hmmm....maybe I am reading this wrong but are they claiming that Buffet Rig goes for $10 elswehere (or maybe even in their own store?). Seems like the price is inflated to show a huge savings. Either way, you got some new lures and that can't be a bad thing! Plus you scored 7 cents crapy tire money!
Hey Jerry...I must have grown up near you. Used to fish the same spot for what we called "Humber Browns" in the spring back in the 80's...yup I'm old. I remember as a teen we would go to that dam where they congregate and not even use a rod. There was a break wall you could kneel on...we would just stick our arm in the water and feel around...grab one by the shoulders and pull it up! My buddy once grabbed onto a 20 lb carp doing this rather than a 3 lb sucker...he got it to the surface but we didn't "land" it. Good times. No clue where to catch a sucker near Cambridge, but good luck.
Not that I agree with this...but maybe he figured some animal, or several animals, would get free meals out of this. Better to feed some coyotes than put in landfill?? Again, I don't agree but I can see this logic
yes...I know there are slot sizes, but I have only heard of this for species like walleye/pickerel...ie fish that people actually want to eat. I had not heard of a slot size on bass before (there are really that many people wanting to eat them that you need a slot? gross). Also, why not choose a lake where there is no slot to have your tournament? Seems kinda dumb that a guy who catches 9 22 inch bass loses the tournament to some guy who brings in 5 18 inchers. Lots about this seems weird.
If the driver acted recklessly that's one thing, but if it was "normal" conditions I can't see the charges sticking. My buddy once drove out but I made the decision to walk because I had my concerns of safety. Sucker took my car though! Saw it go whipping past me on the ice, rotten bugger
if you look at the first one you hi-lited it says it must expire "by time only"...they got you. Its usually a 5 year 100,000km warranty or something like that. Your warranty expired at the 100 k mark...but you weren't allowed to apply for your refund until the 60 month mark...and your warranty was long over by then. This is the fine print that is NEVER mentionned by the salesperson. How people sell this crap knowing you will get screwed in the end is the part that really gets me. This is why I had MORE of a beef with my dealership than I did with XWRP. At the end of the day both are clearly dishonest
I have never done it, but have vacationed on Pigeon a few times and these suckers are everywhere. We always enjoy watching them struggle to get back home on the final day of the rental...always seems to be a strong west wind that day and I guess these things are a bit underpowered. Seems to take them hours to crawl across the width of Pigeon when the wind is blowing. Couple times I was tempted to go tow one across when it was making such minimal progress...but my cold beer on the shore had a stronger pull. They made it eventually!
the reason I mention "long term" vs fly by night...both places were including 10 year warranty parts and labour...well if buddy with his van is gone in 3 years, who is gonna honour your warranty? The Carrier dealer near us is a much bigger operation than the Goodman guy, who was super nice but confessed he is pretty much a one man show. That made me a bit nervous.
