  1. ...I meant the turtles but I suppose it could apply to the poachers as well
  2. gross. they stink
  3. those are ridiculous, nice catch
  4. oh and having worked in Kitchener the past 3 years, it does not surprise me that this is where she is from. Something is in the water in that town.
  5. says she had to swim 30 metres. How the heck do you get 100 feet out there. Maybe she kept her foot on the gas for a while hoping to scoot on over to the other side?
  6. When I was a kid we always went to Sandbanks PP out near Picton. Boat down the river and fish East Lake. Some real nice spots to camp right on the river and the fishing was great for pike, largemouth and pickerel
  7. was able to catch the last quarter...now that's more like the team we saw all season! If these guys can finally break through all the nerves (and they've had 14 games to do it) they can give Cleveland a test.
  8. ...and of course my wife books me to be out while the game is on today. Could PVR it....but I think the horn honking, or distinct lack of horn honking will speak volumes. Or do people not care enough in Guelph to honk?
  9. always dramatic. For me, to be a successful year they have to beat the Heat. Lose this game I call it another disappointment. Win and I call it a success, even if they get swept by the Cavs next series
  10. if its walleye then I think a good choice. My understanding is they can be found at the mouth of the Thames this time of year. Then you would just need to bomb north a few miles to go after pike in Mitchell's Bay....not sure how long a boat ride that would be
  11. ...although they do fight hard....sheephead are never my target so are always a big disappointment when that silvery flash shows up. I remember once going after pickerel in quinte...thought I had hooked a new world record...til that sheephead showed its ugly giant mug.
  12. although I have no advice, I do wish to comment that this may be the first "I want to catch a sheephead" post in the history of fishing
  13. Havent been there in 15 years, but it sounds like the freebee launch on west shore is gone? What about the campground at the northwest corner...is it still an option?
  14. As others have said, that is one frick of a drive for so so pike fishing. Although I have caught pike on st clair, the musky to pike ratio is probably 10:1. The only area I have caught more pike than musky is Mitchell's Bay so if you are heading that way I would go there. Better options far closer to home would be Cooks Bay, Dalrymple, Canal, or Mitchell. Good luck and let us know how you do
  15. I took a big rubbermaid tote, drilled holes all around the perimeter, plus hung a bar across the length of it...acts as a handle plus hang a few more lures off it
  16. Lowry won me back over with his play tonight (still very disappointed in the last regulation play of game 2 tho...it was a total waste at a chance to end the game)
  17. the good news is you got the boat in the water!
  18. I was livid at the last play before regulation. Brutal.
  19. Raps looked like the first round raps. Miami was worse than I expected...don't think they will be that bad the rest of the series (Miami I mean)
  20. glad you got out and hope you get er all fixed up. My boat still sits patiently waiting
  21. thanks for the update. Glad you at least got into a couple!
  22. well they tried to give it away, but Indiana...well...they're Indiana. George ran out of steam (thank goodness). Sure hope the jitters are gone and the second round brings better things
  23. I puked a little in my mouth watching that
