  1. Ha, that's actually what I say (paraphrased) to my gf. She doesn't buy it. Better get as much fishing in as I can, while I can.
  2. Your cheering for everybody to just have fun, Joey? Haha
  3. I hear you, on Nipissing an "eater" is 30-40cm. Not big by any means, but they taste so much better than any 5 pound oldie goldie.
  4. Are you exporting the filets to Independent grocers? I saw filets on ice today that were just massive, made me think of you guys slaying the big girls! Again, makes my catches look bite size haha
  5. Awesome drum, man!! I've caught them up to 10lbs in Nipissing, but nothing as big as this! Holy cow what a good catch.
  6. Agreed, not much of an option out there, but this pimping out of our environment just to boost the stock market is beyond stupid.
  7. I was gonna respond since I fish this area a lot... Unfortunately for you, I've never tried Red Cedar and have no real tips for you. I've actaully avoided it because I prefer the smaller/harder to access lakes with my canoe. Best of luck either way!
  8. They taste ok smoked. Didn't enjoy pan fried Goldeye
  9. Sweet! I used to have a blast catching goldeye out west... My buddy would often catch them on the fly with great success. Congrats on your ice-breaker
  10. Good stuff. I actually liked when people talked to me when I used to carp the Ottonobee. Especially the kids who were fishing pan fish and would swarm me when I caught "huge" carp haha. Now when I'm trouting... Leave me alone haha
  11. Thanks for sharing! Considering all the misadventures I have, its good to see that others take joy just getting "out there" as much as I do. Part of the game as they say!
  12. I was hoping to make an appearance this year but looks like I'm going to be working striaght through the next month or so. I would have liked to meet some of the lakair gang.. Maybe next year. Thanks for the tent offer blair... Youve always been a great host/facilitator!
  13. Sweet, put some hooks with worms on that camera when bass season opens up. Sounds better than an alabama rig!
  14. Great photos Joey. Nasty looking clouds in north bay too. Nothing overly serious yet though
  15. Make sure you have enough length from the BB to the hook. A lot of store bought worm harnesses are less than 2feet long, which to me, is too close to the BB. I actually make 3-5 foot leaders and then attach my 1 foot spinners to the leader. Allows for quick changes and lots of distance. The longer the leader however, the harder it is to land the fish a the boat, so be prepared. Also, I usually make my spinners with two hooks. Hook the worm once with the first hook, then again once with the trailer. The worm will swing naturally and you'll get a lot less "rip offs". Enjoy! This is one of my favorite methods for walleye
  16. Nice pike. I should have given you a Team 2 sign last time we met haha. Your not having much luck with the splake, are you? I got into some good walleye tonight at the north bay waterfront.
  17. I'm getting one for my canoe delivered from wholesale sports. Around 12 bones. I'll let you know how it works.
  18. Haha that gave me a good morning laugh, especially after I saw rthe share price and the massive class action lawsuits.
  19. What a beauty walleye!!! Dark hue to it, eh? Great catch guys.
  20. I havnet caught either species... Don't let them toothy fish bite you!
  21. Good luck this year with your new platform! Keep us posted
  22. Good times on good 'ol Nip! Nice sucker
