  1. now that looks fun!
  2. Been many years since I fished anywhere around Toronto but when I was a kid we would fish Grenadier pond in High Park. As a teen I worked on Centre Island and the waterways around Centreville were loaded with sunfish and other worm eating species. If Centreville ever opens again you can kill 2 birds with one stone! A bit of fishing and ride the kiddy rides
  3. haha...is that sped up film?
  4. wonder when regular camping or cottage rentals will be allowed
  5. I remember as a kid having a spincast zebco...was allowed to put a weight on it only and I would practice casting in a field for hours.
  6. funny. Also havent watched these shows in years, but thought I would put one on this morning just to verify. Put it on Fishful Thinking...yup...lasted 15 seconds. They had a bunch of products laid out and were going over them. That was all I needed to see. Now if it was amusky show focusing on product? Sure. I would sit through that, but that's because I have a problem. I think if you are hardcore into a certain species you just love to watch, infomercial or not.
  7. I am soooo bored with this quarantine, may just drive 2.5 hours up there to look around. Kind of like a scavenger hunt but way less fun. Hope you get them back.
  8. ya I thought Merc (black anchor) was the one people joked about, not Evinrude. Guess I am out of the loop on who sucks
  9. Hi Cloudy, when I was a kid we used to stay at a place called Log Cabin point...talking 40 years ago! Anyhow, turns out they still exist and they do rent boats. They are right at the mouth of the outlet river and east lake. Fishing was unbelievable at east lake when I was a youngster

Thanks giving them a call right now!

  10. we were swimming in the lake Friday, was pretty comfortable actually (even I had to go in to deal with a dock issue). Having said that, our lake is only 7-10 feet in most spots. Saw tons of bass in the shallows gettin busy...love this time of year!
  11. gotta agree with the others. I bet that boat is rated for a 50 hp (could always check the plate). I would expect at least a 40 on a boat like that, so a 25 will be quite slow with 2 adults in it I would think. Legend is notorious for underpowering their packages to make the price look appealing. If you are comfortable with plowing along then if the price is right go for it. If you want to bomb from South Bay in Balsam up to the Provincial Park in 5 to 10 minutes I don't think this is what you want. Any chance you can water test it? Then you will know!
  12. my buddy loves the stuff. Personally I don't understand why people don't just hang a few ounces of weight ahead of a 10 foot leader (coming from the guy who doesn't have leadcore)
  13. almost musky spawning temps!
  14. gonna go get me some tonight. I don't ever see the juicy big ones in the morning, but at night? look out. Yard is covered in em
  15. remember...to get % you move the decimal over 2 places...so I would say .0136%
  16. Glad I don't eat fish...chowing down on a 110 year old fish doesn't sound like the tastiest thing.
  17. don't you worry. the one time I did make him do the "aquadump". Unfortunately he was right beside the transducer and I caught the whole event on the humminbird
  18. Good luck guessing when momma is gone to perform the transfer!
  19. as far as line capacity, I sometimes troll with a curado 300....which is kind of like a larger bass baitcaster...and it does just fine. Doesn't have a clicker though, the reason I don't often use it. When I vacationed at Pigeon with the family I didn't want to to take all the rods, so ended up having to troll with it. Told the kids to keep an eye on the reel...when they see the spool turning to let me know. Of course not trusting them I did turn around and check it every 30 seconds or so. Good thing I did...we did catch a couple but usually I was the one noticing the drag slipping...they have no attention span. Either way they had fun reeling them in...dad just drives the boat!
  20. can it count to 15 feet? That'll do! When I troll most of my lines are less than 30 feet from the boat. So although I have line counters, I don't use them when musky fishing (or if I use em, I don't actually pay attention to the counter)
  21. oh wow, by the title I thought you had just hit the gym and were headed home to the missus...😬
  22. someone who doesn't have to go poop 15 minutes after we start. Got a buddy like clock-work...gotta take a dump as soon as we get to the first spot.
  23. what??? That thing is huge...but yes, the camera does appear a little close to the fish. That bruiser doesn't need creative photography
  24. wow some real nice perch there!
