  1. They're free if you buy the time share unit Art ! LOL I'm first hand to this sheeeet with a Brother-in-law that's one of the sleeze balls that sell such things...and as matter of fact I may even like him a little bit come next fall... as they are being moved to the Dominican Republic to live and sell units on the North Shore there... Free accoms and cheapflights.com here we come LOL..
  2. Well get it all together Paul...and then Rick can have a talent night out on the Rock ! I'll run up the lake for the show...
  3. You don't say how far you want to travel Mike...but ~ 5hours from Ottawa = Site #11 (no power) Finlayson Point Provincial Park (Temagami). Pull your boat up right on the site and if kids are good swimmers they can jump off the rock shoreline into 30fow or walk down the road to the sand beach. Short cut trail from site to comfort station thru bush. Or any of sites #30 to 37 along the shoreline. 30 is closest to the comfort station..33 close to a "toilet" and 36/37 closest to the beach..but furthest from the comfort station. None of these have power. Family can walk into town to shop/browse. Drive up to Caribou Mountain for a gander out over the highest ground in Ontario. Heck maybe even partake in a fishing outing with some crazy guy with a Lund. (my cottage is directly across from site #11...be sure your wife wears bikinis and I'll have my binnoculars handy! LOL ) Look straight up above the boat and the gap between the lighter green trees is site #11 Even better water for the 12' Tinny... any site along the water in the SOUTH end at Martin River PPark (most have power). Site #146 has a real nice fireplace up against a large sitting rock for kids and private boat spot. We used it every year for numerous years and dry camped it with our 34' motorhome...but I just looked and for some reason they now call it a tent site and it has power supposably. They had put power in on all the water front sites in the south end as of 2004..but last time we were there #146 was still without power...maybe they finally ran it over to it. Now if you want a real adventure...but the family may not appreciate being in the middle of nowhere or the two day drive from Qc...Fushimi Ppark (Hearst)...Site #17!!
  4. Looked like another very succesfull outing Tip-up !
  5. Yah he told Jed if he took a picture of his face he'd use that 9mm that's on his belt !
  6. Yep...these generous OFC'rs never cease to amaze me Tom. If postage is tooooo steep to Virginia, you can send it to me to dispose of for you...
  7. SO...when does the lift kit go under it ?
  8. Great stuff Dan...CONGRATS!
  9. You'll be too busy learning Charleston to bother Eddy!
  10. No Joey...it will cause exactly what is going on right now. Cut one guy off...everyone buys somewhere else and then their scheduled fuel delivery truck arrives a day tooo late.... station runs out...panic buys start..same sheeet that's going on now.
  11. Imagine pretty much usable with any unit..as long as you know what wire is what etc to get it hooked up. From Motorguide...supposed to be adapters available for most leading brands early 2007. "MotorGuide Sonar Ready Motors with Built-in Lowrance 200 kHz Transducer and Temperature Sensor are design to be plugged directly into Lowrance Sonar units to maximize Sonar performance showing all of the available detail (baitfish, temperature breaks, bottom changes, ect.) important to locating game fish. With a built-in transducer, motor installation is quick and easy with no transducer cables, wire-ties or hose clamps running down the shaft. Simply plug-in the 6-pin Lowrance Sonar connector coming out of the motor, connect your power cable and you are ready to go fishing. MotorGuide sells a 7-pin (blue/gray) Lowrance Sonar Adaptor Cable for additional transducer compatibility. Additionally, other leading brands with 200 kHz capability are compatible with the MotorGuide Sonar Ready Wireless Series. Look for these Sonar Adaptors to be available in January 2007. " Here's the current list http://sites.mercurymarine.com/portal/page...;_schema=PORTAL
  12. ...just go in fully aware that a landlord has no rights. You way very well find yourself paying the mortgage payments out of your own pocket and also be stuck with a large hydro/gas bill .....after a full winter of not being able to legally evict or collecting any rent cheques. Be cautious..there's lots of "pro" renters out there.
  13. I figured Roy took it down so he could lock them all up off-line and would be putting them back up for viewing...ROY ?
  14. I think you may see Franky buy them first.....
  15. Unfortunately Chrysler hasn't made a good vehicle since 1970 ! Back when.... Plymouth, for me anyhow, stood for "Please Lay Your Money On The Hood" when I ran Carling Ave in Ottawa and the Drags in Luskville Qc. I had no issues taking GM/Ford owners money for a 1/4 mile worth of gas to do it. And Richard...with all them Accronyms you spouted.. GMC must stand for.... your Grand Mother's Chrylser... TYBO LOL ! That explains it well ! I've had them all in the yard ('87 3500 GMC Cargo Van/2 Aerostars/3 Suburbans/3 Sierra k1500's- still using a '98 to plow snow/1 Durango/1 Dodge 1500 pickup at the plant) and like was already said...everyone builds lemons. Unfortunately the above area in brackets lists most of them lemons! Leah's Durango had less than 60k when all the ball joints were already shot. Motor pooched the intake gaskets at 61,000 and was burning antifreeze to suppliment gas mileage. Oil pressure was lost shortly afterwards when idling and I used that POS as a trade towards my 2003 F150 Super Crew with the little V8. Absolulely no issues going thru 65k other than a defectively mfg exhaust system that was noisy/rattling. Baffles fell out of the big can and it was replaced a month back N/C. That little V8 will pull anything my 350 power Sierra did. Leah's driving a 2003 Sport Trac with the V6. The first one she bought had a bit of a lemon smell to it, with a leaky transmission, and what did the dealer do about it? Went and found another identically coloured/optioned truck, swapped all her licence documents and she started fresh again with a new truck after 5000km. She has 60k on it now and has had one brake caliper seize (probably from sitting all summer in the garage without use). Covered by warrantee and they did the other three wheels while they were at it. My Father-in-law is like your neighbour Gerritt. Constantly says "why the H did you guys buy Ford's". "You're not that broke are you"...and then I listen to him whine about all the issues with his Avalanche...and My sister in law whine about all the issues with her Trailblazer and the other sister inlaw whine about her Suburban..... If that's what it takes to raise my property value...I'm not interested!
  16. Wife read in the paper...Prizes in excess of $50,000 this weekend. For more info.. www.gbhba.on.ca
  17. Chris is a true fighter and it's great to see that these guys have been asked and have agreed to get Chris out on the water to fullfill some dreams. Members should also know that there are a few others behind the scenes (members/lodges), that weren't asked for anything, but have done/offered fishing/outing opportunites out of the kindness of their hearts for Chris as well....and they deserve a huge round of applause too...but just may prefer to stay behind the scenes so I'm not going to "out" them.
  18. Cheque would be made out to "Elisa and Terry French"...I know that much..probably sent to Maureen.
  19. I did on my Glastron, as you know Phil. A 40AT and the tops lower case half broke/cracked on it thru the mounting screws that hold it to the shaft...as the head is the only thing you can grab to lift by. The new boat owner will find it slightly modified with a gear/hose clamp around the mounting ring of the lower case to hold it all together.....
  20. One of the reasons I went Motorguide... "33% Stronger Shafts. MotorGuide's Wireless Series composite shaft is beefed up with a larger diameter and is 33% stronger than the competition. All Wireless Series motors feature a Lifetime Shaft Guarantee."
  21. They better...cause I might be if Joey wins that net!
  22. My problem is I'm never sure if they're laughin with me...or at me ....
  23. YUUMMMMMMM Crappie...off to the fridge for a bag of frozen fillets. Sounds like a good supper to me! Nice report Twister..
