Water pump or impeller? Check on iboats.com. There is a wealth of knowledge on that site as well as some guys that are willing to help you through a job. If its the impeller, you should replace it every 2-3 years to avoid problems.

Can anyone spell COMMUNITY??? Good on you Wayne. That boat should be good for quite a few more years.
-
If you will be using it as a general purpose rod, go with a heavy action. MH wouldnt cut it for for jerk baits and the like. Okuma is another option for some semi affordable rods.

Good for you Pete!!! Keep it up. I have to start my own change of lifestyle next week now that I am done chemo. I managed to put on over 50lbs in the past 6 months or so with all the steroids I was taking. My goal is 100lbs. I want to hover around the 200lb mark. I plan on being reasonable with portions, no more 16-20oz steaks with all the fixins. Long walks with the dog every night are also a big part. Thats why. I got the dog last year anyways.

I'm going to start cleaning and lubing reels next week. I picked up some line a couple of weeks ago and will re spool a couple with mono. All the braid is going on year 3-6 depending on the reel and what it is used for. The cork on the rods gets a light sanding with some fine sandpaper to clean them up and look purty.

How to stop starter battery blue build up...
bigbuck replied to mike rousseau's topic in General Discussion
Disconnect the battery, and give the top and posts a good cleaning with baking soda and water. Rinse it well and clean the wiring as well. -
Before running and buying a boat, try to get out in a few different ones to see what you like and dislike about different models. Educate yourself as much as you can. You are going to be shelling out a ton of dough, spend your hard earned money wisely.

12 volt deep cycle batteries, recommendations and questions
bigbuck replied to Old Ironmaker's topic in General Discussion
About trying your motor with a battery thats borrowed, one that a buddy has that is known to be good. That way you can see if your trolling motor is pooched. If not, pick up a pair of Kirklands and be done with it. Batteries need to be taken cafe of. Whatever you were doing, keep on doing it. 11 years out of deep cycles is pretty darn good. -
I had a split foam grip Berkley rod from the early 90s. They have been around but these days its all about the dollars involved in making the rods. Cork is expensive and is getting more expensive. With wine, the most expensive thing is the bloody cork, not the grape juice that fills the bottle. Rods have gotten a bit out of hand when it comes to price. Used to be a hundred dollar rod was crazy expensive, now the sky is the limit. If you like the way it feels with the particular reel you will be using then go for it.

Welcome aboard!! Im a musky guy myself and love some pickerel for the table. The rest is just bait.....

You have the trailer figured out. As for the boat and motor, you need your serial numbers to get it registered. You dont need the grief of getting a ticket if you fish other waters with the boat.

Good for you Cliff. Take it easy and do what you want to. Enjoy yourself, you deserve it.

Boys and girls, a wise man once said, take care of yourselves and your families and don't worry about what you can't control. Cyprus like the rest of Europe, overindulged in the post dot-bomb boom. They have to pay the price. 1/3 of the accounts involved belong to Russians who use Cyprus as a money laundering place like the Caymans are used in North America. Besides, everyone will get the equivalent amount in shares. If the banks do well, everyone will end up profiting. Its their mess, let them deal with it.

You will now officially be known as MacGyver. Nice to be able to clean up when you are roughing it.

It is simple and focuses more on the scenery and less on the fishing. Its a nice change and it showcases our far north quite nicely.

Good for all of you!!!! I have packed a bunch of weight on during my chemo. I'm on some heavy steroids that have really cranked up my appetite. I can't wait for this to be over so I can start my own weight loss plan. Its called keep yer dang mouth shut after 7:30pm. Only water after then. No sweets and reasonable portions of food. That combined with lots of walking seems to do the trick for me. 30 push ups, 30 leg raises and 30 sit ups for muscle tone once some weight comes off. And the drs orders, 1000 casts for muskies once a week.

Coyote Gun Restoration - Warning - Graphic Images**
bigbuck replied to NAW's topic in General Discussion
I guess your piece shoots straight. Nice going. Coyotes and wolves getting close in the country are a nuisance and a danger to livestock, not very great if you are a farmer. Easy for people in the city to poo poo shooting them until one of them kills rover or injures their kid or worse. Just dont let the skin go to waste. It should make you a nice little rug for your bedside so when you get up in the morning, you step on a warm skin and not a cold floor. -
Hopefully she doesn't blow up real good. Drop some gas line antifreeze in and hopefully she is good to go.

I'm with Bill. Chances are that in running it right down, you plugged up the pickup which is a very fine filter. You should think about pulling the pump and cleaning the pickup sock and changing the fuel filter. Hopefully this will get you going again. If not, you already know the answer.

Nice ride!! I was planning on getting a bike this year but more of a big heavy cruiser. There's always next year. Enjoy it.

Just a bit of an update on Pikeslayer Jr.
bigbuck replied to Big Cliff's topic in General Discussion
Baby steps. He is moving slowly in the right direction and that is what counts. -
Grey wolf where'd you book in honey harbour? Reason I ask is I had a trailer there for a few years and I can give you a couple of suggestions of where to go fish. Pm me if interested. Lunatic, there is a reason there is a OFC get together at Lakair every year. I am hoping to go in the next year or two.

Happy bday Jen!!! She is doing great!! Keep on trucking!!! -
You can't use kerosene in them. Unleaded would work but be careful, for the amount of fuel it uses, just get the Coleman fuel.
