Lew, unfortunately I had to head back yesterday afternoon. I was hoping to spend one more night and fish the Green Acres tourney today. I was going to try to pop in and see you last night. Anyways, all I got for my efforts was a 27incher and a busted skeg out by Hurricane pt. ALL the rocks are not marked on the charts. Its not too bad just chewed up a bit. The Fenwick trolling rod works great. I tried several different lures with it and it pulls them no problem and feels nice. I just need to try it out on a 50+incher to really see what it can handle.

Karma... it is a three way street correct?

Dex is not fun stuff. I get 80mg of it in the 24hrs leading up to treatment. It keeps the possibility of reacting to the Rituximab to a minimum. -

Wayne, I've got my fingers, toes, eyes, ears and everything else crossed. I was in for maintenance this week and am still recovering from the massive doses of dexamethasone (steroids). It ain't fun but we gotta do what we gotta do. They'll get Jen fixed up. Take care. -
Rizzo, where abouts? I can try dragging a big treble with a big weight out front. Lew, love to see you @ some point. I'll give you a buzz on your your cell if I can kick loose.

I have a 6'6 Fenwick Elite Tech jigging rod. Ml action with a fast tip. Love it. I would not go longer than that for an in boat rod. Anything from 6 to 6 1/2 ft in an ml action. Med is a bit too heavy for jigging.

Swung by Fishing World this morning to pick up a couple of musky leaders this morning. Saw the new Fenwick Elite Tech Musky Glass Trolling rod. 8ft6in, heavy with a mod fast action. Nice looking rod and it felt better in my hand than the St Croix Premier which was more than twice as expensive. For 90 bucks I figured what the heck, I have a spare trolling reel so I bought it. I will be trying it out this weekend on Pigeon for the annual Musky tourney with the boyz. I will be in my beige Larson fish in ski bowrider if there are any OFNrs around the north end of the lake (Lew). Say hi. I will report on the new rod and the fishing. I'm kinda forced to do more trolling now since I don't have the same oompf I did pre chemo.

Just use a syringe. Ask your dr for one and let him know why you need it.

georgian bay islands national Park camping?
bigbuck replied to bow slayer's topic in General Discussion
You can park at whichever marina you launch from. I will PM you with a suggestion. At Beausoleil, you can beach your boat or anchor it just off the shore. Depends on what you have boat wise. Fibreglass, no, aluminum, yes. As for fishing, the little harbours have some smallies and hammer handle pike. Venturing out a bit................. I would suggest buying the chart for the waters. 30 odd bucks is much cheaper than 100+ for a prop and 300 for a skeg. Besides, then you will be armed with a powerful weapon in your search for fish. Theres plenty of smallies and dare I say some BIG musky not far from the north end of the island. -
Cyclophosphamide is not a lot of fun. i hope they gave her some anti nausea meds. No oranges or orange juice. They counteract the drug. I had 8 rounds of chemo with it in the cocktail. She wont feel well for a few days but will get her strength back fairly quick. She has to eat. Very very important. She may not want to but you have to make sure she eats so her body can fight. Good luck. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your wife. Be strong for her when she cant.

WOW, nice report!!! I miss LOTW. Witch Bay goes into _____ Bay. An unnamed big bay on that magical lake that has a couple of spots where we have absolutely NAILED the walleye. I caught my first ski up there and it started my passion. The in laws were up on Route Bay, about 35-40 mins from the camp. I spent a fair bit of time bending Gord Pyzer's ear and also Bob Mehsikomer's as well a couple of years ago at the Odyssey. I am hoping to get back up there in the next year or two.

What Wayne said!! Do not leave until ALL of your questions and concerns have been addressed to your satisfaction. Don't be nasty to the doctor but be firm. Best of luck to you and your wife Bruce.

2nd citywide. He does good work.

2nd citywide welding. Lou is a good guy and does good work. He fixed a prop for me and did a nice job. Gbay claims yet another victim. Kings on Muskoka rd 5 on the way to HH is another good place. Calvin has been at it his whole life and is pretty good as well.

Good days fishing!! Before anyone jumps down your throat, please remember that vertical holds on big fish can be just as fatal as slashing their gills. Two handed holds are much better, besides, they make small fish look bigger.

Ouch!!! That is a mess! Hopefully you guys get up to lotw without a hitch. You def WILL enjoy it up there.

Kirkland from Costco are good as well as the batteries from Walmart. Keep them charged and full with water and they should last quite a few years.

Depends on where you plan on spending the night. Wawa is about halfway and there are a couple of places there. If you can push to Thunder Bay, there are lots of options. Tbay will leave you with about 8-9 hours to the 'peg. All depends on how the mrs feels. The 'larger' towns have better options. Have a good trip.

Find a prop shop in your area. You will need a wrench that is 1 and 1/16ths for the prop nut and a block of wood to stop the prop from spinning. It will take you a minute or two to take it off. I would also buy a spare while at the prop shop. Make sure you put some grease on the prop shaft when re-assembling.

Pick up a new one. It does not necessarily need to be a marine unit. If it has a cover you can use an automotive stereo. You will probably need to buy new speakers. Those should be marine because of all the moisture they are subjected to. Stereos do not last for a very long time in boats because of the moisture.

Juravinski has a good reputation. Hang in there Bruce. Some chemo and or radiation and she will be ok. Be strong for her when she can't. Keep us posted.

Scammers trying to make a buck. I'd report it to the OPP as well as the MNR.
