Great shots Lew! All stuff I've seen a thousand or more times, as I grew up in Sin City (Smiths Falls) right on the Rideau, but it never gets boring. Amazing construction in those old PBuildings and the locks at every rise/fall in the system are a marvellous engineering feat in themselves. Driving down town is worse than Hamilton's one way madness..but other than that a great little city.
TJ was serious when he said "Me me oh me me !!!!"...and so was Roy when he said "Oh goody! I'll be standing by the mailbox next week". Contact TJ for the banner advert and I presume you're sending the funds to Roy !
Sure they will John..they always do !
I gave generously at the office,,,er registration table,,,so I'd leave the auctions alone for others to bid on this round.
Nelly, I investigated most avenues over the winter of 2005 and found that for the minimal difference there was between materials and finished product..I let them build them and just picked them up. (they deliver to local lakes of course). After visiting many lumber yards and discussing things I went with Castle/Northland Building Supplies in Parry Sound, as they seemed to be the only ones that appeared to know what they were doing and would custom build to my drawings of what I wanted. If you want a definite quote contact Jim Curry 705-746-5894 They generally have many prebuilt, come spring, ready to go in standard sizes.
To give you an idea of pricing in Pressure Treated (Cedar isn't worth it anymore...no trees big enough to get the old benefit of the oils they had in them!) and also keep in mind any hinges you need are on top of these prices and run $60/set
4 x 16' = $1000
4 x 20' = $1283
Note that unless you have a 4' wide solidly hinged to something like a main dock...people are going to fall off it when it rocks/tips.
6 x 20' = $1340
4 x 10 Ramp = $280
6 x 8' Ramp = $275

Thanks Clampet...at least we know whom Bowshep is now...we was teasin him during the prize dispersal about getting dressed in the dark this morning...with his two different shoes and all....
Great seein you again Gerritt and all the others throughout the day. Since we were all fishin together I may as well add my pictures here in this thread. I too left home with less than 3 hours sleep...crawling out of a warm bed, with a warm women and asking myself "what the hell are you doing"? Running into Joey and Tybo in the parking lot and getting my "Joey hug" reminded me of what it's all about. Good friends and good times. We headed out, after registering, and saying good morning to Ron/Cliff/Kelvin/Roger/JR/Maureen etc and started looking for the most dressed out ATV on the ice. This would lead us to last years champ Terry on the SPOT...and we found him...and I think he lied about the SPOT ! LOL
Here's Terry ready to dawn his metal helmut and lance...talking to Lady Walleye
Headhunter and Fishnsled

Good seeing everyone/chatting back at the lunch/prize draw. Got to talk with most, but missed many I'm sure. Great seeing/talking with all those I did and hopefully will catch some of the other board members at future G2G'rs
Had one on the end of my dock late in the summer. 10 minutes and you'd swear someone dumped a commercial bucket of white paint on the dock. Thought I should take it out before it brought it's family back with it, but by the time I made it home and then back to the lake with a gun..it never came back thru the fall. This spring the gun's goin with me so I'm prepared all summer...
DSN...Turtle Food !
Wonders who's brain fart that was.... So everyone is going to have to drive their ATV's/sleds, pull their tobogans etc thru a midway to get to the ice access at the ramp?
Chocolate....drop by the Hershey plant, in Smiths Falls, on your way back ! Be your last chance..announced yesterday they are closing the operation after 40 years in town. 500 out of work...but we'll get rid of that ugly painting on the town water tower at least!

Get well Bud and don't screw around with it...nip it now. And it's "pneumonia"...we know it all toooo well in this household ! If you run low on drugs...Leah's got a drawer full.
