  1. SWEEEEEEEEEEET choice Simon. Back lakes don't stand a chance.
  2. Dax, I would like to start one in North Bay. There is one in Sudbury but not here. Any advice?
  3. I heard it's pretty "weedy" there.
  4. A bad day of fishing is better then a good day of work.
  5. Same here. Went to bed on Sat.
  6. Like I said, PM me with any questions. I have some good buddies that fish alot of those lakes.
  7. Great story. You need a pedicure though
  8. Laura is hot. I'd take her out ice fishing.
  9. I casted with a Tranx for close to 8 hours and loved every cast! I am a natural lefty but have no issues with "big" right handed reels. Moving my left hand down for casting, up for retrieve, and back down for figure 8 is smooth. Haven't got a fish on the fig 8 yet but that may cause me some grief. Currently I have a Curado 300 DSV and a Calcutta in 400 (with power handle).
  10. Eagle Lake (and Deer Lake) just west of South River. Not too far off of hwy. 11. Google map the area and you will see there are many lakes in the area. I just searched the area on-line and came across several listings for Bray Lake in that area. Not sure what the fishing is like there but my guess is bass.
  11. How far North? Got a price range? Eagle Lake near South River, Ahmic, Ceecebe Lakes area are nice.
  12. Buehrle was 13-13 last season...........? He was a great pitcher.I think Alvarez is the better option.
  13. Great Musky vid.
  14. I spoke with a buddy that I went with and we travelled to South Dakota for a day to see a buddy of his then back to WeFest. I really was a blurrrr of a trip.
  15. Liked it for you Dan. I attended WeFest in South Dakota in 1995. From what I remember.........I had a great time. Tim McGraw announced his engagement to Faith Hill live on centre stage that night.
  16. Wayne, with all Jen (and your family) has gone through it is AMAZING how much of a fighter she is. "C" can't keep her down.
  17. Yep, looks like eleven point or onze point.
  18. I like that option better then the Arctic Crap.
  19. Put a sign below it that says. Smile, you're in my crosshairs.
  20. You are a true character bud. I am proud to call you my friend. Maybe I'll get you out on the ice a few times.
  21. Thanks Mike, Over a year ago I promissed you a $100 order but cancelled because of my job situation. Wel if I can stay on full time for thwe winter, I'll place that order. I am a stand-up guy and it has been bothering me that I didn't follow through. I want to "Zing the Bling" next year.
  22. Had the pleasure of getting out on the water with my good buddy and phenominal guide Dan Columby. I managed to get my 9 year old son out on the water with us as well. Forecast was for 0 degrees celsius with 20 km/h North winds making it feel like -7. We were on the water for 9am and after locating some massive schools of bait fish we set up trolling. Dan had a destination in mind so we trolled a channel between some islands on route to "the spot". It was a short troll and we were casting by 9:40. It didn't take long for Danny to hook into one on a sledge and he handed me the rod. I brought the musky up close to the boat then she bolted turning inside my rod (between me and the boat) and shook the hook out. We all had a good look at the fish before I lost it and figure it was a healthy 42-43". We worked that area for a while then did some more trolling. It was close to noon and Alex was getting cold. He was doing a great job casting a depth raider but will have to work on distance. Although he got the hooks tangled with the leader, and rod on almost every cast he never bird-nested once! Around 1pm a call was made to mother and she agreed to meet us at the docks to pick up Alex. We dropped him off and returned to trolling. No luck with the troll so we returned to casting. We had a big musky follow right to the boat but wouldn't commit on the figure 8. I got a small pike that hit my lure at boat side. It was getting close to the end of the day and knowing that sun-set was prime time we headed back to "the spot". At 4:20 while casting a buck-tail Danny says "here's one and it's big". I grab the net and he says "here grab the rod". I got her in beside the boat and Danny slid the net under her. We cut the hooks and popped out the mangled buck-tail. Dan lifted her out and placed her on the bumper board. 49" and measured the girth at 22". He picked her back up and slid her back in the lake. She was ready to go immediately and swam away strong. These pics were all extracted from the GoPro Hero2 video we took of the measurements and relrease. Enjoy...I did.
  23. EcoTrex Army Surplus sells good warm clothing. Also all the places Rod Caster mentioned.
  24. Tallon Lake just outside of North Bay has rental huts and nice cabins to stay in. Good #s of Lakers to be caught but not many real big ones. Pike, and walleye are pretty good all winter.
