Anyone have any thoughts on the Legend Xcalibur 16? Its a used model. Seems to have the items Id want in a boat, 16 foot 82" beam, with a 60hp motor, and the flip down seating. Im getting hit and miss reviews about Legend though.

I would say no. There very windproof so they don't breathe to much. I find them really warm for fall and winter fishing.

Anyone plan on going. I don't anticipate much from it. Surprised it's 3 days actually.

I have the 100MPH bibs, and they are amazing, and really warm. Ive only used them in colder weather though, not summer fishing. id think it be way to heavy and warm for any summer fishing. I used the 100MPH pants all winter long for ice fishing even, they're that warm. Im wearing them in my avatar.

Thanks, you are correct, it is the fourth. Notty is open year round for rainbow trout though, which was where I was looking.

Do they stay closer to the main lake (like the mouth of the river) or do they go way down the river. Theres two rivers Im looking at, but the rivers are massive, and not sure where on the river I should go. Close to the main lake or way in land. Not sure anyone will help with this, I know people are really fussy with trout advice.

I have also caught multiple fish on SSR. The hooks are on the small side, but it does well. I love the action on it. Ive even caught some monster bass on it.

thanks for the replies guys. Ive gone to a bunch of dealers, almost all of them had zero used inventory. Anyone suggest any dealers? I went up to Innisfil and further north. Ive found about 3 boats on Kijiji I wanted to move on, but they've all sold within the first day full asking. One boat sold within the first few hours of posting.

Was wondering what people think is reasonable to offer someone on Kijiji for their boat. For example if someone is asking 20,000 what is a reasonable amount to offer without being a lowball? Theres a few boats ive seen that are pushing 10 years old and I feel they are asking to much. I guess some of it depends on how long its been for sale?

Was out in Minden on Sunday, lots of ice, easily 12". Top 3" is definitely very soft, spud bar goes through easy 3-4" but then its hard.

OP were you able to find anything? Theres been a few boats on Kijiji Ive liked but have sold within a day of being posted, and I usually cant get out to see the boat quick enough. Other than that lots of overpriced boats on there, and a lot of flaky people not really willing to drive to a lake to test the boat.

Thats awful. Id say you made the right call by keeping your safety first. AKR is right, first thing you learn for any emergency response is ensure the scene is safe, you are no good to anyone if you get hurt or injured, now someone has to rescue you as well. There are countless news stories of someone trying to rescue someone or something else, only for the rescuer to drown.

I dont have a drone, but I read through the article and the webpage. It seems relatively unclear, and its also not clear who can enforce this? Who is able to issue this fine? Its a transport canada ruling, so not sure if local police can enforce this. There are other things they could enforce Im sure.

Can you guys explain the main difference between the new powerdrive and the terrova? there's a massive price difference of $600. Both are 55# models, both have foot pedal controls, both have ipilot, but ones 1900 ones 1300. It seems the older powerdrive V2 didnt have foot pedal and ipilot, but the newer model does.

I was planning on going out one more time this weekend at a small lake up north. Last time I was there two weeks ago it had way over 12" of ice, and its been cold every night since, daytime is a bit above 0, but nights are all below.

Thanks guys. Im not sure how people are buying and selling boats on Kijiji or trader right now, all the lakes are still frozen. Is everyone buying boats without any sort of test run? There a re some boats im interested in, but the lakes still have weeks or more before ice is gone for a boat to be run on them.

ya its a fiberglass boat. thats what Id like inspected mainly, to see how it is. Can someone actually recommend a marina on Pigeon lake? Thats where the boat im interested in is located.

As per my other thread, Im looking for a boat. Used seems to be the direction as new doesnt get me a lot. Ive seen a few boats that are what Im looking for, but the boats are between 10 and 15 years old. How would I go about getting the seller to bring the boat to a marina for an inspection? Is this a reasonable request? I dont mind paying for it. Id imagine if the seller is not willing to do this then the boat probably has problems?

South portion of Sturgeon was open water a week ago. I dont think it ever gets to thick from the trent severn waterway though.

Went today, was good show. Saw Karl Kalonka from Xtreme Angler, Charley Ray from Fishful Thinking and I believe I saw Pete Bowman from Fish N Canada.
