Jingle, jingle rattle. Yep I hear the keys rattling already. So I'll keep my mouth shut now.

Are bluegill/pumpkinseed/sunfish (not bass) tasty?
pikehunter replied to Mykester's topic in General Discussion
Wouldn't even a turd taste fine if it were beer battered? I do trust the words of those who have dined on these colourful little fish, someday I will give in and bring some home for the table. -
Vinyl cut lettering on the rear window of a Jeep Wrangler or CJ on the 403. My Jeep won the war....your Honda cuts my lawn. I thought it was pretty funny so I figured it was worth passing along. It at least made the drive to Brantford a little more interesting.

You don't need to worry about becoming boatless. When I win it I'll give you mine to use. Thanks for the heads up, I'll have to make Subway a sure stop for lunch.

Looks good! Probably a lot safer and healthier than deep frying a whole bird.
-
Roll the fillets lightly in cornmeal seasoned with s&p with a little onion powder and garlic powder, fry in oil.

Thinking the same thing Dave. Maybe Sunday, gotta go to work this morning for 7. Damn! If I'd only listened to my father I too would have been retired by now

Sell it, get rid of it......I'll help you out with your dilemma, 500 in cash sound OK? Seriously, I repeat what the other smart ones on here have said. Keep it and buy a new boat. That truck is just starting to get broken in. I have a /97 Ford with about 330,000 on it, one owner and that's me.

Good lookin' perch Dave! I think I'm very familiar with that location, actually I thought it may be a little early for perch at that spot but guess I was wrong. Wife and I were going to go down this morning, got the boat all ready for the season yesterday, except for gas that is, but something came up around the house and we never got moving. Thanks for sharing the mouthwatering pictures.

The writing was definitely on the wall the day Labatt bought them out. I'm surprised they let it run as long as they did. Probably a purchase contract arrangement. I tried my best to do my part by supporting the local brewery, it isn't bad beer and besides beer is beer, it all has a similar taste regardless of what brand you drink. Drink enough of one and the taste becomes the norm, just look at how many are hooked on Horton's crappy coffee! If I were out though Carlsburg or Rickards Red would be the choice. Too bad it's closing, typical big business attitude. There may be a day soon where there will be absolutely zero manufacturing left in the Hammer, or anywhere in Ontario for that matter.

SOME of US do care where a car is made, or where everything they buy comes from. For those who wish to help their neighbours out the best they can it does matter. Sure not everything I buy is made here, but if I have the opportunity then why not? Probably the Vibe and Matrix are equal, if pricing is the same then why not buy the Matrix or Civic and be proud of the fact that Canadians can make a decent and well respected product. If more of us were to pay attention to these "insignificant" details perhaps there wouldn't be so many out of work.
-
Ricoboxing, not according to this.toyota newsThe Matrix is built at a Canadian Toyota assembly plant in Cambridge, Ontario, and the Vibe hails from a GM/Toyota joint-venture plant in Fremont, California. the assembly plantTMMC started exclusive production of the brand new Matrix on January 3, 2002. Now in its second generation, the Matrix stands in a class of its own
-
You're probably correct about the Focus being made in Wayne. I was under the impression they were from Mexico? That is what I was told years ago, probably parts then are from there? just like many assemblies in all cars now come from China or anywhere cheap. Best of luck with whichever you choose.
-
Matrix: Made in Ontario Vibe: Made in California Civic: Made in Ontario Focus: Made in Mexico Need I say more? There are only 2 real options to choose from. But if the Focus is a cheap deal then?

Glad to hear it worked Lew. I've had Firefox quite awhile and it works fine. My son uses chrome on his laptop, he likes it.

Nice! Thanks for posting, looks like you had a "grand" day on the river.

Can't vouch for the home remedies other than warm water with vinegar and a paint scraper. Also have rented a steamer in the past which does work. Whatever you do don't just paint over the irregularities that you have left behind or else you will end up with a very messy unattractive paint job. Patch up any gouges left by scraping, after you tear a couple of chunks out of the drywall you will learn the technique and not create more work for yourself. I have stripped more wallpaper off than I want to remember, every house I have owned or apartment I have rented had wallpaper which I had to strip off. That is why I never ever plan to apply wallpaper to any house I ever own! Also don't just paint over wallpaper without removing it first, leaves an amateurish lazy looking paint job because the seams always show. If all fails then take a trip to the beer store, it works wonders too, all it takes is a few splashes on the wall and a couple of bottles in your belly and all is wonderful

Flip a coin, it won't be wrong. All are fine machines. Just pick a decent reliable dealer. Enjoy your new motor

NOPE! I will not fight the traffic to or in T.O., battle for a parking spot then be ripped off for renting that piece of pavement for a few hours or endure the ride on the GO Train just so I can have the displeasure my wallet drained at the gate and then again for food and drinks. I can see about all I want to see at Fishing World, Bass Pro, LeBaron's or Bill's and not have to put up with all of the above. When I was young I looked forward to it every year, a nice change, a little bit of entertainment and a sign that winter was just about over. But that was then, the last time I went I decided that was it. I cannot picture the Sportsman Show being in the convention centre, it can't be anywhere close to the same atmosphere as the CNE.

Hope your lady recovers and glad to hear nothing serious happened to her. Whiplash is nothing to joke about and the pain can last for years, my wife went through it from an accident about 17 or 18 years ago and it still acts up once in a while. Best of luck and thumbs up COPPER -
I was under the assumption that the cost is to be shared, I could be wrong though. I do know that my neighbour at the back needed a new fence because of their pool. He had a contractor come in and build a fence that is at least 6' high all around the 3 sides of his back yard. Fortunately he never asked for a dime. Did a really nice job of it too....really nice I can't complain one little bit even if I didn't like it because I can't beat the price! However he put 2 new prefab sheds in his yard and both are about 3" from the fence and they are supposed to be 18" from it. Too bad they were built so close as there is no way for him to control the weeds so I will have to battle with them...still can't complain though and I don;t want to make an enemy by expressing my minor concern to him or city hall. Better for you to check with city hall and get it right from the horses mouth.

WTG Cliff, gotta keep reinventing yourself, after all it does keep you from getting bored. Best of luck with the new opportunity. -
