I also read it completely. There was no reason for them not to give me my money back, that is why they eventually gave me 2000, after a MASSIVE fight. So now I am out $500. Am I gonna take them to court over 500? No...too much trouble. That my friend is an absolute scam. Try to steal my 2500, but if you know I am gonna put up a fight, just give 2000 back to shut me up and make it so I won't go to court. The clause they referred to in my "denial" letter didn't even exist! Over and over I asked them to send me proof of this clause in my contract...nobody ever did. In my case it was a clause that I had to provide service records. This clause was NOWHERE to be found, yet it was what they tried to use to not give me my money.

Go get em! If anything good comes of this there have been 10,000 views to this post...hopefully that prevents others from being scammed...or it stops car salespeople with a conscience from selling this scammer policy

I even had one of those "consumer protection" tv groups tee'd up to go interview Dodge about why they were not helping me....then I got a good chunk of the $ back. I had been having chest pains from the stress/anxiety....just decided to let it go for the sake of my health. Also had a case set up with their governing body...let that go too. I guess that squeeky wheel expression worked in my case. But it never should have come to that.

I did emails, faxes, phonecalls...you name it. I was absolutely relentless....because I was very skeptical when I bought it...couldn't believe I fell for their scam. When the lady at Dodge sold it to me I actually told her "If this doesn't work out...I will be your worst nightmare". I am a man of my word. They tricked me, got my money, I was not going away without being an immense pain in the butt. After all, I did warn them I would be incredibly annoying if it didn't work out as they promised. And I was. All phone calls I made I took notes and recorded the day/time/who I spoke with. Right now I would say your bigger beef is with the dealership...they should never have sold it to to you.

Ya I called Chris too when I was going through this. Fortunately I never had to go to court...I ended up getting 2000 out of the 2500 I was owed so left it at that...same as you...was losing A LOT of sleep. At the time I really needed that refund and had "budgeted" it. Was a disastrous experience to say the least
-
interesting...never saw that slideshow before. Although it never says "the refund will be given" it certainly doesn't say there is no point to apply for your refund. If that were the case (going over voids the warranty) it should say it plain and clear right there. You go over in the 4th year...don't even bother applying

Sorry to hear that Kverde. We were never told that if we went over the 100 k that we wouldn't get our money back. Only thing we were told was "If you don't use the warranty you get all your money back...including taxes". When I was fighting for my claim I did notice some wording that made me realize that if I had gone over the 100 k before the 5 years, they could decline the refund. Never noticed this in the beginning, and it certainly never was mentionned. Only found that info once they declined me and I read everything over 20 times trying to figure out what basis they had to screw me. You may be in for a tough battle because there is a tricky little phrase there about exceeding 100 k before 60 months is up (at least my documentation had that "out" clause for them). What dealership did you buy from?

thats what it was...bizarre...for some reason I was thinking I knew his stuff from SCTV. Couldn't go through an episode without him calling someone a Putz or something being strapped to him with those dang "bindings"....like Saskatchewan has seals
-
Sure hope they are making him a casket with "genuine Saskatchewan sealskin bindings"

oh wow...dragging the motor upside down through the rocks...you knew that wasn't gonna look so good at the end

Friday's warm weather and rain may change that...unless its significantly colder up that way. We expect 10 degrees and rain tomorrow in Guelph

Whenever I go fishing and catch nothing my family thinks I am wasting my time...I should have them read your story. Sums up really well how catching fish is often just a bonus

Do hunter's learn a bear's life story before they decide to shoot it? I am not a hunter so don't know how this all works. If I were a hunter that came across a bear I would likely say "Hey...a bear" Then I would shoot it. Probably would not take the time to determine whether the bear had a tough life or an easy life.

Guess I never noticed the 25w40 because it was easy to find the 10w30...went straight for that. This time when the first two shops only had the 25w40 it got me wondering. Luckily third shop was the ticket

Sad day...winterized the boat today. Had a tough time finding 10w30 4 stroke marine oil BUT I saw tons of 25W40 4 stroke marine oil. I had never noticed this type of oil before. Is this what is being recommended now for 4 stroke engine oil? I did find eventually some 10w30 and bought it but was surprised how much of the other I was seeing (maybe there was so much because nobody buys it!) My engine is a 90 hp Yamaha 4 stroke from 2013 if that makes any difference.

Hope to get the boat out one more time this year...tomorrow at Belle River. The problem is one weather site says big south winds in the morning switching to north in afternoon, the other site shows big north winds all day. Big south winds is doable...big north winds is death. Since we are content to fish from 8-2 we would be willing to make the long trek if we actually knew with some reliability what the winds would be. How can one site have the exact opposite of the other (north vs south??). This much I know...odds are if we make the long drive it'll be a north wind, if we cancel, oh it'll be out of the south alright!
-
awesome! Tell me when they are $149.99 at Cdn Tire and I will get one
-
apparently there are some nice ones! That destination has been on my mind...just too far for the one or two day ventures I go on currently
-
Good thing about north Pigeon...got a buddy heading there tomorrow! Then again wouldn't be the first time we used the boat as an icebreaker to get to some late season musky fishing

I did something very dumb - Electrical help

I know this is obvious...but after the big scary spark you did remember to hook up the battery properly right? And do you have a way to ensure that battery has power and you didn't fry it (if that is possible) -
I personally don't care what my anchor looks like

I have a buddy who has caught lots of muskies on st clair on a spinning reel...we troll with it...only issue is it has no clicker so you have to pay attention to that one!

ya wind is the killer for st c. This time of the year it is often a trip-canceller
