Yep , pretty sure it is an Atlantic. It would have been better had you closed the mouth before the pic. I usually look at the back of the jaw in relation to the eye, much like bass, with the Brown being a largemouth and an Atlantic being a smallmouth.

Willow is soft but still doesn't make good kindling , the softwoods that are used for kindling are coniferous trees not soft deciduous like poplar and willow which tend to go punky as they dry out and smolder when burnt.

The big difference between marine grade plywood and exterior is not in the glue but in the integrity of the plys as far as voids and knots, seriously unless you are building an actual hull out of plywood you are wasting money springing for the extra bucks for a floor that you're going to cover with carpet anyway, seal it well though.

People keep mentioning a tranquilizer gun and the MNR, never really known a CO to have used one or even access to one. Maybe a research team funded by a University , but in the field , it's either a live trap or a gun depending on the immediacy of the situation. People been watching too many Animal Planet and Disney Documentaries. Might be bit of bad feeling within the MNR too, the cancellation of the spring bear was strictly a political move to appease certain groups never was based on science. The Ministry didn't create the problems we've had since the cancellation of the hunt with bears and they are darned if they are going to help, you made your bed you lie in it attitude.

Had a modulator valve go on the tranny of a 79 GMC van, same effect, tranny fluid ends up in the engine with a cloud of smoke when you accelerate. Thought it blew a ring Why did it quote 2X???

I see in this weeks Sobey's Flyer , wild Lake Erie White Bass @ $5.99 a pound. We would get them occasionally Walleye fishing there , suspended offshore with the eyes, pretty good size too at times, never kept one to try on the table.

There was a time the probass circuit was limited to 150 HP, I know it was that way in the 80's and don't know when they went higher. Anyway in those days a lot of 150 motors marketed to the pro's had 150 on the cowl but actually would turn more.

I thought that in Ontario anyway black and brown bears were just different colour phases of the same species, just like black and grey squirrels, red phase and grey phase of Ruffed Grouse and Screech Owls. The Brown bears on the West Coast are an entirely different species. Don't think the colour of the fur could cause any behavioural differences.

There is what we call half and half cream at 10% and a light cream at 5% , would either of those not work for your teas?

I've used one of those Black and Decker steamers for both corn and asparagus for years as well as other veggies, works for me but am going to try soaking ears of corn and grilling this year once the price comes down out of the stratosphere.

Seriously, I do great looking in my mirrors backing up but if I turn around and look over my shoulder I get the directions messed upped. I am not a fan of those everything looks a mile away until you hit it mirrors on the passenger side.

Haven't listened to CFNY since Dave Marsden left, the format changed and the " Spirit of Radio " died. CHUM FM was actually great station back in the early 70's too. Thank god for internet stations no good OTA stations anymore. Remember Pete and Geets
