  1. I love living at the far end of a dirt road cause I haven't seen any door to door yahoo's since I've been here, other than the jehovas doods my 1st summer here. After I finished telling them exactly what I thought of them and their religion, they never came back.
  2. Love it hahaha
  3. Perfect ice MELTING weather
  4. Great fish'n report Charlie, oops sorry, Manitou
  5. It's the only fish'n show I watch anymore.

  8. Welcome Brian and you've picked a beautiful part of Ontario for your vacation. I've never fished Northwest Bay but have been fishing muskies in West Bay...a few miles south of you...for the last 10 years and I'd assume it's somewhat similar. Personally, I like to cast but alot of the guys are trollers and also do well, so you should spend time both ways and see what works best for you. In my own personal experience, I've had the best luck casting large bucks & spinners in open water well away from any structure....strange as that seems. The cabbage weed will be in full bloom by the time you arrive and that's where you'll find the fish, usually. I see most fish in the 8-9 foot depths and usually their up near the surface and often hit the bait as soon as it lands. Be sure to figure 8 after EVERY cast too and that'll definitely put a couple more fish in your boats. My #1 bait is a very large black & orange spinnerbait but usually anything big & bright will work. You won't get big numbers of fish up there but the ones you catch will normally be good ones at least in the high 40's or low 50's with excellent chances of much bigger. The musky in my avatar came from there and is an average size. I'll be up there the last week of June and again the 1st two weeks of August and will probably be driving past West Nipissing Resort the morning you guys are leaving for home. Good luck and have a great vacation, and if you get into a good fish, please show us a picture.
  9. I've said it here before, but the worst I ever saw was Charlie trolling muskies on LSC and when he hooked into one, he spammed 6 sponsors before he landed the fish.
  10. I had cutters in the boat when my motor burnt up Wayne, only problem was I wasn't in the boat with them.
  11. My last boat had a cover that went completely over the bow including the troll motor. I covered it one day but accidentally hit the constant on button without knowing it. I charged the battery then went home for a week then I uncovered it a week later to find the cover had stopped the prop from turning and I burned out the motor. Price to fix it was gonna be darned near the price of a new motor so I bought a new one. Expensive lesson but ever since then I always unplug the troll motor before charging.
  12. Might be an explanation if it only happens while towing the trailer Wayne. I've got a spray-in bedliner plus a solid tri-fold cover, but I doubt that would have anything to do with keeping snow and water from coming in under the tailgate. Strange for sure. Back in 2001 I bought a new Dodge pick-up and it let water in under the tailgate like yours when I was driving in the rain so I glued a strip of foam rubber along the bottom of the tailgate and it solved the problem.
  13. Not sure what's going on there Wayne, but on my last 2 f150's I've never had anything like all that snow getting in the back of my truck...or even dirt for that matter. Seems really strange.
  14. Thanks jimmer, hope they get it fixed up quick.
  15. I don't use anything myself John, but maybe Van & Truck World would have something you could use, they carry alot of truck accessories.
  16. We'll see if we can change that for you this summer Art.
  17. I had a foot of snow on my roof a week ago and today it's nearly all gone. Still lots on the ground and in the woods though, although about 30% gone
  18. I've seen you in action Art, we have nothing to fear
  19. Peterboro news said something today about parts of Yankee Line west of Chemong being under water but didn't give anymore details as to where abouts exactly.
  20. I was in Bridgenorth for a haircut this morning and meant to go have a look and completely forgot about it. It's a bugger getting old(er)
  21. I've been around this big ole country for a very long time and never once have I EVER had a problem with our police so I'm not too concerned if they pick up some new equipment if they think it's needed.
  22. Good to hear Costa, guess I was just seeing it wrong.
  23. Maybe it's just the way I'm seeing that picture, but from where the chains drop down from the hitch, are you gonna have enough slack for making sharp turns ??
  24. Yup, and on my last boat I got 8 years out of both deep cycles & the cranker. Just keep them charged.
  25. Yeah, he's pretty comical Craig, he's been here all winter & we named him George. He hasn't been around for a couple weeks now so I assume he's off doing the mating thing.
