  1. Just my experience with trucking companies, and I worked for a number of them over a 30+ year driving career, they didn't normally have anything on them that the law or a union contract didn't require. I seem to recall seeing that that company had a total of two trucks? They were probably lucky to keep tires on them?
  2. LOL, no press 1 for English feature? tyranny!
  3. A better question may be, how many of you people have caught a 100 - 300 pound catfish? Just guessing at very low numbers?
  4. A 150 hp in most if not all cases will run away from a 115 hp, if your boat is rated for a 150 a 115 seems a bit under powered? better to solve than now than later?
  5. Great pics and report, it's been stupid hot here too, I was glad to see some cooler weather!
  6. OK, that explains that, my boat was older and I haven't really kept up with the newer technologies, water did seem to be coming out of a livewell a lot stronger than it did out of mine. Hope it is an easy fix for you.
  7. Great! Looks like you had a fun outing! A couple of questions, how is the guiding going for you? I noticed water being pumped out on the right side of the boat a few times, does your livewell pump it out? or bilge pump cycling?
  8. Ah, the price of fame!
  9. Pump, I believe Reelfoot Lake on the Tennessee - Missouri border has them too, it was formed by an earthquake on the New Madrid fault an the Mississippi river flowed the wrong way? LOL, always viewed the main lake area of Erie as a watery desert with fish and the same boring scenery forever.
  10. Great pics and report, PAB almost always produced produced some decent largies for me, and some of my friends get them 5+ pounds on the French River.
  11. http://alabamarig.com/regulations/four-hooks-legal-fishing-the-alabama-rig-in-ontario/ As I understand the law you can use 4 hooks on an a rig in Ontario, here in Ohio we are limited to 3. I have never used one, but just my thinking is that you are trying to imitate a school of baitfish, I view getting the fish to strike and landing it as more important than hooking multiple fish at a time. Doing battle with one 5 pound smallie at a time was enough of a challenge for me, I couldn't really picture having more than one on the line at a time as usually having a good outcome. Just my experience Bill, is the ones here on Lake Erie will school or hunt in a pack all the open water season. I can't really think of a more suitable explanation for catching 20 - 40 off a spot not much bigger than your average boat in a half hour? I have gone hours either not catching any or just a scattered fish here and there, and then suddenly the bite is on!
  12. Good info on setting up and using a rigs.
  13. Heat index temps are predicted to be 100+ degrees here for the next few days, it maybe a better time to swim with the fishes than to sit in a boat and try to catch them!
  14. LOL, I feel your pain! It cost me a lot of money for my daughter to learn how to castrate a hog! Ya the book says the cold will kill them.
  15. One of my daughters had posted this on her facebook page.
  16. Great! LOL, kids devour more food and snacks than those little raccoons! Sleeping beauties! mine had the ability to fall asleep before we would get to the corner of my road, and faster on the way home! Did you get the " are we there yet " sound much?
  17. LOL, I think Bill Dance ran into one of those in his bloopers videos?
  18. http://www.motorguide.com/support/dealers/locator I'm not seeing a lot of options for you as far as repairs.
  19. Pump, they also have them on ebay for a couple of bucks.
  20. Just wondering Old, haven't seen the lake except in pictures and videos since Deg and Whopper got me out on Erie, must be 10 - 12 years ago? As I recall the boat was leaving a mud trail as we left the dock, it needed a couple more feet of water then.
  21. Old, are your water levels there high?
  22. Pump, ya I noticed that 4 wire set up first thing, and according to this you can use 5 wires but have to leave one hookless. http://alabamarig.com/regulations/four-hooks-legal-fishing-the-alabama-rig-in-ontario/ We can only use 3 hooks here, the top 2 would probably get a couple of 3.5 willow blades or a screw lock and dummy bait with no hooks. In that video they mention using 3 baits and leaving the bottom wires empty to make it more snagless in rocky areas, I just wonder if the 3 baits on the top wires throw off the balance? You can get 5 wire a - rigs on ali for a couple of bucks.
  23. mamona, I think we can only guess at that, I used to pitch a floating Rapala into holes in the lily pad fields at Pointe Au Baril, you could see L/M bass rise right up behind them, some would commit with a twitch and some would just swim away. I am just guessing it happens a lot more with lures we can't see?
