When I worked there I was told this... Or at least a percentage of whatever is left over after the Gov. and the operator/management co. dips their hands in for their cut of the action, that is my understanding. However the natives didn't get anything from the casino for a long time after it opened and if memory serves correct, they didn't get as much as they were originally offered. Government better smartin' up before we have another Caledonia situation.

Wayne...is right. Don't buy hot property, next time a stolen boat or whatever is for sale it could have been yours. Do the right thing. BTW Wayne, I can tell you too are an Aries I didn't even have to go through the effort to look at your profile, but I did and at 101 years old it's no wonder you are also so wise

Every time I hear that I wonder if that is true then chicken must taste like gator.

Don't want to see anyone loose their livelihood but I can only imagine sport fishing for eyes and perch would be far better without the trawlers. N.Y's method sounds like a good idea, any extra funds could then be put back into Erie's fishery.

I'm not surprised. Packed the bearings in my 2005 trailer for the first time last year and found out why the drivers side wheel always tossed grease out the inboard side (have bearing buddies so kept pumping the grease to it.) There was a bur on the axle right under the seal and it had torn the seal up. Filed it down with a fine diamond file and replaced everything with new. So far so good

You grabbed the words right out of my mouth Wayne. Sorry Gerritt but every time I walk in the door at work I pass by a whole floor full of shiny new BBQ's just begging me to look at them, and I say sorry, but I can burn my burgers just as fast and easy on my old $150 grill I bought 10 or eleven years ago. I can't imagine spending as much or more on a BBQ to sit out in the rain than for a stove for stove to sit in the warmth of my kitchen. Whatever you buy enjoy it and dine on many fine meals for years to come.

I feel your pain Cliff. I too lost a lifetime buddy 2 years ago this Summer to cancer. He was diagnosed in March and left us before the summer was half gone. It is a hard blow and it reminds me that we have to take life one day at a time and do our best to let all the crap go in one ear and out the other so we can have a good time and enjoy each hour to the fullest. Like the song "says, "We're Here For A Good Time, Not A long Time." Keep you chin up and keep your memories close.

We may need to change the opening seasons

Low water levels may make that decision. Levels are pretty low around this area but I can't speak of others. Hopefully an early spawn may help the fish population, it probably all comes out equal over a decade or two with fluctuations in year to year weather. -
Terrific pictures! Glad to hear you guys had a great day playing with the fishies

Looks fast and a demon. I gotta think like Roy and Wayne though...how does it troll and is there room for a 6 pack of Bud while it gets the throttle?

Thanks Dave for the report, I have been wondering how you were or how you did make out on you perch fest trip. Any of those tags caught on your boat?

First off, best of luck and good health with your heart situation and I'm happy to see the insurance provider came around for you. What your house insurer has done to you is something that many of my neighbours and I fear since the area has had several sewer back ups. One had his max payment dropped to $10,000 and some lost sewer back up coverage. In a different situation a friend of my wife forgot to pay her house insurance premium and it was canceled by the carrier. She had a really tough time to find a company that would take her on after that. Best of luck getting coverage.

Good for you Roger! That drive must have been horrendous to BPS. I just turned a great job offer down because I didn't want to do the drive from Hamilton to the Vaughan area daily at rush hour. So business will pick up at Fishing World now with everyone dropping in to see you. Wise decision on F.World's behalf.

Also you can fish from the Grand Island BBQ and snuggle up close to the dam if you wish. Steve's is good too and you can also drive down to Port Maitland but mid-lower river up to the dam is better.

Good job Cliff I'm happy to hear they were nabbed. YES IT IS your business! As well as mine and everyone else. Just like the day I gave a dude crap for not washing his hands after coming out from a stall in a public toilet one day. Told me it was none of my business! Told him it is my business because I or someone will have to put their hands on the same grocery cart that he just had his crap covered paws all over after he leaves the store.

Some nice looking cats! That lone tree on the bank sure has made it into a lot of photos this spring. Maybe even one or two of those cats have too, ya never know eh?

Prop all total 6-8, maybe even 9? Never updated post counts or other stats when the board made changes so I've lost track.

You did read it wrong Musky. There is no need to be calling people a moron or any other names either. YES! WORK! The biggest enemy by far...followed by a lack of money.
-
Funny yes, reality though is the reel seats do break and that's not funny.

You did have a cool experience and I appreciate your sharing of the great and memorable time that you had crappie fishing. Just block out the negativity and look forward to the next time you may have the good fortune to hook up with Italo. Hopefully this thread will survive the bashing. -
Actually only been approached once in all these years, on Bronte Pier about 4 years ago. However, been stopped by the ride program many times. Woder what sort of message that sends?

Gee finally, at least somebody gets it! Some take life, or maybe it's themselves just a little too serious, loosen up will ya
