  2. Some great shots there TC, always enjoy the bird pictures
  3. Yeah Bernie, I've got alot of Dewalt tools and their all good so that's why I figured the radio would be too. It's got excellent sound when the garage lights are off but it's tough working in the dark LOL You'd think if the static is an ongoing problem Dewalt would do something about it. Oh well, I'm heading into town this morning anyhoo so I'll just return it and get my money back.
  4. Thanks Bernie, it's one of those Dewalt jobsite radio's that run off 110 or an 18 volt cordless drill battery. Got a good deal on it and figured it'd be good to use in the garage or when when I go places where no power is available. It's $200 at Home Depot and CTC had it on for $130 Oh well, good deals aren't always that good I spose.
  5. Thanks Roy, I just went out and tried the radio with the battery rather than plugging it in and I still get the static, so I guess the filer idea is no good. Guess I'll try a different type of radio.
  6. I use a whole whack of T-8 fluorescent lights on 2 different switches to light my garage. I always have a radio playing when I'm out there and have never had an issue before but I just purchased a new radio and now get nothing but static when the garage lights are on. Turn the lights off and the static goes away. Just wondering if there's some type of filter that may get rid of the static or do I look for another type of radio ??
  7. Yeah your right Shaun, awesome picture !!
  8. That's a nice tent, should make for alot of good trips for a long time.
  9. Really scary stuff, I've seen that on a couple different websites & emails but never realized it was in Ontario.
  10. Haven't been there in more than 20 years Will, but a couple dozen of us used to go to Bonnie View Inn at Haliburton for weekend snowmobiling trips and back then it was a pretty nice place. Big main lodge with a bar & restaurant, plus a bunch of cabins around the property. Your right at the lake and the trails go by the front door. No idea what it's like now though but it's something you may be interested in. https://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&sqi=2&ved=0CDgQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bonnieviewinn.com%2F&ei=u7PyUsKvCsGRqgGz-4CoBA&usg=AFQjCNFXknkuSaB-04nTOgukxDOznUBriw&bvm=bv.60799247,d.aWM
  11. He could throw snow into his neighbors driveway on the next block with that thing LOL
  12. Yes, it said emaciated but sure doesn't look like it in the picture.
  13. Here ya go
  14. Maybe that's why the dood still looks so chunky after 16 months drifting across the ocean, could be he ATE Wilson
  15. I'm retired and live about 10 miles east of Chemong at Clear Lake and would highly recommend this area to anyone. I don't fish the tri-lakes nearly as much as I used to but always enjoy them when I do. I don't find the algae to be a problem at all and wouldn't be the least bit concerned about it, but that's just my opinion. You'll be close to Peterboro and they have most things anybody could want. And if you settle in Buckhorn, Cody Inn has about the best Chinese food around
  16. Maybe I'm just cynical, but he looks pretty good for someone who drifted on the ocean for all that time. If it is true, it's quite the fish'n tale https://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=3&cad=rja&ved=0CDIQFjAC&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.theguardian.com%2Fworld%2F2014%2Fjan%2F31%2F16-months-adrift-pacific-marshall-islands&ei=b9jwUu3HO6GCyQHs1ICoCA&usg=AFQjCNFShslSg6zynX2KU09gkQrARtXdSQ
  17. Good to have you aboard & nice catch !!
  18. Yeah, a real loss for the community but fortunately no injuries. Firemen are a real close knit group and they'll get all the support they need until the station is rebuilt and the trucks and gear are replaced.
  19. I was talking to a neighbor the other day and he said 4 deer have been hit around here in the last couple days and yesterday I had one run across right in front of me. I'm on on a dirt road a mile & a half in off the hiway and pretty well every time I drive in or out lately we see deer on the road. I guess their just trying to get on a decent smooth place away from the deep snow for a change. Pretty tough for them too with snow piled 4 & 5 feet deep everywhere. Your thoughts about the salt seem good too Brian, I know deer like it.
  20. And bird seed too Wayne
  21. Yeah Rob, I spose the wolves & yotes have a tough time too with their shorter legs.
  22. With all the deep snow this year it must be tough for alot of the animals to get around. This guy was walking across my yard an hour ago and the snow is up to his knees and we've still got a couple months of winter to go.
  23. Some impressive fish there boyz, well done for sure !!
  24. I've had alot of tents over the years and the best ever was Eureka.
  25. Atta boy Bill, that things a brute !!
