  1. Agreed! HJ14 & XR12 + white spinnerbait
  2. A lot of huts will be coming off of simcoe and others by this weekend. The warm temps are going to give the shorelines a pounding. Still a lot of ice but it'll be wet and I'm not sure how stable it will be. So just be safe out there.
  3. It's like Kipper vs an All-Star team. Finns did not show up.
  4. Relax people, this board is about enjoying fishing stores, reports, etc. it's not about getting your panties in a bunch when a guy with nearly 2000 posts gives a brief report without pics. You jump on him like he doesn't contribute any value here. My goodness... He never claimed in that post above that they were different fish, infact he said "Here is a monster 11lber" and then posted the pictures OF that fish.... You need to read and not just look at the pictures next time.
  5. My and my boy will be glued to the game like the last one:
  6. Was waiting for your post Nice paint job on The Intruder.
  7. We all knew it was going to be a battle of goaltending in this one. Both teams have tons of offensive power, Miller is arguablly the best goalie in the NHL and has been the last couple years. You can ride a great goaltender to gold in any tournament. We're lucky we got 3 past him. USA will be in the finals and hopefuly Canada can meet them there for some revenge, but it's a long road ahead for us. Truth is Luongo should've been chosen as the starting goaltender before it even began imo. He's playing in his home town, he knows the arena, the crowed is behind him more than anyone and he started the tournament off with a shutout. His confidence was high and I think they should've went with him. Not that Brodeur has played badly at all, he made some key saves last night that helped Canada stay in the game.
  8. How do you guys store them that are already made? When I first started using them they would get tangled up with everything, then I started trying to put them back in the bags they came from. That's a pain too when you just want to fish. I can see if you make your own, but what if you're not just starting out with worm harnesses and just buying off the shelf? Where do you put them heh.
  9. I love pike when prepared properly, you could always try grilling it instead (source: outdoor canada):
  10. Google expanded nearly everywhere and that vpike site went viral as if they magically created it. Tis a shame.
  11. Are you planning to camp or rent a place?
  12. It was well done, but I thought there was way too much emphasis on the Natives. People around the world are simply going to have the wrong impression. Not to mention their legs must've been dead tired after an hour of non stop dancing while the athletes came in. The show itself was great, although it simply wasn't as good as what the Chinese did in my opinion. Not to mention a 25% failure at the end didn't help, Steve Nash was looking around like what the hell is going on? I thought the girl who did the commercial for the olympics who sang the national anthem is an absolute gem of a singer but I absolutely hated the version she sang. It lacked the power that our song has with it's normal tempo. I also wish Celin Dion sang... let's be honest, she represents. Regardless of the technical flaws, Go Canada Go - Win it on home soil!
  13. I agree although to consult a lawyer he'd probably have to pay more than the cost to euthanize. If it feels right to you and if it's legal than do what you feel is right. I know it's not up for debate and you're not seeking advice but there is just no way I could turn a gun on my own dog. It would be too visual for me to take.
  14. That looks miiiiiiighty delicious.... Reminds me I haven't ate breakfast yet. Guess I'll go pop an ego waffle (sigh...)
  15. Mine will be 6 months on the 19th. He's yet to burst a tooth but the drool over the past month has increased ten fold and you can tell his gums are getting sore how he jams everything in there to suck on. You hold the little bugger up and your shirt is drenched. He was also sleeping through the night (9:30-7:30) for the last couple of months, but since last week for whatever reason he's now waking up at 4am. A feed and back to sleep works, wife and I are just taking turns on the 4am call. Fun times ahead I'm sure.....
  16. I think it's ridiculous that ppl even care about blurred backgrounds. Who cares, it's all fish porn isn't it? Even if you go to Nunavut and catch some arctic char and blur the background, I might laugh at you but I still wouldn't care. Nice catch Mike.
  17. Been a few times, everytime is better than the last because you learn what's good and not. First and foremost... are you married? Are you looking for gamblin' fun, touristy stuff, or women? FYI Prostitution IS legal in Neveda but not on the strip.
  18. This is why it was The Who.. see the trend? 2004 Wardrobe Malfunction 2005 Paul McCartney 2006 The Rolling Stones 2007 Prince 2008 Tom Petty 2009 Bruce Springsteen 2010 The Who Old guys don't flash people.
  19. I don't own a baitcaster but I always cast my spinning gear with 2 hands lol. I hold the bottom of the rod with the left hand and my right hand is on the reel. I then switch hands, holding the rod in my left and retrieve with my right. Yea I'm one of a kind.
  20. Here's a few of my favs: Tomato Trout (Tomatos stuffed with Rainbow Trout, breadcrumbs, seasoning): BBQ Salmon on a Plank with Kraft Sundried Tomato Dressing: Good ol' Fish & Chips (Pike): Grilled Pike Recipe from Outdoor Canada:
  21. I use to use electric until the battery completely went on my last one. Instead of replacing wife picked me up Fusion. Haven't even thought about going back to electric. I can finally get my neck hair. Tip: only buy the replacement blades when they are on sale.
