As mentioned, it's still too early for the biggins! You would be fishing residential fish at this time of year... weed lines near deep water, blades with meat. You may find some of the biggins beginning to stage near "The Gap" where Adolphus opens up to Lake O. Fishing shorelines on the lake side might find you some fish. Good luck and yes we like reports and pics!!! HH

is it just me or does anyone else find this whole thing pretty amusing? Come on, really, how can anyone run a tournament like that and not be in the know? If it's getting bad press state side, I hope that the negligent parties and the focus of the wrath!!! Still chuckling to myself! HH

Ok... you guys asked for it! The above players are all great players, Slow Hand for his style, Glimour for his sound, Eddie for bringing Holdsworth to the masses, Knopler for getting his chicks for free, but if you really like guitar players, you will be hard pressed to find two better, than these two! Every time I hear this song (incredible album by the way) I feel like it's time to take up the drums! Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7ypeZ6R-t0 HH -
i understand that "Tool" will be covering that tune on their next album! HH

My intention is not to hijack this thread, but I just can't help myself... bought a new bass guitar on the weekend and I haven't been able to put it down since! Here's a link to the shop's web site where he has posted pics of the bass hanging in his shop! It seems to play itself! Has incredible variance of tone and as you can see, it's a looker!!!!! Just had to show off a bit! http://www.clubbass.ca/instock/LG3000.html HH -
COLD FX!!!!!!!!! It works for some, it doesn't work for others! For me, it is the only thing I take and it works! Expensive, but as you're wallowing in your own personal misery, $30.00 doesn't seem like a lot of money to pay... does it!? HH

The Blue water is approximately 10 miles out and beyond. Bows are caught on Riggers, dipsey's, long lined steel, planner boards, lead core... I could go on! Just a matter of getting the bait to the right depth! HH

Also, you may want to consider picking up a set of Off Shore Snap weights. HH

Reels - Diawa Sealine reels... price drop recently make them competitive price wise to the Okuma and they are IMHO 10 X the reel that the Okuma is! Rods: Shimano TDR 8-9 ft HEAVY action - under $50.00 and can be found for less than $30.00 when on sale. Also a good alternative rod - Diawa Heartland -You have to decide whether you want to run a mast system or inline planner boards... there are varying opinions on which is best -Some use no-stretch line on their board rods, with a floro leader, I personally run mono. - a lead core rod is a really good weapon to have -if your running dipsey's, use braid. -Scotty has a new rod holder out this year and it's composite construction makes it even strong then their previous holders... many prefer Salty's as they don't require drilling into yer boat! There are many more expensive reels and rods available to you, but I can't justify spending that money when you can get good quality equipment that will do the same job, for far less! HH PS... buy the Diawa Sealine 47LC!

Way to go Beats! You've put in your time and are now reaping the rewards! Congrats man! I don't know where you were on the river and I don't wanna know! But I will say that you have earned your success! Congrats! HH

Well Roger, I must admit that I am not at all surprised by this post... I've said it many times, you are the reason I go to BPS! You've just shown us all that I have been right the whole time! Kudos to you, the Daves and BPS for taking the time to help make a family happy. I understand some of the challenges the family faces as my son is also diagnosed as being "high function" autistic. It's hard work, but the rewards although different from most parents milestones in their kids lives are 2nd to none. You and your generous gesture have helped to reach a child who in all likelihood, has a difficult time reaching others. Thanks Roger... keep smiling! HH

I found this place by clicking a link from Superdad's post on the Quinte site. I watched and did not post for a while, got the gears when I did and eventually found my place here. Met up with Fishnsled at a Ashbridges GTG, thanks Fishheadrick! Now include him as one of my friends and have met numerous folks since! A special thanks to Gerritt, for , well, being Gerritt! His kindness has been humbling and he to, has introduced me to some great folks! I have hung around though, mainly because of a rumour about a man in a Tutu! HH

BAsed on your age, which I am assuming is still quite young, I have to agree with Lew and Joey. Burn out that youthful enthusiasm doing something you really like. You can always go back to school, and you may find yourself much more successful at school, after you have been there and done that so to speak, you may have an even better idea about what it is that you will eventually do. I have never seen a company hire a resume! I have never seen a company "hire a degree". They hire people and taking a year or two to "find yourself" or simply evaluate your options may put you in much better shape during the interview process as you will have had some REAL WORLD experience to draw from. Companies almost always prefer hands on experience and life skills are not something you can learn in school. HH

We've lost one of the nicest people on the board
Headhunter replied to Roy's topic in General Discussion
I am shocked! I had been Pming Gary occasionally to find out how he was doing. I to, was under the impression that he licked the illness he had earlier this year and I stopped PMing... now, this news. I had only joined up to this board for about 6 months, when I posted that I was going to be in the Grand Bend area for a week and if any OFNer lived in the area and wanted someone to fish with, I'd be happy to join them. Well, Gary contacted me quickly. He lived in Lampton Shores, a short drive from where we were staying. We met up, I was introduced to his wife and his Amy, and off we went to chase some smallies. Now, here's a testament to the quality of man he was... the lake was angry that day. 3-4 footers rolling into the area that Gary fishes. I know for a fact that he would have turned around and gone home to his family if it weren't for me being there, but he said, what the heck Joe, this is the only open day I have to get out, so let's give it a try. We tried for a few hours, nothin doing, but the time I spent with Gary is time I will always remember. Gary had run his own businesses and had his feet firmly planted on the ground. He was the kind of person who you could ask for advice and know for a fact that the advice coming back would be sound. His love for his family was evident in every conversation. He shared his knowledge of props to anyone who asked. Man, I am still in shock... we've lost a good one. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. We will miss him. HH -
Hey Will, Thanks for the invite, sorry I couldn't make it, but sounds like you and yer Dad had fun anyway. Glad ya got somethin! HH
