  1. I have a group 24 cranking battery, and I don't see anywhere on the top of it that opens so you can add fluid. Are they not meant to have fluid added periodically? I removed the stickers on the top but theres no access. Its a Nautilus motomaster group 24 starting/cranking battery.
  2. Confusing thread. One person plans to have the boat out and the other says sim or has 2 feet of ice.....you guys talking about the same simcoe??? i know In the Kawartha most of the lakes are pretty much open now.
  3. This is the target audience. Not sure about the auction idea.
  4. I use braid, but sometimes is a PITA. When It catches a wind knot or tangle, they are impossible undo. Usually have to cut the line and retie.
  5. Ice is disappearing really fast in Kawarthas. Lots of open water everywhere. Most shorelines are really sketchy to be getting onto ice.
  6. Rivers been open over a week now. Ive seen open areas on Chemong as well.
  7. Wow monster....Gull??
  8. The sportsman show is a better show. I think it’s in March.
  9. I have a 1.5ah battery for mine. I get 10 holes of about 12-14" of good black ice, and a 6" auger. clam plate.
  10. Ya we lost all the snow when it was 10* for about 3 days straight and rained. Didn’t recover from that.
  11. Its a Marcum, not sure the model. Its a lake north of the Kawarthas.
  12. Ya I moved. I was looking for lake trout. They were in 50 feet. There was a lot there though. Most hardly moved.
  13. Wasn't the fish I was looking for today, but cool none the less. Edit: hopefully this video can be viewed, not sure how else to get a video to be viewed.
  14. The battery it came with was small 1.5ah battery. might be why.
  15. just got this setup recently....bought a Bosch 18v drill. it only managed 4 holes before the battery died.....not sure what to think. Not much good if I can only cut 4 holes.
  16. could have, cant now lol.
  17. Shouldn't be posting google map locations like that. These forums are read by hundreds of people all over that don't have accounts. That spot could have 100 cars in it tomorrow now....... PM people this information, or give general ideas. don't post maps and google map locations like that.
  18. the snowmobile trail in Kawartha Lakes is completely gone down to the dirt. The lake looks really sketchy right now, Ill be careful the next time im out there
  19. I’d be interested in how it goes if you choose one. I’ve been wanting to do Lakers on Simcoe all year but I don’t know where to go or what operator to go with.
  20. Spent two days on a zone 15 lake for lakers and checked a bunch of depths and locations and couldn't mark fish anywhere. Tried depths between 20-100 feet. If anyone has some tips they could PM me,
  21. I was on a zone 15 lake the last two days. was 5-6" of good black ice.
  22. Yesterday. Ya its not really the most safe. Near shore is 4" and solid, but it gets thin fairly fast. I have a float suit and spud bar my way out. Im actually hoping that the rain yesterday melted a lot of the snow on the ice and now we have several days of cold weather could really help the lakes.
  23. Went out on a more northern Kawartha lake. Still 3” mostly. About 1” white 2” black. Made it about 100 yards before spud bar went through on one hit. So it’s only safe for the first 100 yards then it’s paper thin. The warm weather and rain really reversed all the cold we had.
  24. The two days of warm weather really softened up the Kawartha. Already lost the top inch.
  25. Not sure how far north you are, I measure only 2" where I am....and most of its white ice.
