If Axl really wanted to shake the world, he should have done this! Released the album under a different name, same album, different name. Why, good question! The mystique behind this 17 year odyssey would have been hard for any band to over come. Had he released this album under a different name, the hype would have been lowered and the intrigue regarding Chinese Democracy would have helped to maintain the band's image and they would still have an album available to the public! BTW - did you hear the GnR are suing Doctor Pepper! The good folks at Dr. Pepper promised to give everyone in the States a free Dr. Pepper if GnR released Chinese Democracy. They are apparently reneging on their promise. GnR are "asking" them to stay true to their word! HH

My only concern with the wind farms in general is the low frequencies they emit. There have been numerous studies that have concluded that the low frequencies they emit, into the ground and surrounding area can be harmful to humans. That is why they have a standing requirement of no less than one kilometer away from any residence or human occupied building. As we all know, water is an excellent conductor of vibration, so, my thinking is that those wind farms may actually cause dead zones in the lake. Frankly, I don't care about those who claim that their view of the lake will be diminished, but I do have to wonder if we have tested these machines against their effect on the environment. (I do have some insight as one of the leading wind farm companies was a client of mine. I spoke many times with their engineers and this is the info they have passed along to me!) HH

IMHO and from what I've heard, extremely over produced, to the point I have a hard time listening to it as it simply does not sound "real" to me! Someone got a little over eager with the Pro-Tools I'd say. Best rock album in the last decade! Sorry can't agree! HH

If one takes an objective look at the physical dimensions of The Bay of Quinte, an argument could be made that it looks like and to some degree acts like, the colon on the Kawartha's! That in it's self should tell ya something!!!! HH

Be sure to leave the bottom of the unit open as it will help to stop condensation and requisite decomposition of the unit. Let it breathe man! HH

Well, all I can say is Mom raised a tall boy, not a bright one! I wish I had a buck for every time I called myself stupid, standing at the Bath launch, wondering if I had completely mangled my strumming finger!!!!LOL BnB, you got a good kid there, he stood his ground in what I would call a "tough truck" ride home! What method you you use to prevent rod tip icing?
Headhunter replied to wuchikubo's topic in General Discussion
I know I'm opening myself up on this one, but I generally just do as Lew, break it off by hand or shove the rod tip in my mouth and melt it away! That's a really fun thing to do when yer fishing Quinte in minus 10 temps, with a bog old sock on the end of the line!!!! Shoot away!LOL HH -
How to keep my feet warm in below zero temps ?
Headhunter replied to jdmls's topic in General Discussion
Be sure to remove the insoles of your boots EVERY TIME you complete a trip. It's amazing how much condensation accumulates in yer boats after only a few hours waring them. I always take out my insoles after every outing... a dry foot has a much better chance of staying warm, then a foot swimming in condensation. HH -
Must resist bashing Okuma..... but I can't!!!!! I have two Convectors that get very little use and I can hardly wait until I convince my wallet to come out of my pants to replace both with Diawa Sealines! Junk! HH

I won't hazard any advice Peter, but I do respect the way you are intending to handle what must be a very difficult situation. I expect others will maintain a sense of decorum here. HH

Garlic is my birthstone! I put it on Froot Loops! A little red wine in the marinade will help ya out as well You need some kind of acid to help break down the large fibers. Also, try punching the crap out of the steaks while they are marinading in the bag... poor man's tenderizer! Also, consider orange juice/rinds in yer next batch! Some folks use soy sauce instead of salt! Gotta go... feeling garlic deprived... must eat gyros!!!!!!! HH

Here's my problem with the bail outs... how can you justify this scenario? A workin guy is making say $15/hr, has a job, works hard every day. Now, the government wants his tax dollars to bail out a bunch of folks who are used to making $75.00/hr, because they got greedy and made many mistakes? Looking a few years down the road, this working guy gets a letter saying they are closing the mills, he's gonna be out of work. Who contributed to this decision? The dude who got the bail out dough!!!!! Talk about a kick in the nuts with a frozen mukaluk! HH
