  1. I missed that. Geese are VERY smart. It doesn't take much to "educate" them. Spook them a couple times, and they're gone for good. S.
  2. If you can be there to shoot at them, just run them off. Works just the same. There is a fine line between harassing game, and protecting your property. Just run the silly things off. S.
  3. Your videos are priceless!
  4. I would bet my paycheck that most casualties on the water are by boaters with little to no experience, in a situation anyone with common sense would not be in. Im guilty of not wearing a lifejacket, and i've never needed it....because I dont put myself in situations where I would be at risk of needing it. And, yeah, there is always the risk of something happening, but I could also be killed walking down the sidewalk, so i'll take my chances. S.
  5. Glow frog taildancer, white big O, but if you want eyes, troll some worm harnesses along the weed edges. Its been kinda slow on rice lately, but the fish are there. S.
  6. Glow frog taildancer. TD7 or 9. S.
  7. Jug of sand is all you need for a peddle boat. Just make sure you have lots of rope.... S.
  8. If your neighbor kept a strip of long grass along his shoreline the geese wouldn't want to go there. His boat launch is the problem. Geese look for areas they can easily access the water/shore. A boat ramp is a perfect spot. Leave a strip of long grass along the edge, and put a rope with pie plates across the boat ramp. They are smart birds, they will keep coming back until he makes it so they don't want to be there, or it becomes a pain in the butt to access his property. His beautifully manicured lawn is part of the problem. Killing them, or shooting pellets etc is not a great idea. I don't know how many geese I've shot, and had to toss in the garbage because they had a lead pellet lodged just under the skin, and were infected bad enough that I wouldn't take a chance at eating them. He needs a good dog. I know mine wouldn't let geese hang around at all. He would run himself to death chasing them away lol S.
  9. Same here. I"d rather jig or jerk some husky jerks, but if that fails, the ole harnesses get wet. They always produce something.... S.
  10. My gf also had a walleye-perch attack, but she caught them both. One on each hook of a worm harness. Pretty cool! S.
  11. Kawartha's. Pick a lake. S.
  12. Just be careful now that you don't over rev the engine and fry it! Good news though! S.
  13. Happened to my GF last year. She's been addicted to musky ever since lol S.
  14. Those flats are killer on cloudy days! S.
  15. Yep, id toss the old fuel line, and giver a good dose of seafoam. Have you seafoamed it yet?? The carb might be getting fuel, just not enough. Seafoam will clean everything from the tank, right thru to the exaust. S.
  16. I would have suggested doing that different, but that will work. Takes a lot of time though. Im seriously considering flying there. How long you figure until your done? Is all the material there up to the roof? It wouldnt take long at all to frame that up. A few good days and the roof would be going on. Looking good. I look forward to following this. Very cool stuff! S.
  17. Man, I havent had a follow yet this year!! Only been out twice, and only trolled so far, but still...not going good at all! Nice work boys! S.
  18. I use a 1/4oz egg weight about 18-20" from the spinner, where my swivel is. Toss is back a cast, and let out 3 rips of line. Keep tight to the weed edge, and troll 1.5mph....some days more, some slower. I only use bouncers in deep water....15ft+. S.
  19. I've said it before in your posts about having difficulty with eyes on pigeon. Troll a worm harness along a weed edge at 1.5mph and you will catch as many as you want. Its really as simple as that. I'd like to hear why you don't want to use bait as well. Doesn't make sense to me, if your wanting to catch walleyes. S.
  20. Ive never heard of that place, but im thinking I might never leave if I stopped in there. Might have to add another stop on the bogie trip this winter. Cool stuff! S.
  21. Yikes. That's scary. I think your around my age. I also smoke....I don't drink hardly at all, but I eat whatever the hell I want. I'm in good shape, but you just never know. Keep your chin up bud, you'll be fine in no time! Keep us posted! I still have that open seat in my boat for ya anytime man! I'm on the water a few days a week, just pick a day and we can get 'er done! S.
  22. Try the sturgeon fishing on the fraser river. Its aa blast!!! S.
  23. I would plug everything. Ive seen 3 welded crestliners split open. One was brand new! S.
  24. Ladies have all the luck! My GF outfishes me all the time. I've grown used to it. Actually, I count on it. Just tell her she has the best guide on the water! LOL S.
