  1. That is really cool! Lunkerville is a decent show and i try to check it out from time to time. I'd much rather watch this down to earth show than one with all the hype and noise on some shows. Job well done guys! Look forward to the episode. Let us know when it is supposed to play.
  2. Yeah, if you have water near by, I would say they are Mink. We had a pair here when the ice went out in March, but they seem to have moved on now. The beaver has moved on too thankfully. Just Muskrats now... oh and a Doe tonight!
  3. The link worked fine for me....so maybe it is your work? Sad tale there Jet, but I guess rules are rules.
  4. Peps, We could sure use a little more detail such as make and model number......but outside of that, it is a DC motor with brushes. Depending on how much usage you have on it, it may require new brushes on the motor. You could go to an Authorized repair shop for your brand, or any alternator/ generator shop should be able to help. Good luck!
  5. Welcome Trevor!
  6. Nice report! Those are some decent looking Bass. Hope things go well for Mrs. Bigugli.
  7. Yep, the adaptor I am talking about is an FM transmitter. This is one, mine is slightly different. My link
  8. You can pick up an adaptor. I got mine at Costco. You just plug it into the cigarette lighter socket with iPod in it and tune the car radio to a station not in use. When the adaptor and radio are set to the same station, it plays the ipod over that station. Works okay, better in some places than others.
  9. I have not tried one that far from the city, but we don't get high speed here and I tried a Telus 3GS stick for a few days. It worked really well, but they do have limits and I would exceed that in no time at all! Cell phone signal with Bell is very poor here as well, but this stick was pretty good. The over the plan Gigs would make it way too expensive. If they did have unlimited plans in the past, they are not offering them now. It came with a usage monitor and i could not believe what I used just opening my email.
  10. Dan, You definitely have been missed! Thanks for sharing that little piece of heaven with us.
  11. Sorry for your loss Jer. He was indeed a handsome fellow! Looks like he enjoyed himself with you folks, and really, that's all he asked for.
  12. Congratulations on turning 65 Garry! Happy belated Birthday! Say high to Andy K next time you meet up! looks like a good one he is holding.
  13. My co-workers felt it pretty good here in Brampton. I never noticed a thing!
  14. Congratulations! This story really put a smile on my face today! I love it when you make a plan, do all the right things, ask a few questions, learn something in the process, and when you execute the plan, it all comes together with a reward! Can't get any better than that. Way to go!
  15. I am on a well and as was mentioned, the water "powered" system would be of no use to me. I did however install a 12 volt back-up system to my sump. It works well and I keep my deep cycle batteries from my boat in the basement beside the pump system in case I need prolonged battery power during the Winter / early Spring season. Like Joe said. any back-up plan is better than none!
  16. So.........no fish were hurt in the making of this trip? LOL
  17. Thanks guys! The camera is simply the Olympus 1030 SW. It is already out of production and replaced with a new model. The camera is rated for 33 feet or 10 meters of depth. A lot of them are only rated for 10 feet or 3 meters and would actually be okay in this case. Maximum depth is around 10 feet. I used to SCUBA dive when I was younger and held certifications for both NAUI and PADI as a sport diver. These days I stick to snorkelling and can spend hours cruising the shorelines looking at fish. I was back in the water this afternoon looking for fry. I saw them when above the water, but could not locate them under water. Oh well, I did get more footage of the variety of different fish. Thanks for looking!
  18. I've never tried posting this type of thing before, but here goes. It ain't fishing, but it is the reason I love to fish! For me, it's all about seeing the fish rather than the actual catching. This was filmed on May 30th. which is pretty darn early to be swimmin wit da fishes in this here part of the world! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVPwCR0k33w Hope this works! Oh oh....looks like I found something new. Look out!
  19. Holy crap Gavin! This is my first time seeing your new baby! Almost too sweet for words!
  20. Absolutely amazing trip and post! Thanks for all the work that took so that some of us could taste a small piece of what it must of been like to be there! Awesome!
  21. Great post and adventure Twilight! Those are some of the finest Carp Fishermen (and all around good people!) that we have on the board. Good on you for hooking up with them.
  22. My thoughts exactly Blaque! LOL On a side note, I did just use a couple of the NEW 4 x 4 ones last week. They now have a swivel head on them that lets you straighten them up if they happen to take a twist on the way in. I used them for a little project right at the waters edge and they worked great. I would never use them to put up a fence though. At my last house, we were all set to drill and concrete in the posts when a neighbour two doors down decided he wants to go the "easy" route and use spikes. We stuck to our guns and did it proper. His entire fence leaned over and fell in less than a year! GBW, I know in your case, you are only using one for a special purpose at the gate. Sorry i can't tell you where to get a 6 x 6 one.
  23. Yeah, what they said....welcome aboard Pangle! At least you fish for BASS as well as them oily fish! Look forward to your input!
  24. What.......no BASS? Welcome to the board anyways Alexcba!
  25. Welcome to the nuthouse!
