  1. Just wanted to say many thanks to Fishnsled and Phil for coming out on Saturday night... it was a good time! The bar wants us back and we were scouted by another bar and asked to play! This "hobby" is beginning to take on a life of it's own! Thanks again guys... HH
  2. That's pretty cool Bernie! Hopefully it'll still be around in a couple of weeks... I believe that we are stopping by the shop on the way up. Uhmm... where would they get the water for the steam? HH
  3. The cheques in the mail for both you guys! I believe that 10% is about the right rate for such quality advertising... might be enough to get a beer! Or, alternatively, you two could share one! Thanks again guys! HH
  4. Thanks Will! If our last gig is any indication of what's to come, it should be a pretty good time! We're all aout the "chicks and dough"! LOL Band hits "the stage" at 9:30... HH
  5. I voted for the Chinese food restaurant! Done! HH
  6. Probably not as the folks who are against such things probably weren't gonna vote for him anyway... I doubt that the decision was made off the cuff... HH
  7. Excellent response Lota... I couldn't agree with you more! HH
  8. Exactly John... I beleive that police presence on the highway has a much bigger foot print on people, than standing on an off ramp. A cruiser gets attention and that could mean that the knuckle head doing, 140 weaving in and out of traffic will take notice and change their ways. Admittedly, if only for a short time. HH
  9. Yah Bill, I would... I would rather they patrol the highway looking for folks who are driving poorly, then wasting resouces catching folks at on ramps and off ramps... HH
  10. So we are essentialy chasing our tail... two things come to mind... Can the resources close to our major centers sustain these numbers of catches? Given the number of new arrivals annually, let's say within the GTA, we will never see an end to this kind of thing. Sure 2nd and 3rd generation folks start to see the light, but new arrivals will simply follow their traditions... the fish are gonna take a beating. The only solution to this problem I can see is enforcement, enforcement enforcement... it only really hits home when it hits the wallet. HH
  11. Got off the 401 at Brock in Pickering the other day and there was a cop waiting on the off ramp, no disguise, watching for people on their phone while driving. There was another one on the other side of the 401 checking people as they were heading onto the 401. I have to agree with others who have said this is simply a tax grab. No, I do not like having some numb skull in front of me texting away, but I would rather see the authorities catch someone for wreckless/bad driving while on the phone, than someone simply on the phone... HH
  12. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! HH
  13. Happy B-Day you ole bugger! HH
  14. Some may argue about the "get wet" part. And I'll bump up the earlier response... gloves are for girls.Reminds me of a guy that was up for one of our Bernie gtg... dude refused to go fishing in the morning until he had his shower! And, he wore gloves when putting a worm on his jig! HH
  15. That would have been the last place I would have thought of for Grayling... really cool! Thanks for taking us along... HH
  16. What's to stop this guy from strolling into a CTC somewhere, filling out an application for a fishing liscense under another name and heading out to the lake? Does the MNR have more detailed info on us that could prevent this? Do they require other I.D. when they are writing someone up? (I have never been written up so I have no clue) HH
  17. You could hire "The Giesler Island Band" LMAO! The logistics may be difficult and the required booze to get them to play a song all the way through might add up as well, but a finer group of fishin muscians you'll not find! HH
  18. Two words... Scarlet Johansson!!!!!!!! Humina humina humina!!! HH
  19. Last year's earthquake and tsunami have really messed up a lot of Japanese companies. The supply chain in turn takes a beating, with a long trickle down effect thoughout many industries. Not too much unlike the debris now washing up on shore, on our west coast. HH
  20. Cool Peter! I was considering getting a tat the read 667... It's the neighbour of the beast! LOL HH
  21. "Hillary" is lookin great BB! HH
  22. Positive thoughts heading your way bud... stay strong. HH
  23. Use a stick... a snapper will not let go of a stick, if you are holding it. Should you be unfortunate enough to hook a snapper, grab a stick and wave it in front of the turtle. It will grab and hold onto the stick. You can now remove the hook (assuming it not in it's mouth!)but never let go of the stick, until you have the hook out. HH
  24. Great pics guys! (Better be good pics from you guys!) Those browns look killer! Just so yah know, never get in the way of FnS when there's a foot pedal involved! HH
