What the...., I haven't a clue. I mean I can be clueless quite often but you took a walk way over on "the wild side." Or are you up on the "satellite of love?" And give me some of that stuff too! Whatever it is

Go to your closest Ford dealer. Ask if there was ever recall for this. There was on the Aerostar vans. The cable assembly was changed at no charge if it was brought into them. They had a habit of rusting because of all the winter road salt we have to live with so that is why they switched them for something better. Even before and after this I kept the cable oiled, grease would no doubt be better. You just reminded me mine is overdue,

Yep I have one too! (Maybe even 2, but that comes with getting over 50 ) So anyway, my Uglystick Lite broke! Yes an Uglystick Lite. I was reeling in and my reel fell off the pole. I checked the turn down thing on it and it was tight. What the hell ! Looked again and saw that the plasic reel seat had broken. So what to do with it? Bought it at LB but since it is an hour drive from here and I no longer have the receipt, I tried Can. Tire for the heck of it. I didn't have the rod with me as I just wanted to inquire and told him I bought it there. He said NO. It still has the LeBaron price tag on it, if I get around LB's neighbouhood Ill drop in and ask them. Anyone else ever break a reel seat?

Attacked by a Black Widow Spider Yesterday!
pikehunter replied to Greencoachdog's topic in General Discussion
Good funny story. On a serious note we don't get many black widows up here but about a month ago an 80+ yr old woman in Oakville was pulling some weeds from the garden and got bit by one in the hand. She survived. -
That is one confused moose. Or maybe a smart one? Befriend the hunter and you won't be a target. Great video! Now if I had only studied French while in school.

We, the people of the world have to lighten up and look at our differences with humour, without it this would be a hell of a cold rock to live on. After I posted this I realized that a couple of feathers might possibly get ruffled but if some did get a little messed up then you are due an apology and I'm sorry your skin is so thin. There is nothing wrong with accents, other cultures, other foods it all helps to keep the world interesting. I just like to see the funny side of it all. Does anyone know where the State farm Insurance emergency call centre is? Texas! Now try to converse in ordinary "Canadian English" with a Texan! Oh crap, I just put my foot in my mouth again!

Mujibar was trying to get a job in India. The Personnel Manager said, 'Mujibar, you have passed all the tests, except one. Unless you pass it , you cannot qualify for this job.' Mujibar said, 'I am ready.' The manager said, 'Make a sentence using the words Yellow, Pink and Green .' Mujibar thought for a few minutes and said, 'Mister manager, I am ready' The manager said, 'Go ahead.' Mujibar said, 'The telephone goes green, green, and I pink it up, and say, ' Yellow ', this is Mujibar.' Mujibar now works at a call center. No doubt you have spoken to him. I know I have.

Just like all the other bands making a comeback, their making more $$$$ now than ever. When I was young we used to talk about seeing these old farts up on stage prancing and dancing and laughed about seeing them in the future thinking yah right, they'll be so crippled up they won't be able to move ...well the future is here, I'm crippled up and my buddy who joked about it is dead. Anyway I have to admire them, all of them, for taking a kick at the can. Just think Gene Simmons just turned 60 and look at the life he's living! The only way I would go to see Kiss on stage is if they will sell me tickets for what they went for in the 70's

Thanks for some great fishing memories Mother
pikehunter replied to irishfield's topic in General Discussion
I'm very sorry to hear of your mother passing. It has been a tough summer for you and your family. My heart goes out for all, remember those good memories as the ones you have shared with us in the photos. Peace be with her. -
Pier 4 /Bayfront Park is a great place, one of the few things Hamilton got right! And right down the road, very close by is Lakeport Brewery and you can pick up a case for when you get back home. I was wondering what the fenced off area behind Williams Coffee was and read something about it just the other day, it's going to be an outdoor skating rink come this winter. Too bad thought that the signage on the road into the Discovery Centre isn't better marked with signs as it is difficult to direct visitors to the area. Only sign I saw there out on Guise St. is the little green road name sign, Discovery Dr.

Yes mainly because of line twist and poor feeling and sensitivity in my fingers makes knot tying a chore some days, prefer ball bearing swivels although they are expensive. I bought some of Lebaron's own brand of BB swivels this spring and I regret the decision. They were cheap compared to the others but I have had to re spool because of severe line twist from trolling. The old saying is true, you get what you pay for. As for snap swivels reducing lure action, I can't say for sure but perhaps that may be a reason I don't catch as many fish as I would like to.

Let me tell you about mine and perhaps you have a similar problem. My trailer is a 2005, I am the original owner. My drivers side hub always spit out grease from the backside. I had bearing buddies on it installed by the dealer when new and I figured that I was probably pumping too much grease in and it was escape as the hub warmed up when traveling so I didn't pay much attention, just pumped more grease in it once in a while. So lae last season I arrive home and discover fishing line wrapped around the axle and under the grease seal. I figured now I will have to do the bearings and seals. Since my knee was giving me trouble and a lot of pain I didn't want to get down on the ground to do the job but the dealer was too busy to do it and just as well! I did it myself and when I took it apart I discovered the inner side of the axle had some burs on it which was left behind from the original machining, one of them fairly large, the axle was not properly cleaned off when new. I removed the burs with a small diamond file and finished the job off. Guess what? No more grease splashing up on the back side of my rim, tire or license plate! Have a look at the axle when you take it apart and check how smooth it is. Oh yeah, I sent the dealer an email telling him about my finding, I was not looking for compensation, just wanted him to know of the shoddy workmanship at the factory. Since I told him about this he has never contacted me with a comment or even sent any funny emails which he often did before this, it will be his loss for not acknowledging that report, I am looking to upgrade so guess which boat dealer will not be considered? Remember to look at the condition of the axle.

Congratulations! We will be celebrating our 23rd this month on the 23rd. I can remember one anniversary that I forgot all about it! My son and I came home from fishing for the day and wife says oh I sent out for a pizza, if you want I saved a couple of slices for you two. I still didn't know, then the phone rang. It was my mother calling to say happy anniversary. I said who's? She says yours dummy! I said, well when is it? She says TODAY! OH oh, I knew it was dooms day! She still reminds me of that day. Good thing about it all though is that she always reminds me when it's coming up, and reminds me, and reminds me, and reminds me, and r..... Me too, I know all about low or lack of funds.

Look up Dodge owner in a dictionary, you will see it says Meaning; Equivalent to masochist. You have been warned by many OFC'rs.

The topic of this thread is more evidence of how much a Micky Mouse system of boater competency the government came up with. Maybe they hired Goofy write up the rules?

Canadian Lancaster Bomber visits North Bay
pikehunter replied to Jonny's topic in General Discussion
In Hamilton we always know when the Lanc is out for a spin. The roar of the engines flying overhead is amazing! Glad you got a chance to see the big roaring bird in N. Bay. The propellers on it were just replaced this year. Spectator article and this one props replaced Thanks for the post.
