  1. Still got lots of snow here but it's sunny & warm and yesterday I worked outside in a T-shirt and actually got a sunburn and this morning had a robin in the tree. Roads are dry so today I'm removing the winter tires and putting on the summer ones, so that should guarantee a snow storm in the next few days.
  2. That's basically what I use too Craig and they do a great job of keeping the unwanted critters away from the feeder. I bought mine from CTC and if I remember correctly, it was around $25
  3. I've always said "you don't need to catch a fish to have a great day of fish'n" Good to hear you guys enjoyed yourselves Brian.
  4. I almost never watch movies simply because I don't have the patience to sit in front of the TV for 2 hours, but I did recently watch Captain Philips with Tom Hanks. Maybe not the best movie I've ever seen, but it was pretty interesting and based on a true story. If it's still being shown on TV, I'd recommend it.
  5. Sad part is, Wynne and her Lie-berals will probably get back in....again.
  6. My last 2 trailers have come factory equipped with swing-away tongues and both had the cables mounted right behind the hitch. Personal opinion though, but I much prefer chains to cables.
  7. They talked about the cell phone incident on the Today Show this morning and evidently the woman has actually received death threats over all this. No charges against her though as cell phone use while driving isn't against the law in her state. As for the guy in the pick-up, the police determined from the video that he wasn't wearing a seatbelt so they charged him with that along with leaving the scene.
  8. I made my own Drew with all the components bought at Home Depot. Stainless wire cable, snaps, crimps and heat shrink.
  9. Don't know if it'd work in your set-up Simon with dipseys or cannonballs, but for trolling musky baits I made up some wire cables with clips to prevent my rods from going overboard. I find 4' cables work well for me but others use different lengths. I loop a wire between the reel and seat to attach one end. The other end clips to the grab rail.
  10. I can't get the video to work so I don't know everything it shows but I saw it yesterday. The guy in the truck was wrong and Karma got him good, but with the woman video taping out the back window, then showing her speedometer, then out the back window again, then out the side showing the finger salute and then following the crash all the way, she sure as heck wasn't paying much attention to what was going on around her and was darned lucky she didn't cause a crash of her own. At least that was my thoughts while watching it.
  11. That things a beast !!
  12. Lotsa good times there Bill
  13. I have a bud over near Havelock and he lives across the road from a farm that raises beef and sheep. He says in the spring when all the young critters are being born the place is crazy with coyotes trying to get at them.
  14. If anyones interested, I saw an ATV for sale today sitting in a driveway on the west side of hwy 28 between Lakefield & Youngs Point...(10 miles north of Peterboro) Only thing I can tell you is it's a dark colour and has a gun case strapped to the handle bars.
  15. Nice chunky musky there Doctrt
  16. OK Norm, I know that place, we ate there a few months back after buying some shoes at Bigley's. We also like Cody's and were there for supper last Friday evening.
  17. Cody Inn at Buckhorn Norm ??
  18. That's an excellent picture
  19. Yeah, you could be right Brian.
  20. Only 4 1/2 months to go Art, bring your big baits LOL
  21. Starting to get a few bare spots on the ground in the yard and the deer are taking advantage of the grass that's available to eat now.
  22. Here's a few Nipissing muskies from the last couple years TJ And a couple St Lawrence fish
  23. If you fish in the off-season, alot of boat policies won't cover you through the winter months.
  24. Happy B-Day Norm, all the best to ya !!
  25. Maybe I'm wrong here, but it seems to me $10 is a bargain. You get to sit in the comfort of your own home and browse a catalogue on-line, pick out everything you need and it's delivered right to your front door. If you were to drive around to the different stores looking for everything I'm sure you'd spend more than $10 in gas alone. Or maybe it's just me
