Strikemaster Auger - Idle is sputtering and auger wont turn
bigbuck replied to cityfisher's topic in General Discussion
2things to check, one is the gap on the spark plug, and the second is to pull the carb on it and clean the inside of it thoroughly with carb cleaner and then blow out the orifices with compressed air and put new gaskets and diaphragms in it. Google the manufacturer of the carb, you should be able to find a rebuild kit for it. I did for a 42 year old Pioneer chainsaw this past weekend. Parts are out there, you just have to dig a bit to find them. -
Have your buddy rush his wife to another hospital. Preferably a larger one. My wife had 2 caesareans and was in for 3 nights if my memory serves me correctly. They CANNOT discharge her if she refuses and does not think she is well enough. Come to think of it, she was in for 5 nights for the second child because we has Norwalk ripping through the house which put her into early labour. Tell him to be firm but not get irate, that does not help his wife. Screaming in pain after a c section is not normal. I wish him all the luck. Our health care system is not perfect but it is what we have to work with. For my cancer treatment, I cannot give enough praise to my doctor and the nursing staff at Credit Valley's chemo ward.

Medcan x 2. They provide referrals for their clients/patients, to the best doctors/hospitals toute suite. We do have 2 tiered health care. It is just not publicized.

Have 3 combos in the boat. 1 with a jig and minnow or crawler or leech spooled with 8lb mono. 1 spooled with 20lb braid to pull a harness. Finally, 1 with some sort of jerkbait or crankbait spooled with 20lb braid again. They do not have to cost a fortune. Have decent reels with half decent rods. I would spend more on the reels, they last a very very long time with a bit of maintenance. Rods break, so do not go too crazy unless you can afford it. Lastly, enjoy your time on the water.

Phil Robertson is no country bumpkin. He is a smart man who had a sweet arm back in the day, some guy named Bradshaw was his backup QB. He has his religious beliefs, GQ asked him a question and he answered it truthfully. What do the execs at A and E think?? Maybe they should have asked him what A and E thinks of homosexuality. I give kudos to the family for rallying around their patriarch. Other networks would be more than happy to pick up the show. A and E had better back off or end up losing the #1 rated reality show on tv. Mind you, this could be scripted as most everything is these days but that is another topic.

Looks good Marc!!! What time can we all be over??? -
Sweet skis!!! You had yourself a great year.

You guys are going to think I am crazy but buy the heaviest unit in your price range regardless of output. The heavier units have better quality components in them and put out better quality sound. With the drive these days to cut costs, receivers do not weigh much at all. Most do not even have very good heat management in the form of heavy duty heat sinks. You cannot go wrong with Denon, Harman Kardon, Yamaha, Onkyo and the like.

This year I was only able to get out once for musky, got a 26incher or so on Pidge. Once for pike, el skunkola. Once for walleye, 2 14inchers that graced the pan. A whack of times on our lake up at the cottage for smallies where I did pretty good. A 4lber, 3lber and a bunch of smaller ones. Got them dialled in. Now for pike in the spring on the lake. Hopefully next year will see more fishing for me. Lew, we still have to get out and chase some bigguns next year.

I'm praying that this will be the last round of chemo for Jen!! -
Welcome back!! We like fishing reports so feel free to post some of your adventures this winter.

I fueled mine up and gave it 3-4 slow pulls to move the oil around, turned the ignition on, primed and choke on and she started on the first pull. So, according to my snowblower, it wont be a bad winter. When it gives me issues, its a bad winter. Shes 23 years old and hasnt been wrong.

SUPERTANKER!!

The complications are just speed bumps on the road to recovery. I went through hell and back to get my body to tolerate the silver bullet for lymphoma, rituximab. It almost killed me but with perserverance, we got it into me. Grind it out and keep smiling for your mrs.

Take the bad along with the good. Good to hear that she gets to dodge the radiation. Hopefully one more round of chemo and you guys get to go on with the rest of your lives. Good luck!!

Great pic of the family!!! -
TJ, I feel your pain. We are heading up to close the cottage this weekend. I serviced and put the boat away 2 weeks ago and now it is the cottage's turn. Now to look forward to March break for re opening and May for splashing the boat again. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.........

Yes you do. It can be mounted but only permanently. The quick release bracket will make your life much easier. Make sure when you mount it that the trolling motor can deploy fully. It will probably stick out a bit.

Thats some good news for once!! Hopefully there will be more to follow Wayne. -
Thats devastating news!!! My heartfelt condolences go out to your brother and the whole family.

It definitely has issues. Contact Shimano to find out where you can drop it off to get repaired. If you are in the West end, Aikmans can fix it for you. He is on Novar drive @ Hurontario and Dundas in Mississauga.

I gotta get me one of those!! Only in America.

Depends on what you are going to use it for. Double 10s/Cowgirls are damned big and need a low gear ratio. Big jerkbaits/glidebaits not so much. Smaller spinnerbaits such as slopmasters, you can get away with a flippin stick with a good low profile reel. I really like my record 65 from abu, the winch is a great feel in your price range. Save up another week or two. Buy a good reel, you will have it for years and years.
