lots of passion in those stories. Except the guy smoking the pipe while bringing in a pb...check his pulse

was a great watch again. Couple buddies of mine actually flew to Winnipeg to be a part of the finale. As they call it... "full send". I haven't seen the Q and A part yet, but I know they get a question or 2 in, and get a shout out for wearing our hockey team jersey's that evening...oh ya...and some drinking pictures with the boys after the Q and A was over. Worth a 2 day trip to Winnipeg I guess!

oh wow. Didn't think I had been there...until I saw the art store attached. Then it all came back to me. That is too bad hope they can get back on their feet.

That's gotta be gratifying. Looks delicious too (assuming you like fish!)

I used to launch a 14 foot Lowe side console with 25 hp Johnson with a Toyota Celica...had to go with proper paved launches though

some beauties there!

Not sure I would eat any of those things...more of a turf guy than a surf guy...but sounds like a lot of fun figuring it all out

All the best hope you find what you are looking for! And like others have said...just because the company is smaller doesn't mean it won't have politics. In fact, sometimes it can be worse because you have to work more closely with those who are a pain. Having said that, it is easier to clean up problem situations in a small company as you have fewer people to replace. My boss dealt with whiny complainy staff a few years ago and now we have a great team of people, who enjoy working with each other. Here is hoping you find the same

crazy stuff. Reading this morning it was very foggy conditions. Sounds like the pilot had circled around for a while potentially waiting for the fog to lift. Very sad

NF- (Rant)For those who enjoy whisky, not whiskey
Rizzo replied to b_cdot's topic in Non-Outdoors Open Discussion
Definitely had that happen...my mother-in-law tried to swap a cheap whisky into the bottle of an expensive brand and then gave it as a gift to me. No word of a lie, first sip I called her out on it. She denied it at first, but then when I told her we had to bring it back since it was definitely not right she finally fessed up. As someone else already said, maybe that is what happened to you? Someone along the line pulled a fast one. -
ya cross between a pickerel and a chub...hopefully inherit their flavor from the pickerel gene

glad to hear it worked out. Not sure I want to "test" my ability to get out. I worry the cold shock from the initial plunge would do my heart in. Every year when i wait til October to bring in the swim platform (gotta get under it to unhook the anchor) I think I am done for. This past year I wore a lifejacket doing it so they would at least find my corpse

I remember maybe in 2008 (approx) on New Years Day we fished the Barrie Marina...open water! No ice, we stood on the docks and were casting for perch

nice pics thanks for sharing

although I enjoyed it (a bit) some of it was a bit disappointing...such as: - the one team going to a fly-in...a bit unfair - the new format...39 straight hours was awesome last time (and funny). The new format won't be as good imo - the kid Alex from the States saying "Oh My Gosh" every 4 seconds was driving me insane...wanted to break the tv

having a "Canadian Mist" right now...if that stuff don't make you ornery I don't know what does.

I appreciate your passion...but like the others have said, I just ignore those who are going to complain about my interests. Because of your passion in writing, you will also evoke a passionate response from those who read it. To me, its not worth stirring the pot. You have a very supportive community here, just ignore the others. The Dan Maloney part would especially open you up to trouble as this is a very damaging claim (it may be true for all I know, but stuff like that usually doesn't get tossed around loosely...like in an ice fishing rant). Sometimes just writing stuff like this is the therapeutic part...gets the weight off your chest. I think if you post it somewhere where the crowd is less supportive, you will find a whole new kind of weight added on! Just my thoughts.

sounds great to me!
