  1. Maybe they are just political words to some, but to others it grants them better humsn rights. Public decrees by influential leaders like this are "wins" at the end of hard fought battles for the gay community. Do you think that Mitt Romeny is just spewing as well? Not likely. He would actually ban gay marriage if he could. I know one gay person (as a close acquaintance) and I find him tremendously annoying, but human rights are for everyone. Equally.
  2. The beetlespin will be used a lot more out of my t-box this year. I'll peg a few walleye with it, for sure. Like Rick was saying, one of my biggest walleye was caught by a spinnerbait. Super murky river water.... You can't beat the flash and brightness of a chartreuse SB.
  3. Sounds like a GREAT family outing! Brian, robocops stopped me a few times down there looking for carp a couple years ago. I was not sure if the marina actually had them or not; I fished with corn and apparently rock bass have a natural aggressive tendancy towards bits of corn.
  4. Yessir! His stats are unbelievable! I hope Semin gets in a fight and girl-slaps another person. Caps are not a great team and NYR can't slip them past Holtby. Kings and jersey seem to have the best overall teams at the moment.
  5. Eeek blood! Put a disclaimer on your reports would you? Just kidding, of course. Hope you enjoyed your meal, thanks for not showing that horrid white flesh to us! Welcome to the OFC tourney, not looking forward to competing against you haha
  6. Hate to see what your ears looks like ... Maybe its an actual metled candle. Someone could have put it in there, it melted in the hot sun and made its way down the drain?
  7. Good stuff justin and Blair. They still haven't sprouted where I look as of yet. This week it should start. Funny how the climate in town allows for much earlier growth then a location just 15kms away.
  8. Its some kind of sea-perch! Nice catch
  9. haha, oh slave boy, OH SLAVE BOY! By my tally, that's 4-0 for her
  10. That one speckie is a beauty I was in the park trolling for lakers this sunday...got 4, nothing huge, but pretty good for a 4 hour day trip.
  11. Absolutely! As long as it didn't end like the book "into the wild"
  12. Magazine-quality shots Mike! Wow.
  13. I like this idea. They'd have to edit out a lot of iced-tea breaks and patio naps though Especially if you could get footage from inside the stuck elevators. Haha.."we need to repopulate!" Don't know, don't wanna know. The best part of that show is when the narrator grabs at skyhooks trying to come up with product-related closing puns, like "Making hand tools is a riveting experience" A show based on door to door activities of Jeho Witnesses would also be entertaining. Maybe call it "walking a mile in my dress shoes".
  14. Those lakers are huge! Well done guys
  15. Ice road truckers, gold mining, dangerous flights etc etc.... I'd like to see a show based on northern/small town tow truck drivers. Those guys get first view of a lot of interesting situations and you can bet that most of them have a lot of character. If only they could capture moments like "lighting up the spilled diesel fuel to clean up the environment". haha. Any other suggestions??
  16. Good to know. I won't be shopping that section anymore. Lots of garage sales around here too.
  17. wow that looks great Cliff. A relatively easy project that pays huge dividends. Its got me thinking about installing a carpeted casting deck on my sportspal
  18. darn west-view from my condo Great shots joey, you can really see the craters... it makes me wonder what earth would look like from space, without vegetation and surface water.
  19. Thanks for the input so far guys! I'm partial to the "feel" of the Fenwicks. I've had three or four Highlanders, which are the CTire cheap-Fenwicks and other than me dropping/scraping/catching in doors, these units have done me very well. I just love the light sensitive "feel" they offer. In comparison, I find almost every equally priced ($50-80) rod feels like a tree-trunk. I've heard about the Fenwick quality dropping over time, but the other side of the coin is just as evident. It would a tough choice for me to leave this brand. Unfortunately I don't have the convenience of shopping large fishing stores...it's tough to do brand comparisons in North Bay. The HMG seems like a decent upgrade over the Highlander...especially if I can catch this sale...$75 looks like a great price. The Compre is closer to $100. The BPS ratings are good btw.
  20. Beaverland has a lot of boats cached at back lakes. I'm sure they'd put you on some fish.
  21. I've always been partial to Fenwicks and I've been waiting for a sale to buy a new one.... this looks like a good price for this piece but I'm looking for some OFC opinions before I pull the trigger. http://ca.wholesalesports.com/storefront/fresh-saltwater-fishing/spinning-rods/hmg-graphite-spinning-rods/prod201608.html?skucode=201609 Unfortunately, the description is way too short. I can't tell if it's a 1 or 2 piece. I'll call them with any questions I have, but does anybody have good/bad experiences with this model rod. Any good alternatives? I won't spend more than $100 because I'm hard on equipment. FYI, this is mostly for walleye fishing. Casting and jigging.
  22. hahaha. Well, that narrows down my choices.
  23. Congrats Ben. I've been thinking of subscribing..... thinking even harder about it now
