Favourite wrestler of all time-NF
Headhunter replied to LostAnotherOne's topic in General Discussion
Ouch Gerritt! Can't say I have seen any of it since Rowdy Roddy Piper retired. Always good for a laugh! HH -
I've bought and sold from both Kijiji and Craig's List. All guitars and or amplifiers. I have a fair amount of knowledge on value of such things and I do look every day for folks unloading stuff all the while not really knowing what they have. So far, I have bought; -Marshall bass amp valued at $3200.00 for $1000. -$3,500 bass guitar for $600. I've sold a bass on Kijiji for $400 more than I paid for it brand spanking new! (That sale has funded many other purchases since!) When selling musical instruments, the need to try out everything is quite real. All my transaction have taken place in my living room. That said, I always spend time on the phone with these folks before providing my address. If I get even the slightest inclining that something isn't right, I'm done with them. So far, I have had great luck/success... but would probably have even better luck, if I could talk myself into selling stuff instead of buying all the time! Misinformed sellers are probably the most difficult for me. The article may be worth X amount to the seller, but that doesn't necessarily make the item that value! HH

The government recently released up till now, unpublished cell numbers. Expect telemarketers to be calling you cell form now on. Probably best to assign your cell number to the no call list. HH

Thin Waterproof Gloves - Existence unknown
Headhunter replied to AKRISONER's topic in General Discussion
Op, sounds to me like you have circulation problems in your hands. I would suggest that before you address your glove problem, you consider looking into your circulation issue. Have you tried using a squeeze ball? Maybe consider taking up an instrument (guitar/piano) to help increase your circulation. If you are starting you trip with ice cold hands, I can't see how well gloves are going to help, given your starting point. HH -
Clark! Is that you Clark?! HH

Joey, if you are a relatively long time Rogers customer, I suggest you call them when you have some time and ask to speak to the Customer Retention department. I had words with them recently regarding service issues and was sent to that department. Got my cell plan lowered, my cable plan lowered, my internet capacity/speed upped and fee lowered and the $2.00 fee for billing eliminated. The war between Rogers and Bell for customers has really put the customer in the driver seat, if you talk to the correct people. HH

Well, this thread has inspired me to rustle up some Chicken Paprikash for dinner tonight! Gonna add some island flavor by using coconut milk instead of chicken stock! HH
-
Just so yah know, water only intensifies the effect of heat, so don't use it to stop the burn! If you are suffering from too much heat, milk is the answer! HH
-
Well, being of Hungarian and German background, I have a few. -Paprikash- chicken or beef -home made strudel -Letcho (sp) - fried onions, bell peppers with fried chicken liver, then add scrabbled eggs I to, worked downtown for a number of years. I have grown to love; -goat roti -Oxtails -BBQ duck and pork and roast pork Man, I could go on and on! (The other day, I decided to try my hand at Rouladen for the first time... I was told in no uncertain terms, it's a keeper!) HH

Real happy for yah Bernie! Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy! HH

Walleye chop! HH -
Agreed Cliff, just be certain that the power bar you are using is not a cheapo dollar store version. They don't do squat. You have to pay some bucks to get a good one. HH
-
Just make sure that you un-plug that TV when not in use, once repaired. I would bet that the power supply bit the dust as a result of power spikes, during power outages. HH
-
I haven't had one in years. I know that folks say that you can't get sick from the shot, but that was not my experience. Maybe is was simply a coincidence, but the last time I got one, I was as sick as I had ever been. Was it the shot or was I already fighting it and didn't know it at the time of the shot? Who knows! All I do know is that I haven't been that sick since and I don't get the shot. HH

Probably just drop the batter on the floor Wayne! HH

I get the "Thank you for choosing West Jet" call twice a week. I haven't used West Jet. Cliff, the best we can do for those who are not up on this nonsense is to talk to them as best we can. Registering them on the "no call" list "could help", but likely not. HH
-
I got that call a while ago. The lady on the line was down right belligerent with me! (She don't know me very well!) She ended up hanging up on me! LOL HH

Looking for Recommendation for Toyota Highlander Service
Headhunter replied to FLEX ROD's topic in General Discussion
The worst part of the job, outside of the price tag, is that it's quite likely that you will be getting rattles in the dash once re-installed. They are never the same again. Good luck to you... HH -
Oh yah Wayne, get off the internet and get that danged plow on the tractor... I have a feeling you are going to need it sooner than later! HH

lol HH

Hire FishnSled to teach you how to back up! Seriously, if you have ever seen him back his boat up his driveway, you would be amazed! I bet there is no more than a foot of space on either side of the boat... and it's up hill and in the colder months icey. Yah, dudes my hero when it comes to backing up a trailer and no he can't see his boat in the rear view! HH

Shot in the dark, but have a look at the back of the unit to make sure all the vents/fans are clear of dust. Most likely it's a power supply issue though as the TV is going into protect mode by turning off. Power surges from lightning storms and power outages (power going off and on) really do a number on them, as long is the TV is plugged in. It doesn't matter whether they are on or not. HH

Sad news... he treated myself and my wife well when we stayed there a dozen years ago. HH
