mbac31 Posted August 17, 2008 Report Posted August 17, 2008 Peroxide Baby Tylenol for smaller kids Alcohol wipes
douG Posted August 17, 2008 Report Posted August 17, 2008 Take some Benadryl for those weird allergic reactions, even good for the regular ones like poison ivy. Some cortisone cream can be handy too. I also take baby wipes for the outhouse, helps to keep you minty fresh.
fishing n autograph Posted August 17, 2008 Report Posted August 17, 2008 immodium for those emergency situations!
Greencoachdog Posted August 17, 2008 Report Posted August 17, 2008 This will probably come in handy at one time or another: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s...__SearchResults I know I've wished I'd had one before!
Woodsman Posted August 17, 2008 Report Posted August 17, 2008 Cool Jel - For minor burns. ASA (aka Aspirin) - For chest pain related to heart problems. Sunblock - minimum 30 SBF.

Rich Posted August 18, 2008 Report Posted August 18, 2008 Jack Daniel's. That sums up my entire first aid kit!
Dozer Posted August 18, 2008 Author Report Posted August 18, 2008 Okay, thanks for the input everyone. I'm so stoked, going up to the French River for 3 days for a quick canoe trip
douG Posted August 18, 2008 Report Posted August 18, 2008 Have a great trip, Dozer, and hope you don't have to crack open that first aid kit!
wallyboss Posted August 18, 2008 Report Posted August 18, 2008 Most places tghat sell safety supplies will carry some Burn gel. (like somebody else mentioned) especially if camping. Some are good to 2nd degree burns. cause toothpaste or butter just doesn't cut it.
Headhunter Posted August 18, 2008 Report Posted August 18, 2008 Learned this first hand last week, although not a first aid thing, bring an extra can opener! Oh my, talk about frustrating, trying to open a can of food and having an opener that gave up the farm years ago can get pretty annoying! HH
Pinch Posted August 18, 2008 Report Posted August 18, 2008 There's this stuff for diaper rash called Sudocrem. It is awesome for all sorts of cuts, burns, scratches, grazes etc. Ive got 4 kids and that stuff is a god send. Here's a link Sudocrem
sturgman Posted August 18, 2008 Report Posted August 18, 2008 A Pharmacist if you add anymore. My sentiments exactly!! If you are careful enough while out in the bush, you shouldnt need too much other than Jack Daniels as others have mentioned..
Roy Posted August 18, 2008 Report Posted August 18, 2008 I was JUST about to post about Crazy Glue! It's the best stuff to use in very cold weather when your hands and fingers have a tendency to split and crack.
