its just that last fall I finally got a proper jack, and yesterday I finally bought an impact gun,,,no more stomping on the tire iron and using the crappy jack in the trunk for me. I am actually looking forward to changing them. Gonna be a breeze this time. Used to take me an hour per car, now I bet both are done in an hour.

never thought about the insurance! They would use any loophole not to have to pay.

I have a couple days off work....strongly considering swapping out the tires on both vehicles in the next day or two. Anyone else thinking of making the change early or am I alone in considering doing this? The 2 week forecast was all above zero (and many days above 7)

You know its March 11 right? Sheesh musky doesn't open for 3 months, you would just be wasting your time on lesser fish. Grab your boat in April, warm up on some pike in May, and then really slime it in June. Bam problem solved.

I did not view the original post as legitimate. It is so blatantly against the rules I view it as someone asking to be "piled on". "Trolling" I believe they call it. How many times have we not seen posts that are clearly meant to rile people up? When guys ask what the best recipe is for 50 inch musky is that supposed to be answered seriously? If that was not your actual intent (to post a question that would obviously get a reaction) then I am stunned. Having said that, don't discount my advice, it may still be a good carp spot.

that is my prime carp spot. Try pulling one of those lippy buggers thru the ice. If you succeed, that's some good eating right there. Use an 8 or ten inch auger, fire some corn down the hole and hang on. Have a heated frying pan nearby with butter, pepper and salt. Don't even bother filleting it....just right into the pan. You can deal with the guts and bones later.

I didn't mind the interruption....what I didn't understand was you know your kid is missing, but you have to say its a child between the age of 8-13? Shoot if you want me to find your child give me the dang age! An 8 year old can be tiny, a 13 year old can be practically 6 feet tall. NOW I understand why they did it...it was a bystander reporting. But at the time, I thought man this is stupid. You want a child found but give only a vague description.

every canal, pond, ditch, lake etc has bass in it. Loved fishing down that way. And golf courses are great. Find a course that is not that busy and take a few casts as you golf alone. OR find a course that is super busy and take a few casts while you wait to tee off. I catch tons of bass doing that

Looks sweet to me! The others are right about more space in a tiller...but you may be like me, willing to sacrifice a bit of space to have a console. I even had a 14 footer with a side console...just a design I prefer. Uh oh...here we go again

I have often wondered about perch after dark. Did you get any after dark or did they all come earlier?

If its too cold for the propane stove to fire up I am not going fishing! I had no idea this could be a problem...but at least I now know the solution if I ever get brave. I will fish nasty conditions in the late fall, but come ice fishing season I am a "fair" weather kind of guy I guess

Stranded in an ice fishing hut with heat...I can think of worse places to be stranded. Most of them involve my mother-in-law.

Almost bought a ticket this year a few weeks ago...then I looked at forecast. Maybe I will come up next year. Came in 48th place the first year I entered...nearly won the boat!

June - 3 days at St Clair not long after musky opener July - 1 week renting a cottage at Pigeon Lake (family thing...fish only 2-3 hours per day) October - 3 days at St Clair again ...although I am hoping all this gets cancelled if I can find a reasonable cottage to purchase on Head L , Rush L., or Mitchell Lake
