Terry Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 it's that time of year again to take a few minutes of your time to remember all the veterans and our young mean and women overseas right now offering their lives for our freedom
Mike the Pike Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 That was very nice Terry thanks for posting. Wish all our boys could come home right now. MTP

And the kicker 6% said DON"T CARE!!! Who are these 6% and what the hell are they thinking!!Sad...
lew Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 Thanks Terry It's sad that some don't get it, but fortunate that most do. We owe so much to so many.
John Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 Thanks Terry. I share a few silent moments each Remembrance Day with a close friend who lost his Dad in WW2. We DO owe so much to so many....
MCTFisher9120 Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 I have had that video in the bookmarks on You Tube, I recall somebody, yourself perhaps posted it on here before. Great song and lyrics capturing the true importance of Remembrance Day Thanks for the reminder, MTBF
douG Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 That has been a favorite of mine for years, Terry. Thanks for posting that one again.
carp-starter Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 (edited) it's that time of year again to take a few minutes of your time to remember all the veterans and our young mean and women overseas right now offering their lives for our freedom Thank you Terry. I thank the young men and women who are overseas right now. They are offering the their lives for us. For this, I thank them and will always think about them. I will never forget. I also think about the veterans - especially WW2. If they were not across the pond fighting for our freedom, I might not be here right now typing this post. I was born there at that time. Thank you. I will never forget. carp-starter Edited November 8, 2009 by carp-starter
crappieperchhunter Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 Thx Terry. That pretty much sums it up. God bless them all.
Danubian Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 Who are these 6% and what the hell are they thinking!!Sad... Perhaps for most of them the two World Wars were just 2 little paragraphs in some odd history textbook, that they didn't read anyway. One comes to wonder how is this much different than the fact that more and more often the Christmas is being replaced by the "Winter Holidays"? Sad or not, it's a sure sign of our times...
irishfield Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 (edited) Thanks Terry.... Means a lot in our family and while clearing stuff from Mom's farm house yesterday, with my Brother (Gulf War Vet), we found our Father's platoon picture and his service medal from WWII. Neither of which I'd ever seen... Edited November 9, 2009 by irishfield
bubbles Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 Thanks Terry It's sad that some don't get it, but fortunate that most do. We owe so much to so many. I could not have said it better. Teach a kid why it is important this week!
holdfast Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 Some moving songs, Tomorrow I will be speaking to the school kids and parents during the villages ceremony as Weds is a stat Holiday in this great province. I think it should be all across Canada at least till noon. Personally, I cant see myself shopping at 11 o'clockish on Remembrance Day
John Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 (edited) A well deserved bump. I also like this one very much, it's very current. Edited November 10, 2009 by John

Tom McCutcheon Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 Bumped up once more. Very fitting Terry and the first time I have seen this video. I will remember the sacrifices that the men and women of the armed forces make each day. Then and now. I write this just before heading down town for our own services in Peterborough to remember the dead. Respectfully Tom.
