1. Perch, walters, whities, crappy..for a fish fry....actually any fresh white meat fish battered and fried.

2. Smoked anything from the salmanoid family......although I never keep these, so it's from buddies.

3. Sushi grade fish of just about anything, if you can find it.....tuna and salmon being the favourites.

PS..I haven't met a fresh shellfish with butter that isn't the bomb.

Well, it has to be fresh, small for the species and caught by myself or a friend.

Bass, perch pike, walleye, crappie. If I can eat them without too much fear of bones I do not discriminate. I love em all.

fried with butter or bread crumbs

sunfish are certainly on my list for 2009.

Warm/Cool Water Species

Crappie

Perch

Walleye

Smallmouth

Pike

Cold Water Species

Brookies

Splake

lakers

Rainbows

Atlantic's

I love pretty much all fish and i have a really hard time mixing those 2 lists into just one. Comparing Crappie and Brookies for example are 2 very different fish in my books, they dont compare, so how can you choose one over the other? Easy....2 lists lol then they can BOTH be #1

I cook all the fish at this place, and I usually coat with flour and breadcrumbs and fry in butter/olive oil. Sometimes I will make a sauce with lemon and dill and cover with it after the turn, about 5 minutes before serving. Or, a dollop of mango curry sauce - great on salmon.

Mackerel fillets, fried crispy and served with a green tomato chow is fabulous, right near the top of my list.
