  1. So, in your opinion, its ok in one situation but not another. And im silly?? Okiie dokie
  2. Whats the difference in OOS and under/over slot size? I see aa ton of undersize musky pics,,,,OOS?? What about over slot walleyes? Can I take a photo and release, or not? Stupid, stupid rule. I wont abide by it just out of spite, its so stupid. Call the CO, I just took a pic of a fishh.... S.
  3. It should run +/- 30mph no problem.
  4. Yep, something isnt right there for sure. My 40 pushes my 16ft starcraft 28-30mph depending on conditions. S.
  5. When I catch 4 and 5lb smallies off a main basin weed edge while fishing walleye, I take a photo and release. Takes maybe 2 seconds longer than just removing the hook and releasing. BIG DEAL!! I cant stand bass. I dont target them AT ALL. Fishing them off beds for a "hero shot" of a 2lber is the last thing I want to be doing when ii have time to be on the water. I get that some people take too long, or improperly handle them, possibly causing damage, but thats not me. Lets say, for example, your son hooks a new PB bass while pike fishing. Your not going to get a photo?? Riiiiight!!! Gimme a break!! The intent of the law, and the written letter of the law are two different things. S.
  6. Had a neat one happen today. The GF was trolling a worm harness, with her rod in the holder. Shes messing around on her phone and I see her rod getting picked at by a panfish....i tell her, and she say yeah, I know. I keep watching her rod, she keeps messing with her phone and BAM...the rod goes berzerk. Turns out she caught a walleye, and a small perch on the same spinner. I guess the walleye went for the perch....nice eye too....23"er. S.
  7. This whole oos fish pics thing is annoying. I take pics of oos fish if I get the chance, and I will guarantee they all swim away no worse for wear. Prove me wrong and I guess I would pay a fine. Too many friggen whiners these days. Get over it and grow a set! S.
  8. We got 6 in the slot today, a lot of under slots, and 2 over. It was tougher in the wind today. Fish were there, but boat control was a lot of work. Water temp was 65ish S.
  9. Ive noticed the same. S.
  10. Dont fight the wind, use it. I like windy days. Its like cover for fish, they're out and about looking for an easy meal rather than sulking in the shade when its calm. Im going tomorrow and they're calling for 30k winds....yeehaw! S.
  11. Unplugging lights is just one of my regular routine things to do when launching. Actually, its the first thing I do. S
  12. You didnt just have weeds around the prop did you? S.
  13. Got 11 saturday, and 9 today. Just a few hours on the water, mid day to boot. Its been pretty darn good so far! S.
  14. That crappie is massive! WTG! S.
  15. You didnt try the taildancers, eh? Oh well, your loss S.
  16. The launch in newcastle is another option for concrete ramp with a dock. Also free. As long as the conditions allow, its a good spot for a test run. S.
  17. They'll be fine.
  18. I think your mistake last time was going too deep. Fish the top 30ft. Get a #7 and #9 rapala tail dancer and flatline it 100 ft behind the boat.
  19. I thought it was all the idiots on the roads that made it obvious it was a long weekend. I dont even look at gas prices anymore.
  20. I dont have power trim on mine, and I dont want it, but its mostly because I duck hunt from my boat a lot, and running into stumps with power trim locked down is no good for me. On a motor under 40hp, I dont think you'll see any significant difference anyways. S.
  21. If you need directions, pm me. S.
  22. View lake on scugog. Lived in pontypool for years. In cavan now. S.
  23. Scrape off what you can, and re-glue carpet back on. Can't see it in my boat either. S.
  24. Its hard to keep a good ground on a trailer. I've been lucky for a while now, with no light problems on mine, but I've ran a dedicated ground to each light from the plug. Works great. S.
  25. The only problem with the oil baths is if you ever did blow a seal, you lose ALL your lubrication very quick! S.
