  1. https://minnkotamotors.johnsonoutdoors.com/powerdrive?id=13491 The shaft lengths available seem to vary by model and thrust.
  2. Ohio used to have " state stores ", they were the only place to buy a bottle of high test alcohol, you could buy beer, wine, and blended " water whiskey " like 40 proof in the grocery stores. LOL, unless you knew your local bartender well and were willing to pay double or more for a bottle to go? The state store employees got paid pretty well, were union, healthcare, pensions, and there must have been a couple of dozen " state stores " in the Cleveland area alone. The stores had liquor in locked display cases and the same deal with the slip of paper and getting your purchase. If you were under age? Don't bother trying a " state store " to get a bottle, it wasn't going to happen! One of our governors, as a cost cutting measure did away with the state stores, if you believe that line?
  3. I used parachute cord from Walmart to hold down the tarps on my wood piles, that stuff seemed to deteriorate quickly when exposed to sun and weather. I replaced one once and use braided nylon similar to light anchor rope.
  4. I often wondered about some of the laws by location? A beer store and alcohol store? One place we vacationed and fished at in New York was in a dry township, no alcohol sales.

  6. LOL, MS must be effecting my brain now! How did I miss that?
  7. https://weather.com/weather/tenday/l/44253 We seem to be having March weather here in April, except for the next couple of days I don't see much change.
  8. Video #2 may be a lot more help than video #1, and it is more recent.
  9. LOL, not crazy at all, my Astro vans would fit if my standard 16x7 garage door, my current 2500 series full size van won't, but I had an 8 foot high door installed on my barn when it was built. Another factor to consider is will it fit with a cover on? but that seems less of a hassle than the boat not fitting at all.
  10. I can see where the boat's height on the trailer could be a concern, is there a dealer near you? If that is all that is holding up a prospective sale they might bring one out for a test if you are close? Do they all use the same trailers? That may also be a factor if they are different?
  11. I am just assuming that since it appears to be just a nut welded onto a piece of galvanized steel that the bolt maybe the only stainless involved. It's broke off flush? no nub you can get a pair of channelocks on and try and heat and remove? I would put some anti- seize paste on the replacement.
  12. https://www.ganderoutdoors.com/store-locator/list/ They are showing a Tonawanda location.
  13. You lost me at dock sleeve, something like this? https://www.navstore.com/patriot-dock-hd-pipe-holder-10810.html
  14. Just curious, what is it broken off in? Some of that stainless is hard to drill a hole in for an ez out, you may need a carbide drill, and there are a couple at least styles of ez outs, depending on the situation one may work better than another.
  15. As I recall Field and Stream stores are owned by Dick's stores.
  16. http://www.kanolabs.com/ They seem to make a big deal about selling direct?
  17. Down imaging was how we found walleye and smallmouth on Lake Erie, that or head towards the island of boats for the walleye, they would even show up on a flasher.
  18. Alligator Ichthy?
  19. Watching them guys fish the classic was sort of an eye opener to me, they probably have more cash tied up in their electronics than I did for my last boat new. 15 inch displays and such? I didn't see any budget electronics and there was references made about video game fishing. Just from my smallie days on Lake Erie? finding them when you are seeing a 6 to 8 foot wide piece of the bottom at a time was time consuming, especially when the area with the rocky bottom was a few miles long. It's a lot easier to justify the expense if need it for your job?
  20. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Humminbird_Helix_10_Sonar/descpage-HTS.html Here is a link to prices on a helix 10 with different features.
  21. https://www.humminbird.com/Category/Technology/Side-Imaging/ I am certainly not up to date on all the technology John, but they seem to claim that? " Welcome to Side Imaging It’s all in the details. Gain a 180 degree side-to-side perspective on the world below the surface with remarkable Humminbird® Side Imaging®. In an instant, the ultra-thin beam scans the area up to 240 feet to the left and right of your boat location—for total coverage of up to 480 feet. The return image for each slice is then added to the images taken immediately before and after to build an incredible view of the lake bottom. You can then magnify the detail of the image with the zoom feature or mark the GPS location of promising cover or structure directly on the screen. Side Imaging's high-frequency beams reveal structure, cover, and contour changes with crystal clarity. The images are so real you might think it’s a camera, but it’s not, so it doesn’t matter how murky the water is. "
  22. chris I have no experience at all with them, and even the two I had on my boat were old technology. The ability though to see anything that might hold fish farther off to the side of the boat just seems to be a plus to me, a rock pile, change in bottom contour could be a difference. I think that they use the standing trees and sunken bridges as examples? but weeds and weed beds? Schools of baitfish or larger fish off to one side? Just getting a hint that there might be something on the side to checkout saves time and gas?
  23. I watched the 2018 BassMaster Classic, props to Jordan Lee for the back to back wins. There was some discussion from the commentators during the event on the number young guys in the field and their ability to grasp the technology that they have grown up with. The ability to see 240 feet or so off to either side gives you a huge advantage if you are able to decipher what you are seeing. These kids are fishing in high school clubs and college clubs, they are learning the technology early. You're in 30 feet of water and seeing a 10 foot circle, that guy that can see 240 feet off to either side has an advantage, how many fish do you miss, or how much more time do you have to spend locating them?
  24. https://www.bassmaster.com/tips/fishing-electronics-part-1-basic-sonar " if you’re over 12 feet of water, your most detailed screen information comes from an area about 4 feet across directly below your transducer. " I have never used one with side imaging, but it seems to me that having the ability to see a wider area could be golden?
