BITEME Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 Well for me this winter to continue not smoking to learn how to play the axe better and to rebuild the Marshall JCM 900.(want my balls to vibrate) Plus various honey doo"s that I will post through out the winter not big on hard water fishing so got some time to play and to do a step by step(Pics) water pump change out for all the good folks on OFC and waiting for my KILT Peter

Well in my post surgery boredom I decided to break out the fly tying gear after what is likely a 20 year hiatus. I haven't tied to many and I'm definitely a little rusty! Fingers are not as nimble as they once were and my failing eyesight is clearly apparent, to me at least. I've also been playing with new techniques and materials, like bead head jigs. Here's a few from the past couple of weeks. This one just came together about half an hour ago....

Art Well I've never made anything bigger than trout flies Art but I'd be happy to try for you considering all you've done for me. The fundamentals would be the same just have to up scale them a bit, okay a lot. How would you plan on fishing them? While I'm here this one just came out of the vise about 20 minutes ago. Been playing with some new material for the legs.

I know, cramped work area in my basement! I am working on this all in 2009 till present. It is an endless project and always on the go, especially during off season. This winter I want to install a wide rear tire (tranny and swing arm mods) before: during: now: But who has the time when we are all out fishing???!!! Hahaha! Disco Disco, are those DT- era Yammies? Takes me back!
