Spiel Posted June 27, 2015 Report Posted June 27, 2015 Tonight in the Hammer with a few buddies. Front and center for Hugh Cornwell. Gonna be a blast!
Joeytier Posted June 28, 2015 Report Posted June 28, 2015 Lots of great Americana revival groups popping up over the last few years, but these two take the cake by a country mile. Absolutely incredible songwriting going on here!
Dave Bailey Posted June 28, 2015 Report Posted June 28, 2015 Summer storm outside, lots of thunder, only one thing comes to mind: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2VY33VXnrQ
Spiel Posted June 28, 2015 Report Posted June 28, 2015 Hugh and company played a great version of this song last night. A mere couple of feet away from the stage, it was loud and clear, totally awesome! A few pictures of the evening courtesy of my daughter who hung out for the evening with her Dad.
misfish Posted June 28, 2015 Report Posted June 28, 2015 Last shot was a photo for the AGES. LOL Nice Chris.
RDR Posted June 28, 2015 Report Posted June 28, 2015 (edited) Another great show by Hugh He always has time for his fans after the show On a very sad note, Chris Squire the bassist for Yes passed today................ Saw them play many times and the man was a "Giant" Edited June 28, 2015 by RDR
Spiel Posted June 28, 2015 Report Posted June 28, 2015 Another great show by Hugh He always has time for his fans after the show On a very sad note, Chris Squire the bassist for Yes passed today................ Oh man I hadn't heard. Totally blows! Truly saddened. Yes was my first ever concert and Chris had quite a stage presence then and of course quite recently when you and I saw him here in Hamilton. RIP Mr Squire
dave524 Posted June 28, 2015 Report Posted June 28, 2015 Yeah , wife just mentioned the passing of Squire a few minutes ago, saw them once at some rink on Carleton St. about 72/73, great show.
Spiel Posted June 28, 2015 Report Posted June 28, 2015 Some great footage of a young Chris in this vid. https://www.youtube.com/embed/fQ-ktGaWYlg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen>

Spiel Posted July 3, 2015 Report Posted July 3, 2015 Watching Hugh play "No more Heroes" the other night was awesome, the next day it reminded me of Bowies "Heroes." Both great tunes from the past. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/LXe8YyL2bj0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/pU9JAvZGaIg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

dave524 Posted July 9, 2015 Report Posted July 9, 2015 (edited) Would someone yank this stupid thread?! We need more posts, falling way behind the stoopid hockey thread, this is great, first went upstairs at the Coq d'Or to the Hawksnest in 69, borrowed ID, drinking age was 21 then. Had a Grice and Young float reel called a Coq d'Or just to keep it fishing orientated. edit: this is a good read for the youngun's who don't know the Hawk or the history http://noisey.vice.com/en_ca/read/historic-venue-spotlight-le-coq-dor Edited July 9, 2015 by dave524
