  1. Sadly I thought this was about Shore Lunch. I'm suddenly hungry.
  2. Are you serious? That's bold statement to say, why because they are down 3-0 in a series? They lost the first 2 by 1 goal, which really could've gone either way. Infact I'd go as far as saying they would've come out with a win last night if it wasn't for Grubauer having the game of his career. He was the only reason this game wasn't a different outcome. They peppered windsor for 44 shots and had dozens of scoring chances (many premium). I will say however that it was sad to see the emotions get out of control at the end. Archibald's clown hit made me want to punch him out. I was happy to see Grubauer laugh it off, he seems like a good guy.
  3. Or you could just wait a month and try the technique then?
  4. Caught half a dozen jumbos from shore yesterday (only had about an hour and used worms). They are definitely in.
  5. I agree with the genetically changed fish, but what's wrong with a trophy fish from a lake that's not that accessible? Because the average fisherman can't or isn't willing to make the trek to it? If it's an all natural fish in our waters I believe that should count regardless of what body of water it comes from. Otherwise you might as well just count records for each lake.
  6. Wow! I came in expecting crap but instead got porn. Awesome pics, cheers!
  7. Picked up my bass pro wally marshall series rod/reel last night from Canada Post. Never had an UL before, should be fun for the pannies. It's 5'6 one piece and there was no additional charges.
  8. Spitfire should prevail from that series pretty easily I think. It's setup perfectly for a barrie/windsor showdown which is what it should be imo.
  9. You're from Barrie, how about we do OHL predictions instead
  10. I found this pretty interesting: Wily criminal minds never sleep. Luckily for the forces of good and justice, neither do the dedicated men and women of the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department. Robby Rose, 45, a competitive fisherman from Garland, was playing (fishing?) in a bass tournament in Rockwall County last October. Apparently the big ones weren't biting, so he decided to give Mother Nature a little help. According to the TPWD, he stuffed a one-pound lead weight in the belly of one of the teeny, tiny fish he managed to catch. The agency says: Halfway through the competition, Rose turned in a fish. While Rose went to the polygraph area, weigh-in officials noticed that the bass had settled near the bottom of the tank it had been placed in. After examining the fish and finding a lump in its belly, they located Rose and told him they intended to cut it open. The problem for Rose, besides being exposed as someone who would cheat in a bass tournament, was that the grand prize for winning was a $55,000 boat. That meant he could be charged with attempting theft of between $20,000 and $100,000, a state jail felony. "We took this case very seriously," said Rockwall County Criminal District Attorney Kenda Culpepper. "As far as we were concerned, the case was about a $55,000 bass boat, not a ten-pound fish." Rose pleaded guilty yesterday to the charge, and received five years probation and 15 days in jail. Even worse -- he has to give up his fishing license while on probation. "Cheating is cheating," said lead prosecutor Alex Imgrund, "and neither the fishing community, nor this office, will tolerate it." The fishing community -- a shining beacon of justice. Think of that the next time you try to game the Bud Light Trail Boss Big Bass Tournament on Lake Ray Hubbard. http://blogs.houstonpress.com/hairballs/2010/04/bass_lead_weight_belly.php
  11. Just got the slip that my package is in at Canada Post. Will pick up after work and let you know if I have to pay duties (It's a rod/reel).
  12. I ordered a 1 piece ultralite rod last week (my first online purchase from bass pro), I guess when it arrives I'll let ya know. It was shipped friday.
  13. Lightning then wind then wif... caught myself.
  14. We've been checked several times last couple years on simcoe from both police & COs. I think 14' aluminum boats are targets heh.
  15. I've only been fishing a few years, sounds disgusting lol. I've caught them with black spots out of bass lake in orillia. That was pretty disturbing.
  16. I've thankfully never come across those, what is it exactly? Mind you I've never bothered fileting a sunfish just perch.
  17. Not sure of north, south you can hit Bradford. Minnows under a float seem to be most productive (I've always been told to avoid worms) but also micro tubes work when the bite is on, like these: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_74243____SearchResults. I'm not an expert but look for fallen trees, or cover to cast to.
  18. Try this link: http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=usercp&tab=forums The last setting on that page "Topic Display Mode" change it to Standard and click save changes.
  19. The old board use to have an options button to change display views. Try this: Click on your username on the top right corner and the click settings. The last setting on that page should be display view. Change it to look like a forum not like a list. Afterwards click save changes.
  20. Panfish is open all year in zone 16 although you'd probably need a hovercraft to get on the lake right now.
  21. Love starbucks via, I bought the larger pack last time (10-12 packets, can't remember). Are they on sale too? I have to pick some up soon regardless.
  22. I'd rather have a bucket of jumbos than a few 12" pike. I could clean them quicker too. I love pike and I get the point of keeping them for the kawarthas but I'd opt for 20"+. Up your bait size and try to keep the small frys off your line is my opinion.
  23. or price it out to get a natural gas line in? They are freakin' handy.
  24. If memory serves me right (and it usually does not), someone posted here last year about getting fined by the city that their driveway was too wide or maybe they were parking on the grass and the city came down on them.. I really don't remember the post so this is rather useless but it was interesting nonetheless. Anyone know what I'm talking about lol? Regardless, I'd say check with the city, pay for the right contractors and do it right. You probably aren't able to extend it as wide as you think.
  25. Those are some incredible photos, especially considering it was 12 years ago! Trip of a lifetime for sure! I would've crapped myself seeing a Muskox so close and especially since he did some charging. The grizzleys too. I think that's why I couldn't do those type of trips lol. Did you feel fear there?
