  1. Thanks for swapping weather with Ontario The Dodge running good?
  2. Is the camp open for 2nd anniversaries too?
  3. You have a great looking bunch of kids! Thanks for the posting the report, great read!
  4. Great read and photos! Aside from the fish, my favorite part of the ocean is scouting the shoreline and looking for 'things'. So much life and cool stuff to be found
  5. depends where you are and who you talk to. I can find cheap labor here no problems. In fact I have one guy (35 yrs old) who'll do any labor for $10/hr he's got a few skills too... and there have been several local ads in kijiji asking for work. Good luck, hope you get your interlock job completed soon.
  6. I like short, average-fishing day type reports. You must make killer buttertarts haha!
  7. If it's like the other lakes in the area, it should be an easy lake to find structure. It's also quite thin. I wouldn't worry too much about maps. Again comparing the other lakes I've fished in the area, you'll probably have a hard time finding fish during the day (unless you get great weather conditions for fishing), but the evening bite should be quite good for all species. I've been meaning to fish this lake for some time but always seem to choose one of the other million lakes in the area.
  8. You picked the right spot! Looks like some great fishing!
  9. I think Kitler (the judge) is from North Bay. Not 100% though.
  10. $15-$20 to re-seat it. Likely that is the issue especially if you habitually run it at low psi
  11. just watched video. I work in environmental spills (a 50,000L gasoline one right now) and my projects seem small compared to this. The Federal reduction in the requirments for Environmental Assessments (EA's) for new 'projects' will precipitate more events like this. The whole point of a properly conducted EA is to identify and mitigate potential impacts like this. I can't understand why any company would prefer cheaping out on up-front EA's and risk company-bankrupting events like this.
  12. Reds and greys and irredescent. Awesome. Great report Drew!
  13. They cruise those weedy flats and feed hard. Long casts from a distance. Next time you go (this time of year), assume they are there and approach with stealth. It's like fishing for stream brookies from a canoe...use your stealth and sneak up on them, they are hungry. Was just wondering about the paddle... I find my 60" is a bit long but I like the 'beavertail' shape. My Dad's 57" suits me better with the beavertail.
  14. Good show! The big largies cruising the shallow weeds are easily spooked. Doesn't take much to spoil a spot...had it happen all too often. Do you know the length of your canoe paddle?
  15. I was gonna say, brave man! Good fishing man.
  16. I'm picturing a double-loaded beer helmet above those legs.
  17. I bet that red gas can was filled with beer
  18. Good job boys. I see the white bass took a few swipes as well.
  19. Its a managed hunting / fishing zone . Usually the fishing is great in the Zec areas.
  20. In my redneck of the woods we call them the gubbermint
  21. bahaha, bugger!! Im basically in the ZEC and I have no fishing gear. My blood officially hit boiling temps
  22. Awesome Rick. My eyes are always trying to spot edibles in the bush. Nothing better than a mitt full of raspberries down the gullet followed by another one.
  23. I'm in Parent, QC and I can't fish. This is nonsense. Why'd I leave my gear?

No gear? Did they wake you up? I'll post a couple for you

  24. Most jealous of this I'll be in Parent, QC. Looks like an amazing secluded area for fishing; alas I will not have my fishing gear or a license....there for work.
