  1. Because all Shimano products have to be purchased thru Shimano Canada due to Licencing rights. Even BPS can't bring them direct out of their own US warehouse to stock the Vaughn shelves. Thus another middle man that needs, a cut, to keep the lights on.... There is also a 5 or 6% import DUTY for fishing gear made offshore (ie not made in USA or Mexico)
  2. "A visit from JR" What's it gonna cost us to get him out of jail and what's his bail set at.....
  3. If you'll pull my tobogan...I'll show you were we fished last year! We catch nothin but a good time though....
  4. Too funny Terry! See you in the am !
  5. I'll see if I can find my cancelled cheque from last year Joey and get back to you. "Elisa and Terry French"
  6. THANKS for listening...garage door is going up..they're home! Hope nobody else has anyone out on the roads tonight!
  7. Thanks Martin! What you doing in the fall ... LOL
  8. Thanks Joey. Just talked with them and he found the road I was talking about. It's bordered pretty good with a tree line and so far clear sailing with no other traffic behind or coming at them. You never quit being a father...no matter what their age. I'm starting to become my parents...if ya know what I mean!
  9. ..just called my daughter's phone to see how they were making out after skiing Blue. Son (driving), Wife, both daughters and their boyfriends are currently sitting at a road block in front of the WBeach Arena, in my F150 Supercrew. Can't leave Wasaga Beach for Elmvale as every road East and South are closed. Got my son on the phone and told him to ask the Cop to let him turn around and I then gave him directions to the only back road East down by the beach. Hope he finds it and remembers the left/right/left and gets them home safe. Told him if no vis to turn around immediately and to go bang on friends of ours door in the Beach for the night.
  10. Will be easier than searching for their tobogan tracks again....
  11. I find you can't go wrong by just going to your local BOC (used to be Canox) Gas dealer and discussing exactly what you need to do with it. You're going to have to rent/buy a tank and get it exchanged there anyhow. www.boccanada.com
  12. Hell....my daughter can catch a bigger fish than that.....(too bad she's not fishin for me....)
  13. Do a search...there was just a post on these lakes a few days ago.
  14. Heck, a report with fish in it! Great stuff gone fishin and that dinner pic sure beats the pasta we had tonight!
  15. It's the least they could do for us...considering anyone with a computer can/could access where every registered firearm is located by simply entering the area's postal code that they want to do their thievin in !
  16. Bring it Saturday Bud...so we can find our way back home, when everyone abandons us again!
  17. Great report and it's very dial up friendly actually! Thanks for sizing the pictures res nicely for it to be so... Great pictures and story. It's a wild..wild world out there if you want it to be!
  18. One bedrooms would probably be $100 or so cheaper. Guess that would be tough with a baby and the dogs. A simple curtain on tracks changes the dining area to a bedroom. Did that when ours were babies and we lived in an apartment.
  19. Ryan, you'd be close enough for her to walk to U of T and not sure about their pet policy...but I've definitely watched people walk there LARGE dogs out of there. My daughter is at 280 Wellesley (corner of Wellesley and Parliment) and the two bedroom with large living room/dining room is $1050/month. Pretty sure the sign said vacancies when I was there last. They have three buildings, underground parking, pool etc and at least some grass (to walk the dog) around in the complex. I can get contact info if you are interested...when she comes back from skiing at Blue tonight.
  20. I think that's a good question for Spiel...what you say oh noble one?
  21. Gurrty is our resident lonely Grouse... that Misfish will never forget as long as he lives! I think it was love at first sight.... Art/Nipp...I'm just gonna let the snow melt and worry about the parts later. I've survived a perfectly good 3 story building collapsing, in Cabbagetown, onto me in 1980. I'm not going to temp fait crawling into something that's 80% of the way to a pancake already...as I know what will happen when I move the first object!
  22. Mine will be coming off the Verado when I head for Lakair. I'll be running the back up Aluminum for that rock pile ! LOL
  23. I've got two ice fishing safety kits for the table as well Maureen. Just figuring out who/what/when and how with a daughter to get back to Ottawa and the other to Toronto. If I have to I'll bring them to your house tomorrow, but I'm 99% sure I can make the G2G Saturday AM. Wayne
  24. As always John..you're a class act. This is the guy you're looking for if you require what John is offering.
  25. Yah...she was standing there with her wing tips on her hips...shaking her head back and forth staring at the mess when I arrived. She liked to hide under the trailer..
