Well Gerritt, this was the report I was looking forward to and it did not disappoint. So glad you two had a great time, no doubt you both needed it... I hope you can repeat it over and over again... it is great to see you both happy together... Thanks for this G! HH

No Bill, I certianly am not forgetting he played well last year and for some of the year before as well... my biggest concern re Reimer is the same cocern I had a year ago... he hasn't even played 1/2 a season and the Leafs are putting him in this position? Talk about burn out the kid... HH
-
Well Gerritt, I can't answer your question at all, but I gotta say how pleased I am that you and your son got to spend that quality time together... I hope you get to do it again often and soon! HH

I really hate to say this, but the Leafs will not make the playoffs again in 12/13... they need a lot more than what they got so far, to improve enough to make the playoffs... what we have here are new faces that will forget everything they knew, as soon as they pull on that jersey... I wish I was wrong, but after so many years of watching them loose, I simply don't see enough here, now, to warrant any kind of change from the past. And this said by a life long Leaf fan... HH

If your a Racer X fan or a fan of the like, you might like this! Yah, these boys can play a bit! LOL HH -
It a mockery of a travesty... I would think that businesses in the area would be outraged at this... people are free to choose where they rent their week or two cottage, every summer. With the prices of cottage rental as well as fuel etc... a further tax may well drive a percentage of business to other areas... the whole thing makes me wanna... HH

What gets me is this... we Canadians are already some of the most taxed peoples on the planet. We have mostly accepted this, believing that with those high taxes, we are receiving services from our government. One must only look south of the boarder to see charges for services that we "already get for free" added to an individuals tax burden (a significantly lower initial tax burden, I know!). If we are to become Americanized (and I don't mean that in any way derogatory to our friends to the south), then I DEMAND that my tax base be lowered, to reflect upon my added tax, for services. Period! Getting value for our tax dollars is by far, the biggest steaming pile we have to deal with. It has become a joke, looking at the cost of doing anything in the public realm. One only has to look at the recent Toronto Star expo regarding costs associated with school maintenance at the TDSB. $147.00 to install a pencil sharpener...four screws installed out of the five the unit requires... and two guys to do it!!!! I don't know about you guys, but I can picture the thieves who will get the tenders to do the fixes on the Trent, already calling their stock brokers letting them know they just won the lottery. ACCOUNTABILITY!!!!!!!!!!! We need more of that, then we need new taxes... kinda sounds like the whole 407 debacle to me! HH

My guess Chris... they wanted some of that brisket you had on the smoker... HH

If I heard the news correctly, the property is fenced, but there is no gate at the house to stop anyone from getting in the backyard. That was pointed out by the individual who tried to revive the child before the cops and EMS arrived. Yes, it is law that you must have a fence around any pool or pond... I have one on my property to protect morons from getting in my pool and drowning while I'm away or sleeping. I won't attach blame to this tragedy... it seems there's enough of that already... HH

That's one fantastic report!!! I could watch that all day! LOL Thanks for posting... HH -
That 15 minute two lane area will be gone soon as well as they are completing the bypass this summer... I'm glad they got around to doing this... much safer for all involved and frankly, most of the greasy spoons on the side of the highway were just that, greasy spoon that charged double the true value of the meal you were getting... can't say I miss slowing down for all those small towns... if I'm on the highway, it's because I am intending to get somewhere, in a timely manner... I don't need to know about some towns "Summer Days" event. That said, should I want to take in all that "culture, I can still choose to drive up the old highway and enjoy the sights. Gotta admitt that I much prefer to drive to North Bay in under 4 hours vs the 6 plus it could take during a long weekend. HH

YUP! BTW... you did that without using one period... impressive! HH

Well, I have one, but given that it only requires a charge up twice a year, I simply don't use it much... Life is much easier when you are not available all the time. HH ps... I called Bell to set up a business line here at the house as I have started working from home... they wanted: -$140.00 to run a separate line to the house -they wanted another $140.00 to put a jack in the room -they wanted $67.00per month for the line So, in total, over $350, not including tax and I haven't made a phone call yet. They said that was the cost. I called Rogers... $40.00/month, no intallation fees. Got a call from Bell a few weeks later... told them to stuff it!

According to the news at noon, it's going before committee tonight... given that Toronto Harbour is Federal, I thnk, does the city have any legal right to do this? And I gotta agree with Raf on this one... HH

SWEET!!!! Thanks for posting the pic... HH

Since I don't have my own boat and obviously no riggers, I used snap weights, hooked up about 50 ft behind my big bottomed Williams... I aint revolutionary, but it worked... HH

I believe that I am inline for a% of that app... heck, I'm the the Q/A UAT on that thing! Actually, filming the UAT might prove to be worth a chuckle! "There's no business, like show business..." Can't help but think of Ethel Merman when ever I see Will now! LMAO HH

I bought one this spring from Costco... haven't actually been in the rain with it yet, but it seems like a good deal. HH

Just remember Mike, you are now beginning the 3 month probation period with your new employer... most companies will not give you credit for time served while being employed by a third party. Keep yer head down, continue to work to the level they have seen and now expect and good luck to you; congrats to your family. HH

Watch out for the spikey one! I don't know Bernie... either find a differnet game to play after ten or find some smarter friends! HH
