen ones work OK I thought you were just catfishing...
Lokka Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 The fresh water sharks of our lakes.. wow and I'm on board with not showing that to the wife. I wonder if those marshmellow ducks will work.
