Some days I don't last till desert LOL

I just drove the 1 1/2 miles in on my dirt road and it's as bad as it'll ever get. Even in 4x4 I was sliding sideways coming up the hills. Anyone with rear wheel drive may as well just park out on the hiway and wait for springtime to arrive.

I kept a very basic log for muskies for a lot of years but it was more just to keep track of the numbers of fish I caught from one season to another. Date, time of day and whatever body of water I was on.

Back in my Navy days we made a huge hook with a steel rod, tied it on to a couple hundred feet of rope and baited it with some scrap meat from the galley. We secured it to the stern of the ship, tossed it overboard and dragged that thing half way to Europe. Never caught anything or even had a hit that we knew of but that was probably a good thing considering the size of some of the creatures that roam the dark depths of the ocean 1500 miles from land

I don't watch NHL hockey but enjoy the Olympic games and those girls did us real proud, excellent finish to a great game !! Well done ladies !!

Those broken tines on the remaining antler weren't like that a few days ago and I'm wondering if they actually use the trees as leverage to break them loose ?? I think I'll take a wander along their trails thru the woods today and see if I can locate the missing antler. Dan, that's a great picture.

He's got a harem of about 14 ladies with him most days but I never see another buck around, although 'm sure there's others in the neighborhood for him to scrap with.

I've been waiting for this big guy to shed his antlers and he dropped the 1st one sometime yesterday. I wandered thru the woods looking for it today but didn't find it. Maybe I'll find the 2nd one when it drops. This is him in my yard a couple days ago And this was this afternoon.

Probably 40 years ago my dad, my bro and myself were trolling along when my brother stood up for a pee. Trouble was when he stood up, the boat flipped completely over tossing everything, including us into the drink. We were close to shore and our camp so we just swam in and got our buds boat to retrieve what we could. We were all good swimmers and although we lost alot of our gear, nobody was hurt. We were a very close family and laughed about it then and continued laughing about it for many many years to come. Your right about trailer brakes Terry, I've got surge brakes on mine and even pulling a fairly heavy boat I hardly even notice it behind me when stopping. They make a HUGE difference.
